And please for the love of God, DO NOT try to 'tie' him up by getting pregnant when you feel like he's about to leave you. You gotta be a woman with high self-standards.

I'm in my 40's and this modern dating is so confusing and men waste my time texting and talking for hours. Also they want to be boyfriend and girlfriend very fast but no marriage plans after 6 month or 1 year. Is it a good idea to date many men until the best of them proposes or better to accept being a girlfriend (no sex) and if he doesn't propose within 6 months, then move on to a different man?

Ugh this is the problem with most relationships to this day. She's in a happy, fulfilled relationship with a house, loving husband and kids and all she cares about in the material ring. Not what it represents because he's given you what the ring is supposed to represent. You just want the rock. That's all women care about. The rock, the ceremony, the money, not the happy life, beautiful relationship, wonderful kids. People need to understand you don't need material things when you're in a happy relationship. If you can't be happy without that damn stone then you got issues. However in this particular situation, if he already has the ring and she's fully aware of it, he could have done something small and sweet like while they're laying in bed at night, he strokes her cheek, looks her in the eye and when she questions what's wrong, he takes her hand and slips the ring onto her finger and tells her he loves her completely and has has no clue as to why he waited so long to do it. Boom! Beautiful proposal right there and you KNOW she ain't gonna say no.
