I think this is bit misleading. There are many factors that Korean parents have in mind, but I think that even Korean parents that are now in their 50s accept quite well the foreigner significant others of their kids. Of course if you go to a more undeveloped or more traditional area such as Daegu, then yes, you can encounter quite close minded people, but the people from Seoul is in general quite open to international marriage. And I think that more than being foreigner they care about the nationality (if you are European or American is a big plus), and if you speak Korean; if you have adapted to the country and can communicate well in Korean then, they usually don't have any problem with it. On the other hand they care about the education but they care regardless of being Korean or foreigner. I believe that portraying Korean parents as some kind of very confucianism-conservative people that very very rarely accept foreigners it is up to some point, part of the fetichization of the Korean culture and society, some kind of "look, I am foreigner, but I am so special that they admit me", when in reality it is not that rare. I think it is more difficult to find a Korean boy that wants to date a foreginer long term than to find Korean parents that accept the foreigner girlfriend. Anyways, it is very nice that Jin's parents accept the marriage so well ^^

Congratulations!!! Thank God u married in early age. It's really good and not wasting time to wait certain age or to wait until financial stable coz finance matter are always not stable it always changing. It's actually how the couple juggling their life balls to get all in stable right with your own way. Sure your children already grown up . In your 40's all your children already in their early 20. And the fun part is when people thought your son or daughter is your sibling, 😄hahaha. These couple should get marry ,afterall they already live together..so why not get marry strenghten the relationship make it officially.

@@user-tk8br2up2k we are good.we are financially stable now,have our own furniture shop.I didn't regret marrying my husband even if they say we are too young to get married at that time.I am a stay at home mom.so I believe if both work hard they will eventually become financially stable.
