Luck of the draw if you are not on one of the special categories. You might have gotten in this year and might not have gotten in the next or the previous year. Once you've read the first 15 applicants' resumes, the rest would be similar. One accepted applicant can be replaced by an unaccepted applicant. The school will also choose students based on the school's various needs. All of the applicants are A+ top dogs of their high schools and once they get to Stanford they become C and B average students.
It's crazy to hear these students talking about studying 10 hour's a day.. But we middle class students from asia use to go USA in student visa but our priority will always be working more and return that money back to our nation.. Obviously, we have to do more work because we need to pay those money back which we took from other people while coming to USA for the fees.. 😂😆 So, our priority will always be work and money then study.. And i had also applied for Youngstown state university, California state university and some other university as well hope, i will be accepted and i need to wait 1 yrs just for interview 😂😆
Not its competition but rather to indicate billion ppl of India Its tough competition to get in is not the indication of quality of education (as elite uni.) Rather to show 35 million of our Indian students
4.something means out of 5. If you take honors or AP classes (both harder than normal classes; AP aka Advanced Placement means you take a test at the end of the year and if you score high enough you get college credit). An A in honors or AP is a 5 on the grading scale is instead of a 4. So if someone took all honors or AP classes and got As in all of them, they'd have a 5.0 weighted GPA.
What the heck you guys!? I've never heard of Tiger Woods before this week and now he has come up twice in the past 3 days! First in Indonesian class when we were watching that documentary about Nike factories in Indonesia and Tiger Woods came up because he made enough money every minute for many Nike factories workers to buy a house because of his Nike sponsorship, and now again in the introduction to this video! Kinda frickled up though the ridiculous amount of money these people make, they don't deserve it I'm sorry, that great amount at least. It would be fine if they gave away most of their money to charity, but most don't really. They just give small portions that seem big to most people, but compared to their actual salaries, it's a very minor.
Save Bangladesh students. We the students of Bangladesh facing attack by government. More then 950 students killed. We need you attention in Bangladesh
@@Davey-os6hk Typically alumni means you graduated from the school, not rejected and laughed at it. I've worked with dozens of soulless Stanford grads and I saw why he left.
Stanford has a lower acceptance rate than MIT. It also has a higher ranked computer science and biological sciences department. It’s medical school and law school and business school are all in the top 3 and MIT is nowhere near it. Stanford is better than MIT in every respect.
@@thechessplayer8328 that's cause so many stanford students are of a result of legacy, donation, or sports, all of which have 0 to do with academic performance.
