Jason CONGRATS to you and Shelby Me and my wife of 27 YRS Live in Pearland TX 20 miles se of Houston She is a really sweet Girl Jason love the progress on the layout GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ;-)
Congratulations Jason to you and Shelby. I think you guys both make a great couple. As always, I always love seeing the trains and the layout. Keep up the great work. I have to admit she is nice and very funny. Again, congratulations to you guys on your engagement!💍 👏
Congratulations!!! I’ve enjoyed 30 years of marriage with my wife and together we have 3 boys, and I have no regrets. I hope the same for both of you. Keep in mind and you probably already know this, always remember the simple things with your sweetie, because they make a big difference. 😎🙏🎉
That was a cool video. So awesome to see the other side of the train fan and their significant other who puts up with the train madness. Congratulations on the engagement.
Congratulations to the both of you. If you thought the, "When are you going to get married?" questions were annoying; just wait for the, "When are you going to have kids?" questions to start.
OK ... BEEN WAITING TO SEE MORE OF SHELBY ... BE SURE TO INCLUDE HER IN ALL FUTURE VIDEOS ... SHE IS AN ASSET TO THE HOBBY ... SO COOL !!! ... CONGRATS ON GETTING RESOULTION FOR LIFE'S PARTNER ... BE SURE SHE FULLY UNDERSTANDS THE "TRAIN" ISSUES ... MOST OF US HAVE TO HIDE THE DETAILS (NOT TO MENTION THE COSTS OF THIS HOBBY) ...
Awe Jason you let her run the N&S train. Wow….Shelby he really likes you. Nice to meet you Shelby. Congratulations on the engagement. Been married 35 + years. My wife likes to look at the trains from time to time but never run them with me. Nice to see you might like the hobby too. Have fun kids.
This video was a lot of fun looking forward to part 2. I have a question for the both of you. Are trains ever involved in your lives outside of the basement such as holidays, anniversaries, vacations, etc?
Congratulations you two! Just popped the question a few months ago and am also engaged! You're very blessed to have a lady who supports you in the hobby, as am I. Blessings on the years to come!
Congratulations Jason! She is a keeper(and your not too bad LOL!). My wife has put up with trains for 29 years but she knows where I am if I’m not upstairs. 😉 She does support my hobby. Wish you two all the best!
Great video JD. Nice to meet you Shelby. You have a very kind and happy personality. JD, you are so fortunate to have found this young lady. Marry her soon, dont let her get away.
Just an FYI. My wife is involved in my 625sq ft layout. She does ALL Scenery and has her own train but Scenery she loves Including painting and weathering.
Congrats to you both! Learn to complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, learn to say what the heck when it doesn't matter and you guys will go far! Found this video and your channel and your channel a week or so back and watched with my wife earlier this week. Jason, your story of being a modeler/railfan goes a lot like ours... I showed her my collection of HO stuff, which at the time fit in a slightly larger than normal bedroom closet. The thing about the YT channel made us giggle pretty hard. Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations To the both of you. My wife and I are marred 41 years. I enjoy marred life and with a bonus my wife also enjoys model real roading. Have a wonderful life together.
Congrats! This was a good video, and the “fur kids” are the best. Sm my question for the future Mrs. is what are her hobbies? I mean you have a tiny train hobby, what does she do to escape? One bit of advice on your big day, take time to just take everything in, it’s going to be a crazy day and it’ll be over before you know it.
Congrats, I got rid of an HO layout I purchased on Craigslist I watched for months. Never really did anything with it due to just getting out of school and working. My gf at the time always made me feel bad about selling it instead of keeping it. Ten years later we are married with two kids and I think she regrets her comment with the time and money put into my current layout now lol. At least she k it’s where I’m at😂😂
Congratulations on your engagement. It is always great when you have someone that supports and/or participates in your hobby. In our house, my wife is the BNSF fan, and I collect various eastern railroads. It works out well.
What great video with the two of you, Jason. Shelby has a really great attitude about your interest in the hobby and isn't shy about being a part of it. Congratulations on your engagement! That's a big step in anybody's life. Have you set a date? Well, eventually, all will be revelled. Have a great summer!
Congratulations. You did great keeping it a secret for so long. If push comes to shove I want first dibbs on one of the NS Office sets. LOL (no seriously) LOL
PG warning! After my parents were married, my mother's cousin would call her to chat. They were both from West Texas. The cousin would ask what they were up to. My mother would reply "laying track." The cousin thought this was a euphemism for you know what. Disclaimer: I did not hear this story until I was in my sixties.
Congratulations !!! I wish u both the best of luck . My collection is not as extensive as yours and my wife is very supportive and it’s working well for us . We’ve been together for 40 years .
Good to see her enjoying herself in the train room. You need to put a ring on her finger, she's a keeper. My wife likes to sew and quilt, I buy her lots of threads, materials and sewing machinery, what does Shelby like to do and do you support her hobby?? I'm like you I spend quite a few thousand a year on my trains, etc and my wife....sometimes supports it, but I think we share each others interests; its what makes our relationship better. Good video.
Absolutely loved the video. You 2 make a great couple. God love you Shelby for putting up with a train fanatic. We can be a handful at times LOL You'll always be able to find him anyway, IN THE BASEMENT LOL LOL
Take my advice Jason, have a short engagement. My wife and I were engaged for 6 months and that was too long. Get married as soon as possible. Sounds like you are already living together so just go for it. Married life is the best. . .esp when she understands your train addiction. Congrats Jason
Congratulations to you both! But Shelby, out of the steam engines, that your fiancé has, which one is your favorite? Once again congratulations to you both!
Shelby and Jason Congratulations to your fiance and you as well. She seems like a very cool my sister and my nieces live in Texas also. Have a lovely Fourth of July. Victor from NJ.
Congratulations to you both! There will be great times and bad times but if you both work together and sometimes agree to disagree you can make it forever. Having a partner that loves the hobby will help. Me and my wife have been together 33 years and married 30 this year. And for my question. What do you love about each other? And how do you think you will celebrate your 25 anniversary?
@@JDStucks True!! The next big test is what happens AFTER the wedding. That's when a lot of us learn that the pretend game is over. I didn't learn that until she died aged 62. My wife had a very cunning approach - a lot of people thought she was the ol fashioned pre-1950s wife - my man is my hero and i obey him. But in truth she was in charge of just about everything. But she always let me think I was the one calling lthe shots She died before I learned how she did that. She would put ideas in my head and I would think I thought of them. "Oh that's a clever Idea Michael!" she'd say. So my warning to you is ... just because she says something doesnt mean she is thinking the exact opposite. Women can bide their time for DECADES if they see the need.
One thing Shelby you need to get as interested in trains or you will loose him Im speaking from experience! Congrats to both of you! When did you get sticker shock when you saw all the trains!
