@@zuendapp1252poor mentality will keep you where your at this is why the rich people are rich because they get guys like you to spend $100 more when you could have saved that
This is due to fanatec users mainly being people who don’t chill in a RU-vid comment section. It’s yet to be seen if moza will hold its value as they release new products however at the moment, product selection is limited. This is liable to change and some other brands have wonderful products, they just haven’t had the same amount of time.
@@AndrewAshley23I had similar issues , they’re a bit late on the response time but at the end of the interaction you’ll either have the product or your money back . I’ve heard similar stories about moza but maybe I’m speaking out of turn. They’re both excellent products, especially for the sheer enjoyment of driving. My statement is mainly about longevity… Of course fanatec isn’t the crème of the crop when it comes to sim wheels and accessories so, the bar goes pretty high
@AndrewAshley23 I'm down the fanatec route and 8 months ago I told a coworker to go down the moza route because their what I would have gone with at that time. He had an issue with his moza base had to have it fixed and it took 4 months for them to fix it. Since he's gotten it back he loves it. Bad customer support is the sim racing industry lol
Idk bro, I've had my Moza R12 for a month now and used it daily since then, the FFB is absolutely exceptional, the quality is exceptional, the reliability, utility and ease of use are exceptional. I'm very stingy and usually don't buy things at all or often regret it, but for this every penny well spent. The only slight gripe I have is that all the settings presets were ass, but I figured it out after a few days so probably just inexperience/incompetence on my side. In any way, I would never buy a Fanatec.
Pretty pissed to find out that my fanatec wheel does not light up after spending all this money when my cheaper thrustmaster setup lit up perfectly fine (running Xbox)
@@mike617Learned the hard way too. 3 years on my wheel is fked and 3 weeks on no response for fanashit. Worst company I've ever dealt with. They're either arrogant, stupid or both.
@@Eversio_MrHollywood I'm looking at getting a DD wheel, do you have any experience with any of Thrustmaster DD wheels? I'm coming from a Thrustmaster t500rs wheel and it's been brilliant for years so just wondered what their DD's are like?
@@-JackK2412 I have the T818 from TM the only DD they make and it beats hands down any FN or Moza 😅 obviously if you spend a 1000 bucks on a base from Moza or Fana they re gonna be slightly better, but for the price the t818 is unbeatable.
I think it's funny that he says that moza and others are made in China, when you look under the bottom of your fanatec it says nicely that it's made in China. but we pay a wildly high price for fanatec...
That’s why he should never have had Fanatec hardware manufactured in China. He literally handed the blueprints to his competitors. If you noticed there weren’t any consumer direct drives until Fanatec came out with the DD1/2 and then the CSL DD spawned Moza and others. This is why manufacturing needs to move out of China.
@@AnAceCaseso what does that mean? Where their based don’t mean shit if they’re produced in the same place , it being German doesn’t fix the shit customer service
his answer is good and bad at the same time. other companies are doing things that are more modern unlike fanatec. i started with fanatec gear and graduated to other companies
@@imJGott well I disagree...I have the dd1 and honestly it's been fantastic. I've tried all my friends thusrmasters and dd CSL and all extremely disappointed. The new moza etc I know are getting good reviews but they look like shit ..honestly the all look like retro plastic crap. Now the new clubsport DD being described as better then the dd1 shows the progress...I am very confident that fanatec have been watching and will release the new king soon (they will wait for all the clubsport stuff to sell) then they will announce the new podium base with podium pedals ....it's so obvious. Anyone thinking that fanatec don't have an answer to the markets offerings and are just watching themselves being robbed needs a wake-up call
@@racecrashrepeat I had a dd1 for 3 years but had to move on from it because it started to get EMI issues with my DIY wheel and with the Fanatec wheel as well. Fanatec pricing to use a non Fanatec wheel is ridiculously high ($250 shipped with taxes). I moved on to simcube therefore I’m not tied down to an ecosystem. Fanatec took almost 3 years to drop their qr2 so what makes you think they’ll release more up to date wheel rims and or pedals? Fanatec really doesn’t offer wheel rims (excluding the bmw rim) with backlit buttons and or a screen.
Fanatec customer service is nothing short of crap!!! Ordered weeks ago, shipped with incorrect paper work to be returned to Hamburg and just sits for weeks and counting. Multiple failed responses from emails when emails are returned it’s the automated crap. They keep saying we have hired additional help blah blah blah. Don’t buy from fanatec if you actually want a wheel setup as all your spending your money on is a picture of one. I’ll be placing an order with moza soon.
Not happy that existing dd owners have to pay a lot more for the new qr system (for ones who had issues, some didn't, I do) on top of the paying for the gear. Ordered into canada, dealing with huge shipping costs ($39usd) for 2 small size items. Not to mention duties (which is okay). Total is well over the 3rd of the price of the csl gt dd wheel base (that I paid). Good to see this guy is proud of that...
Shipping costs are not Fanatec's fault and do you not expect them to make any profit? Don't like it, don't buy it. They are a business and have employees to pay.
I don't think MOZA wheels are better, they are just not bigger than 28 cm and I can't slap just every wheel rim I want on a hub with Moza. On the Formula wheel side Moza might be better but the McLaren wheel is just one of the best deals in the Simracing world.
moza products are already having lots of failures. And it's typical chinese engineered type failures, like pieces just breaking off. They probably just stole Fanatecs FFB shit and that's the only reason the software isn't having problems. lol. Never trust anything Chinese engineered. Really, I hate the fact Fanatec even has their products made there, but at least it cuts down on costs. But China sucks, and they build garbage ass stuff that breaks because in China they don't have to give a fuck about the consumer. It's all just, shit out some products and rake in the cash while people are still buying the bull shit you're selling.
@@kreativerjungeactually first of all they have both 28cm and 30cm and above wheels round and formula style and the quality is insane from personal experience, and you can actually slap more wheels onto Moza bases than on Fanatec bases because you can slap non Moza wheels onto Moza bases which does not work with Fanatec. Additional, Moza isn't making new DD bases that don't fit old wheels, so yes, Moza has the better wheels. Also, the FFB is better, Moza bases don't have the "grit" that a lot of Fanatec users report looking at CSL DD vs R5. Only downside to Moza products is that in the 5nm and 8-9nm category they are slightly more expensive.
yep you doing something right but you completely don't have any idea how to provide customer service and how to ship items on time. But you know very well how to lock all orders and label them "completely shipped" so customers cannot cancel orders and have to wait a few months for delivery.
@driderv53 Perhaps, but if youve got no issue with the QR1, why bother? 3 wheels worth plus the base side is around $500 USD. And if you consider the Clubsport DD, well it's over 1k to upgrade.
He will remeber this interview for long time! As his profit deacreases drastically, and goes to Moza, Simagic other great producers. I was surprised when heard from friends that csl DD has failures for 3 guys and constant problems! Thought it is rock solid, seems not.
Ive had my Moza r5 for a few weeks now. Definitely recommend it. Will definitely be staying with Moza wheels in the future. Bought it in China and pretty much got it for half the price they sell it for in US/EU
I think Fanatec is finished. With brands like Moza, Simagic, and Asetek, there is literally no reason to buy Fanatec unless you're in their ecosystem. I mean, the only thing they had to show at the Sim Expo was a damn quick release, and all the other brands still have a better one. 😂😂
@epyc_ryze literally just a CSL dd with a litte more Nm and the New quick release. All the other brands out there already have a mid range wheel base like this so its nothing new. Again, all they had to show was a damn quick release.
moza already passed fanatec. they actually have products in stock and the overall quality is just better. don't get me started on the sad excuse that fanatec calls a quick release
Moza is bringing out a wheel specific to trucks ETS2/ American Truck sim/farming sim etc ,something fanatec has never envisaged. I am sorry to say that truck sim players far out way car racing sim players ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pcJ6NKc6qlo.html
Moza did copy Fanatec’s DD bases. Just look at the design and the way it functions. How many DD wheels did Moza put out before Fanatec introduced the Podium or the CSL DD? None. Once the DD were introduced the bases were reversed engineered and Moza improved upon them. The wheels, though, are a different story. Fanatec really need to copy Moza and the others.
@@nathantw im sure they mightve gotten inspired by the passively aircooled design but theyre different in too many areas to call it a copy. hopefully moza gets inspired to make a ps5 compatible base soon aswell. using an adapter is a little tedious lol
He should be scared of their own business practices ... and lack of actual improvements and innovation. I spent the last 5 years running Fanatec products up to the DD1, December i dumped them for ANYTHING ELSE>
Jackermeier isn’t scared. He is crying at this moment. Fanatec choose their own doom. From spring till autumn they lost financiers and staff. On top in winter 2023 they collapsed totally. It was their worst year and now the good years are gone. But they deserved it for not supporting customers over years and calling them thieves buying on Black Friday. The 25% apologies coupon can’t rescue the drowning company. The brand Fanatec is ruined and their market share will shrink massive.
reading lots of negative here...however had issues as well with my Fanatec wheel. They sent me a new part within one week and free of charge and this out of the warranty period . Has to be said too.... ;-)
@@Savagepaddy I just checked, they’re assembled in China (like 95% of stuff to save money) but they’re designed in Germany, iPhones are the same, designed in California and made in china so I’m ok with that
Kudos to Fanatec they where the first to give us innovative products in a time there was nothing else on the market. Who do they attract today console and people who start with sim. They stopped innovating to this day they have no highend pedals they missed that boat years ago!. I am on Simucube gear today but it is easy to see that in the short time asetek is on the market they have surpassed them on gear bye a long shot!
Fanatec is simply better. Hope they can sort it their business side of things because they have the overall better product and ecosystem and not to mention much better pricing and compatibility with games. 💯
There’s thousands of people in the uk not receiving orders. Costumer service is none existent no phone number and emails get sent too a bot and everyone receives the same email. My order came two months late and when it did turn up I never knew it was coming. Paid the import tax by the Fanatec app and it never updated its self and still said I needed to pay it so if you do pay the import tax ONLY PAY THIS ONCE!! and screen shot the transaction from your online banking because the UPS delivery driver won’t give it you if not!! Not a goo experience when your order its worth over 1k with absolutely no contact whatsoever tracking numbers are never given so you can’t even track its location.
Well, that is maybe why I have troubles with my order as well... damn, I bought a csl dd during Black friday week... and it's been a week that my order is completely shipped but with no tracking number to this day... and I am in canada so it's the same story all around the globe xd.... Honestly kinda scary to spend 1k on a sim setup, just to see people complaining about reliability, shipping and customer service... Hope mine will be ok, cause I will not bs able to put it to the test before Christmas because I need to build the rig and I'm curently approaching my finals....
@@starman5872I spent the same amount of money and it's a good thing I used PayPal. I put a dispute in to get my money back. I no longer want their product after seeing all these issues. My order said completely shipped, but that was a lie. That's just a status that they do on all their orders. I emailed them and received an email back 2 weeks later telling me that my order would be shipped in 5 days. Those days came and went and nothing. Emailed them again...crickets.
Is he really saied that moza is copying ttem !!?? No really with that release of QR2 and the new 12 and 15 nm that are already existing at moza ??? Without speaking of wheel design... 100 differents of Fanatec !! He accord me more reason to leave Fanatec (when i got the money for) and go for Asetek stuffs as I tried them at the sim expo
He is saying these other companies are from china. He should think twice before opening his mouth because all fanatec products are made in china. I have a lot of fanatec products but this guy spouts about his products are designed in germany but does not mention that they are made in china.
Ordered a full setup with wheel base, wheel and pedals from moza website last week and everything shipped earlier this week and will be delivered in the next two days. I was expecting to wait much much longer. Pleasantly surprised with moza tbh
fanatec is not the number 1 anymore to many problems they know the qr is bad and still sell it if it is broke make a good one and keep the price normal now it looks like thy make the bad stuff so you will spend extra on an other part even the led display dont work on xbox fix that i want full use of the wheel
Moza copied the good aspects of Fanatec (build quality, product performance, etc) without copying their god awful support an attitudes towards consumers. If I wasn't already in the Fanatec ecosystem I'd have a Moza wheel right now.
I recently bought a cls dd new. Main factor for going fanatec base was the second hand market. I am gine with used rims and saved quite some money getting them used. Moza second hand is not there yet. Also when i bought the base, moza had only a couple very expensive rim options.
Moza has jack all for accessories. I already have 3 Fanatec wheels and plan to buy another soon. We will see how Moza is in 10 years. Then maybe they will have some options to choose from.
They are dropping 3new rims and a sequential gearbox early 2024!... You said accessories but then mentioned wheels? Maybe you can get the fanatec fia porsche rim - for 10k lol...
@@Savagepaddy Started with the CSL BMW wheel (cheap rubber like wheel), then bought a CSL universal hub and put my own car rims on it and now I own a Podium hub with a Clubsport classic leather wheel, which is real nice (no Podium button modules or shifters). There's so many options to choose from with Fanatec. I'm thinking of getting the Porsche leather flat bottom rim next (currently on sale).
Moza made it to microcenter before fanatecs dd wheels so freaking unfortunate. The only DD wheelbase that you can get in 2 days of being able to pay for it in america are the freaking logitech g pro (1k) and Thrustmaster (billion dollars). Moza at least made it to microcenter. Im still saving up and want to get the ready to race start bundle from fanatec but I also want to be able to actually get the product in a reasonable amount of time
@@AdamOutlaw87 I mean if they did it would be a no Brainer on my end. But let's be 100pct real As shitty as walmart is they still have a shipping standard for their products. Their in store product can be out and they'll never care but since they are trying to compete with Amazon on the shipping side they would decline to work with fanatec in a heart beat. Furthermore they will also not take just any of fanatecs gear. It would be up to the 8nm bundle. Hell if they could even do amazon I'd be much more willing to get their bundle. But unfortunately (fortunately) amazon doesn't work with companies that sell items with 4 month shipping dates Further more looking at the ceo, he simply looks dead tired. There's nothing wrong with realizing when your in over your head. This is the guy that's the face....he can't do his job. When your a company with a decent tech/ product sometimes it takes relinquishing power to upscale the business and continue earning more money. He should strongly consider a sell or invite people with more resources to come take over the manufacturing and delivery of the product. Because he can't do it.
depends where you live if you in EU you are fucked up if in US then max 2 weeks and you should get it. Oh and if you in UK you are more than fucked up 🤣
From What i read in trusted shop people also say moza is trash so from where should i buy my racing settup does any of you have any experience with moza bevore i buy stuff from them
Id be scared if i were him, as a person who ordered a full ecosystem from these crooks and pre ordered the DD+ in nov. they are releasnew bundles and people have them within week and im still waiting since original preorder. Im goin full PC and ANOTHER SIM RACE COMPANY
To all who understand business, each company has its plus & minus. Chevy-Ford Toyota-Nissan But you will also see better more expensive products come out. Buy or Save to buy what quality of product that makes you happy 🏎️ 💨
I’m sorry but 2 months of waiting time for an order here in Canada and when I had to rma it it took a month and a half to get an answer then another month and a half to get an answer to my answer which totaled to 3 months and a half just to send it back to fanatec then it took about 2 months to get it back (and I had to pay duties and taxes a second time which was about 450$ CAD). All of that for me to sell my Fanatec crap and convert to Moza 😘
I own The V3 Pedals since 1 1/2 years and I really like them. The material the build quality. The reliability. All convinced me. This weekend at Sim Racing expo I had the possibility to take a closer look at their wheel portfolio and honestly... it's been pretty underwhelming. The platistic used looked and felt cheap. The buttons as well. The rotary switches felt sluggy and imprecise. In overall it made the impression of cheap toys. Even the Porsche and Bentley wheel didn't felt or looked worthy to me. Nothing I would be willing to spend multiple hundred Euros for. And in side by side comparison to Asher racing, Simucube, and especially Asetek with their innovative, high quality, modularity and a clear upgrade path Fanatec need to do their homework properly and think about improving their quality!
