Michael and I have committed to making 96 episodes of The Brain Scoop with Emily, with the hope that, after 96 episodes, it will be able to sustain itself. But even if it's just a big pit for our money and time and no one watches, we will make 96 episodes (which, of course, won't happen).

Can I just say how much I love this channel? I love seeing the specimens, hearing stories about how they joined the collection, learning about the museum, and most of all, I love Emily. Her passion combined with her sense of humor and knowledge is amazingly fun to watch. Also, I love the text Michael edited into the videos; it makes them even more entertaining. Thank you so much to the University of Montana, Karen, Hank, Michael, and Emily for making this possible!

You can contact your local vet school about donating your pets to be used as cadavers for veterinary students. My school has a program where the animals are preserved and we use them for a semester and then they are cremated and their remains are returned to their owners.

I'm so excited for this series! :D a lot of my friends are very vegan (for want of a better way of describing them) and they really don't approve of any form of taxidermy, which often makes me feel guilty for enjoying the idea of so many species of animal being preserved in such an amazing way. I'm hoping this way I can appreciate the idea without dragging them off to natural history museums where they tut angrily at everything.

Not just in the US. India has similar laws regarding vultures. It's mostly for endangered animals though, because it's hard to get information on what happened to the animal out of the context of where it died.
