Stock Goldwing seat vs. Saddelmen Heated Road Sofa LS 

I now own two saddleman seats including this same one I just got this past weekend. Love how they look and initial impressions are 👍

My wife's car has heated seats and on those cold winter mornings it does help knock the chill off. That seat looks fantastic on your wing. I have never had the opportunity to ride the new Goldwing but I've never heard anybody say they liked the stock seat. I think you used it longer than most people. Right safe.

High 40's , you say not cold.....you know where I live and to me that's cold . Saddlemen seat looks awesome and like the fact it 's narrower towards the front of the seat, Good review !

Man that seat looks great! I hated the stock seat. Was just uncomfortable to me. I have a stock seat now that’s modified by Wing Soft. It’s ok but I’ll have to look at the Saddleman as an option. Very good video!

I went with Wingsoft first for my 18 DCT. That didn't cut it. I ended up going with the Corbin. That, along with SST Horizon multi adjustment HeliBars make this the best touring bike I've ever ridden. The Corbin Fire & Ice is a game changer. The cooling function brings down the temperature about 10 degrees below the ambient. Of course the heat will burn your buns off. I ride in Central Oregon, so heat is a must. As far as cushioning, Corbin is on the firm side. Thanks for the review. Your seat looks great.

The back/lumbar support however you wanna word it is just a mind trick… Hells yeah it helps in every ride even if it’s to Starbucks🤣 but it’s an awesome thing to have that I was thinking at some point to install a backrest on my GS🤣🤣🤣 Good stuff ABUSA 🤘🤘

I will be upgrading my 2018 DCT seat to the saddle man.I will probably get the heated version as well.

replace the screws for the heater switches from stainless to black screws and it will look a lot more professional !

I love the seat. It came out so sweet. The design is good to eliminate the backrest bracket. How did they know to match the color so right? Did they ask for a photo, or VIN? The only thing I don't care for is the SS screws on the switch assy. They should be black.

That looks much better than stock. I like the narrow sides, lowered seating position. Heated is a nice plus, even if you don't ride in that weather. But you might. Just like clothing, you can't put on what you don't have when it gets cold. But you can take it off if it gets hot. About the gel padding. I put a gel seat on my little 900 Vulcan for my bony butt. On a sunny day that gel holds a Lot of heat. Lit my backside up on the ride home. So cover it from the sun on a hot day.

Hi you made a very informative video but to be honest, I can't see with your installation, how you manage to ride the bike without the seat heating is on!!! Either in mode 1 or in 2 is this correct? Is there another switch to turn the heating complete off? Best regards from a follower in Germany

ANY seat would feel better than a stock Gold Wing seat. They are a torture test. Brings back the days when I tried to ride 150 and 300 Honda's on a all day ride. Stock G/Wing seat will have you squirming and burning in short order. $30 K. bike with a $30 seat.

Seat Def looks like it came with the bike. Do they make a heated and cooled seat?

I have a 2019 Gold Wing DCT that I bought used. The stock seat had a six inch tear in it, which grew to nine inches after I rode it out of state on a long trip. A replacement seat from Honda was ~$1,700.00 which was way too high, so I got a Saddlemen seat like yours (but black stitching). It is a nice looking seat and so far it seems comfortable.

Is the seat plug and play? I heard that the connectors don't plug right into the GW connectors and some wiring is involved. Is that correct?

doesn't look any thicker, must be the gel that makes it more comfortable on the long haul.

Hey I have one more question I just got my saddlemen seat and I love it but the tabs on the back do they hook under the frame tabs or sit over them bcs I can’t get the screws to line up

I have a 2006 goldwing, I bought a saddle man road sofa it is hard I just hate it, I called saddlman they said I needed time for it to break into my butt after 6 months of riding it is still hard and now I can't return it 1200 dollars shot

Why can't Saddleman make the heated seats work with the stock setup. I would've bought this seat by now if they would do that. Other manufacturers make it work. Come on i want this seat so bad
