Just my thoughts on Pittman. Last year was the perfect storm. First, Sam got tired of Briles flirting with other programs, so he rightfully got another Offensive Coordinator. He picked Enos primarily because he knew him and Enos had success at Arkansas before. Sam was also trying to help KJ Jefferson improve his draft stock. Enos runs a Pro Style offense and KJ would need to prove that he can run it--play under center and go through progressions--if he was gong to be drafted high. Then, in order to convince KJ to stay, he was given a lot of NIL money. KJ started showing up in practice in a new expensive car, which ticked off some of the other players. Then KJ never learned the prostyle offense,, the losses started to pile up, and some of the team, including KJ, let go of the rope. I think Pittman had a good motive for what he was doing, but it just didn't work out.
When Bo Mattingly had his afternoon show back in the day, he had a guy from Athlon on and he asked him about the 'annonomous' coaches making comments and the guy admitted it was assistant coaches who make those comments in the magazines, not head coaches.
You wouldn't "copyright" "The Sip". You would 'Trademark it. Copyrights are for literary, dramatic, musical and similar things. Trademarks are for slogans, identities, logos and similar things. Sip is a slogan or identity. I just did a Trademark search. ** "Sip" is licensed by "Sip IP LLC (LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY; ARIZONA, USA)" ** "The Sip" is licensed by CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL ENTERTAINMENT INC. (CORPORATION; DELAWARE, USA). So the goobers in Mississippi are cruising for a law suit.
Say what you will about Pittman BUT he inherited the nations worst team & hardest rebuild. I seriously doubt that even the GOAT SABAN couldn't have reached 9 wins 2 seasons later! Recruits love him and another firing & rebuild would be harder & longer than ever...
