The world of motorcycle seats have come such a long way in the after market. A lot of riders are brand loyal just like they are on what brand bike they ride. I've been lucky on buying pre-owned saddles for some of my bikes and struck out on buying new ones too. It's just been a kind of a crap shoot for me. I've had brand new after market that was worse than the stock seat! Talk about a bum bummer! I am set on the bikes I now ride. One is still stock and one is a Mustang solo saddle. Sharp and comfortable looking Saddleman you have there ABUSA! Ride and stay safe, and don't fall asleep in that recliner as you travel down the road!
I was looking into getting another seat one day, but yesterday two kittens that I have, decided to perforate my motorcycle seat in the garage! Was I mad? Yes, and no. Yes that they "customized" it without my input, and no, because they are kittens, and do not know any better. Now that getting another seat "one day" has been bumped up on the list of priorities. Right now I am waiting for a motorcycle inner tube to be delivered so I can change a flat. So it is just a coincidence that last night I was online shopping for a new seat, but still the priority right now is to fix a flat, and deal with my "custom" seat until the funds allow it. I just find it funny that you came out with a video about a new seat, and a Saddlemen seat that I was looking at. Take care, ride safe.
@@ANONYMOUSBIKERUSA I did say it went up the priority list, but it is not at the top yet. Planning a road trip, and going to need the funds for it. The seat will probably be after my trip. Maybe an early Xmas gift to myself. hehe
So, this drops you down a bit and is a little narrower than stock? About how much lower does it get you? I have the same paint Gold Wing and I'm liking the orange stitching.
Agree on working on my Road King, as long as I have the means , letting HD service do all the work, like you , rather ride then wrench, limited time. Main riding imo is comfort. Just can't spend enough on a superior comfortable seat....
Thanks for the video. One quick question, with this seat, do you sit closer to the handlebars and your legs closer to side fairing or the position is the same a stock seat? Best regards from Spain
good question. i think it's about the same to the side fairing as the stock seat. as far as being closed to the bars, hard to tell bc with this seat, you sit down IN it and not on top like stock. the saddlemen cups you so much better like a racing cockpit.
Does the seat recline you backwards a little? I have an issue with the standard GW seat in that I end up moving towards the tank and my balls end up getting squashed. This is after a while in the saddle. Trying to not only fix the comfort of the seat but maybe change the angle of the seating position so as not to squash the berries.
If you don't mind I have a couple of questions for you? Does it fit the bike underneath the same as the stock seat, eg. the fixing lugs/tabs and the screws either side? I have a power distributor fixed to the top of the fuel tank on mine, would the Saddlemen seat have the same space underneath it do you think? Sorry for the questions but I would be ordering from the UK and it would be a pita if it was wrong! Thanks.
Does any one know how the saddleman compares to the Russel Day Long. I had a RDL on my BMW... I could ride all day, everyday, back to back.... NEVER ANY PAIN! In fact it was more comfortable than my car ( Avalon)
8.5 out of 10 on the cost.. nice . unfortunately you quality cost money and there ain't no way around it. I'd pick up a saddle man if I had the bigger bike I'm wanting.
