@@etherealchels199 Your NISSAN ALTIMA takes bulb # 3056, 3057 OR 3156, 3157. These bulbs are compatible, and should fit tthe same as mine. I checked against the 2010 Altima -- you should be good to go.
lol he said led inserts. Those are 7443R led strobe effect bulbs. Even if it’s illegal. Nowadays, it’s a better safety feature. And we got no issues here. 3-10 flashes is on a sweet spot.
I gave up my flashing center brake light. 9 times out of 10 the car behind me would turn on their bright lights. Other drivers would get very aggressive in order to get in front of me. I think they do more harm than good.
Actually cops have nothing better to do than violate people's rights. You see cops all the time doing nothing but talking or pulling people over for the most petty things.
Actually they do stop you, if you hit breaks and keeps flashing and the flashing won’t stop they do pull you over, your good if the flashing lights flash like 2 or 3 times then stop, then your good
I think those LEDs have the higher number of flashes the better, but the flashing should stop around a dozen or lasted within three (3) seconds, because we don't really need a disco light (and of course, need no other excitements on the roads.) ( = :
I know this is old I just came across it. I think some of the flashing brake lights are good I don't see that they're legal anywhere I've checked in Florida law except for bicycles and emergency vehicles. I'm not referring to being given a break but what the law reads. A couple of statutes to read are 316.241 and 316.2397 subsection 7. Not in motion but lawfully stopped. As I said I think a certain flash on them actually is good but I don't read that the law states it's legal. I've seen a lot of third mounted brake lights flashing and I believe the factory is actually installing those so perhaps there is a provision for those type. Statutes could be confusing sometimes as you have to read a second one for it to support the first one you read. Take care.
I thought of this idea back in 2000 and contacted every major car manufacturer and electronics company, along with the national highway safety patrol in the US. I was 20 at the time, and all I wanted was for safer roads and less accidents. I even contacted insurance companies and told them about the way it could save them money with fewer crashes on the road. All I wanted monetarily was $5 for every new car sold with this technology. Now, i find out this became a reality! Any lawyers out there know if I have any grounds for any type of suit since i massed mailed my idea out to just about every company?
They should be legal on bikes. They catch anyone’s attention and since most people are too oblivious to notice a stopped motorcycle at night they are a massive safety bonus. Plus when you are stopped you can have them not flash. Just good for when you need to let someone know that you are there
That's what happens when you are copying a great idea but misunderstand it and cheapen it in the process, turning the whole thing into a complete mess. When reputable manufacturers reached the conclusion that a flashing brake light gets more attention than a steady one, they didn't go and replace the regular brake lights to flashing ones, like most seem to do according to this clip and the comment section. They made the brake lights flash only under severe braking, while they remain continuous for moderate slowing of the car. There is a clear distinction between slowing down, as one needs to do a thousand times, and that one time when you slam the brakes or else. If that flashing occurs all the time, will only desensitize drivers. As usual, the law will have difficulty distinguishing between a great solution and a crappy annoying gimmick.
Maybe that's the point?! If they "distract" you from looking at your phone or dashboard nav/entertainment, or from daydreaming, and help it register in your brain that the person in front of you is braking... that's a good kind of "distraction."
@@FlexSZN23 Not when you are slowing down 2 mph. If it flashes all the time, when you need to wake up you will just say... "ahhh, one of those flashing thingy" and won't react any better than when you see the usual lights. Flashing should only happen when you brake hard, not for merely slowing down, or barely touching the brake pedal.
