I live in the Ridge State Forest in Florida and would love to grow some of these trees here. We really need to be planning fruit trees desperately no matter if they’re sour or sweet. We have to save these trees. Can the public get any fruit from your orchard? Ty

I have a old apple tree, I'd say its at least 75-100 years old. How can I tell what kind of apple it is?? The apple is red with light green tones. It tastes like an Winesap apple(sweet and tart combo). It ripens in late September or mid October. I'm confused, I want to know what kind of apple it is because it is a real tasty apple.

Question- I have 2 heirloom apple trees I love that need to be replaced. Will my current apple seeds produce the same trees? I’ve heard they will not.

They will not. The flowers are cross-pollinating so the seeds are a cross of two apples. You can take a cutting of the tree and graft it or you could try taking an air layer. Both will produce apples significantly faster than growing from seed. Good luck!
