he has way more control over his cleans and mid screams then ever before. But 4 years ago danny didn't run back and forth on stage with sunglasses and thought he was in the 80's freestyling between every breakdown.
For people saying Danny can't do those screams anymore, HE COULD have and still can if he practiced enough. But he likes to sing like it's the 80's. I'm not saying it's bad, I love the new record but it'd be nice to see another album like Stand Up And Scream.
Personally I think Danny's vocals have really improved and his live performances are a lot better than before, not that he wasn't good before, he has just got a hell of a lot better!
If any of you guys haven't already found out, Danny is actually a Hard Rock Singer, he prefers rock over metal but since he is talented into screaming he was chosen to be the vocalist of the band so that's why he prefers to sing than to scream in most of his performances
Oh, wie ich dafür bete dass auch noch eine Aufnahme von Bleed From Within in Arbeit ist. Bei dieser Top-Qualität wäre das ein Traum, und ein Trost da ich erst gegen Ende ihres Auftrittes auf das Gelände kam. In jedem Fall, dass ist sau gute Arbeit die ihr da leistet, Vainstream, Spitzenklasse ! Wir sehen uns nächstes Jahr definitiv wieder ;)

He tore his vocal chords. and later worked with what he had, and matured his voice alot, getting it to where bands now and days dont really do, which is a reason why the new album is much different and more matured because he wanted their sound to be different and no really generic with todays music. if you search around there are interviews where your question is pretty much answered.
Danny posted on his official Facebook page earlier today that this constant touring has really taken it out of him, they're taking a little break so they can all get back to their best.
just met sam today and he said the same. taking a break then touring this year in NZ. hes waiting for his new signature bass to be ready. thats all i am allowed to mention lol

Yea it was like 35 degree after 3 4 bands i was nearly dead there was bands like the ghost inside deez nuts before asking alexandria so it was very hard :D
das war die letzte show ihrer festival sommer-tour und man merkt, dass danny sehr kaputt ist, aber ich finde, dass es trotzdem eine sehr gelungene, wenn auch extreeem improvisierte performance ist. nebenbei noch ein lob an das vainstream-team: sehr gute aufnahmen, fetter sound!
I love how crazy the crowd gets and I love Danny's voice and how he changed it up~ I don't see why people complain about his voice so much. I mean, yeah it's Finns change. Calm the fuck down.

Bin zwar kein Fan von Aking Alexandria, aber ein DICKES LOB an euch "Vainstream Team" :) Sind super Aufnahmen geworden wobei der Auftritt alles andere als gut war. Freue mich schon auf die Videos von The Devil Wears Prada oder The Ghost Inside :) Was fürs nächste mal sehr empfehlenswert ist, sind separate Mikros die aufs Publikum gerichtet sind :) Weiter so ! :)
I don't know what everyone is complaining about with his screams. I think they sound better now than they ever have lol. It's not that he couldn't do the growls now, it's that he's already ruined his voice once, I don't feel like he wants to do it again
my fuckigngeneration had all the best things in life,music,social media that wasn't shit,originality in clothing and hairstyles,inventing selfies,actually active outside instead of stuck on our phones getting fat,skating,meetups with 200 people doing fun shit. good times
Kinda pathetic that this doesn't have more views than Parkway Drives live performance of "Carrion" considering AA is more known. But than again Parkway Drive is one of those bands that's a must to see live.
The old screams and grunts disappeared while he was on drugs and alcohol. Now he just sounds like a soar throated old man. Usually the effects kick in somewhere around 40y, but Danny managed to set a record. The new albums are structurally better, but the best vocals are in Stand Up And Scream.
Great performance.Danny really improved with his fry screams and singing. But he shitted his vcals a bit, thats the reason why he cannot growl anymore:(. In this point(growl) he sounded better 2009.
