The GlideRide 3 set the bar for me, and it's been my favorite pair this year. I just got the Triumph 20 as a backup max cushion pair, and the GL3's cushioning and comfort is much better.

Hey Fordy! Cruised through Chester Marathon in these on Sunday. My first marathon, took it easy just wanted to finish did so 4.16, but last 10 miles these helped me finish strong so negative splits all through. Still a mite stiff but comfortable and I feel they'll definitely break in more.I think these will last a long time as you say👍🏾 btw saw a Fordy runner there, it's a great marathon well organised recommend it😎. Keep up the content dude good luck in your marathon

I'm not used to such a high stack height, and the rocker made it feel even more akward. At first that is, cause it didn't take long for me to decide they would be THE long distance shoes for me. It's too soon to tell, but I think I might even have found my Marathon Shoes :) My Hoka Mach 5's are great for slightly higher paces and medium distance runs, but I'm glad I found shoes that aren't as punishing on my legs and feet.

YES! I'm finding that we are in synch with shoe reviews. You've set a record with my picks and now I trust you🥰👍. YES YES YES. Glideride 3s are definitely more comfy than the 2s. As you stated the 2s are stiff. 3s are excellent for long steady runs. Just an additional note... got my NovaBlast 3s and they are absolutely fab-u-lous! I'm in love 🥰. These blast 3s are my new speed and anything else trainers, and probably could use them for my first marathon (in training). Dare I say... better than the MetaSpeed Edge+? (clearly wasted money there). Thanks for all you do! 👏🏾🏆

Jury is now out on these shoes. Did Yorkshire Marathon and ended up with massive blister on inside of both heels. Started to hurt at about 16 miles. I'm hoping it was the socks but time will tell. Otherwise these will be my half marathon shoes!

I got my 3's last week from Amazon in a French blue fetching little number for 96 quid. Effortless is definitely the word you just cruise along not thinking about much. Step in comfort is fantastic recommend these to non runners who are on the feet all day and need a comfy shoe to put on.....but ...I still prefer my zoom x invincibles. Just for the fun factor such a bouncy springy ride.But definitely not recommend them for non runners who want a comfy shoe 🤣

I noticed you do most of your training on packed dirt is that right? I have a half marathon coming up that's on mostly packed trail and really don't want to use my trail shoes for this one. Picking between glide ride 3 (if not feeling fast on race day), Novablast 3, endorphin pro 3, speed 3 or Tempus for this packed trail race and wondered do you think any of those shoes would be an issue on packed dirt? Really appreciate your reply and been a longtime viewer/subscriber thank you.

Interesting video. I'm overweight at 85kg/179cm and just started the couch to 5k plan a week ago. I bought some new Nike Velocity Nitro 2 after watching your review of them for the 5k but feel that I may be too heavy for the them in the heel area (heel gets a little "crushed" if I stand on one foot - OR is this normal??). I am 45 so need a some decent cushioning but may be the Puma are not for me. Is there any other shoe(s) I could try based on my weight/age and need for cushioning. Thanks

@@Fozzee.1970 GR3 likely softer, triumphs tend to run a bit firm. Also the GR 3 has way more versatility than the triumphs. If there was no novablast 3 this shoe would have a lot more fanfare it's really good.

The Magic 2 has basically the same setup as the Glide 3 ( blast + , plate, flyte foam bottom) . I find it weird that the the feel seems to be different. Is the density of the mid different between those 2 models?

Yeah....asics may just be using the name of the foam as marketing. Magic 2 shouldn't have FFB + on the shoe. Its more accurate to say its just regular FFB not FFB +.

I love the GlideRide 3, but it’s impossible to run on gravel, I need to stop every 2 minutes and remove gravel/stones stuck in the channel on the outsole. Don’t you have this problem?

I see that you often run with the vest. Why? Is it for the camera kit.. Phone etc.. I like to run with just my single, shoes and shorts. No water, no gel, no phone.. And I runs sometimes 2 hours in 30C and 95% humidity. I drink before and after. Garmin often says I lost 1.2 lt of perspiration.. I have been doing this for 40+ years..

Most runners need gels/water when they go out for a 2hr run... I would never recommend going with no fuelling for a long run. But hey everyone is different if it's even working for you than fair enough...

@@kierlak I understand that if you race then it will help you but I just run for my pleasure.. I find the idea of carrying anything annoying. Of course I could carry a bottle of water in my hand.. I live in a farm so there are no places to buy water or anything along the routes. I have neighbours who always say that I should come in and drink water but I don't feel the need while running. True that at the end of the run I am wet like it rained on me 😁
