I wonder if Destiny's side of the family is Puerto Rican. Her grandma reminds me of my family. When she was talking about Salsa dancing with all the great Salsa bands playing, I thought of the Fania All Stars. She may be a bit younger for Fania, but that's who came to mind. How she reacted to her grandma getting married is how I reacted when my mom said she had all her kid’s natural with no epidural🙃 and she only got it once with the last one because high BP. She didn’t even know she was in labor. The stories we never hear about our parents until we’re adults!

Your grandma is so right with her advice to you about taking care of yourself. As a mom & I'm sure most moms can relate, we tend to put our needs on the back burner when we really do need to take time for ourselves which in turn helps us be the best moms that we can be.

I love how Destiny's grandma was telling her she needs to make more time for herself and just because she's a mom she needs to take herself too. I have 3 kids and it's so hard for me to make time for myself or even doing the simplest thing as doing my hair and makeup this is definitely one of my goals this year is to make time for myself

When your grandma was talking about taking time to take care of YOU, like keep up with ur hair, nails, wear cute lounge clothes she’s so right.
