I bought one. It doesn't seem to have the bass my Doss Soundbox has. However, I went and ordered a second one. Waiting for it. I will wait and see if I am pleased. I will try to update later if I can.
I wonder if the speakers them self are like the water proof 4" 8 ohm speakers I bought as a replacement for a speaker on a tube radio I am repairing. ,the replacement speakers I bought the cone is some sort of a clear plastic or something ?
So, the cost of driving to the depot and back was less than the delivery charge? What a shame. You shouldn't have had to pay or drive. Btw, love the review. BTW, how does it sound? I have a Doss Bluetooth speaker. It's good for the size. Good bass and treble. But not room filling, of course.
Actually it fills a room nicely especially with 2 of them spaced apart. I cranked them up in the garage and I could hear them loud and clear across the street
Take a look at the Sony version, the srs-xb30. I can assure you it’s different. There are some panels double sided taped on that you have to remove in order to access the 8 torx t8 screws holding the speaker out. From there, the speaker is much more well built than this one. No glue on the plugs, but somehow, vibrationless!
Well, i'm not sure about the flashing lights (not my taste) but the speaker does look neat and smooth, nice access to the buttons as well :-D I can't judge the sound but i'ts sure loud enough . I liked the use of 18650's as well, not some special weird crap!!. And now the drop test... nope thats for torches :-D
