Wow, am im the only one that enjoyed this game? The Story was good, the cinematics were sick, gameplay was great, the different builds were fun. Are people only shitting on it because theres not much to do after the campaign? tbh i havent even played since i finished the story, the rest doesnt interest me at all, i played the story, finished it and it was great.

They again put hard cc into the game and last Friday they said they can't easily increase monster density due to us being chain-cc'ed. Like, remove that from normal elite/bossmobs. Also, so many stupid variable cooldowns. Am I supposed to stare at my skill bar or my character? Also, why do I never know what killed me? Why do I have to waste two skill points in the basic skills when I don't want to? Why does the game always nearly crash when I port to town? This game is a mess. But at least the micro transactions work. I have a minion necromancer in season 1. I will take her as far as I can stomach it/the patch for TW: WH3 takes. Currently I am in world level 3 and I don't even look at the loot that I vendor.

I’m still playing D-2R, and just yesterday completed and put on my SSF Offline full “Immortal King’s Set”, on my Level-76 Hammer Mastery Barb !! It was an amazing feeling, and my Whirlwind was smashing P-7 Hell Difficulty enemies with 3-4 spins ! ☺️

Trying content he's not ready for and the game is at fault. It seems like any game that isn't immediately easy and he understands it well right away it's a garbage game and he quits. Just stick to Solitiare and Minesweeper.

The worst mechanic in this game is explode on death. It happens with such frequency to go along with lightning being cast, shit being revived and freeze being cast or coming up as a wall and fire being belched that it becomes so overwhelming in mobs. I played the lvl 70 capston at levels 59-62 and until I leveled up on the paragon was way too squishy. If folks have beat it at level 54 and below I promise it's either with with armor that gave life and had health regen built in or they did it with a crew. Only other way is the renown boost from all 5 areas and the 20 paragon points that come with it. Otherwsie, they didn't do it. The jump from 50 or 60 to world tier 4 is more challenging than the jump from tier 2 to 3. I

There is a clear indicator of when he does the blast wave. He raises his swords and waves them around and screams for like 3-4 seconds to let you know to get ready to dodge. Also, it's you, not the game. It clearly tells you what level you should be at to do it. So many people believe you should be able to do shit 10+ levels above you without any challenge. Diablo 4 has flaws, sure. However, it has nowhere near as many as people claim. If you want to do things above your level, expect a challenge or play something else.

You cant reason with asmon because the reasons he provides for his D4 hate are all actually a front to cover up his poor giant ego. He knows chat will eat him up for dying in an "easy" game, so instead of just playing the game he wines like a baby when things dont go his way. Its sad because hes also severely constrained by his Blizzard history and would throw that company and their passionate developers under the bus far before he would ever confront his own personal issues and deep seeded insecurity and anxiety.

I respect this take, but I'm gonna go with the "I'm enjoying so nothing could possibly be wrong with this game" approach here. If you enjoy it great! But that doesn't mean D4 doesn't have many areas that need to be improved for the enjoyment of everyone. Yes the negativity gets old, but those people are needed to draw attention to glaring issues that would otherwise just get overlooked because "I'm enjoying this". Just don't watch the hate videos. It's like having all the food in the world in front of you and wondering how anyone else could possibly be hungry.

You missed the whole point. Even if it kills him, there has to be a way to avoid. A random burst of damage without telegraph is simply a terrible mechanic regardless of his level.

@@grandrtiv26i agree that there should be more indication of when it’s going to happen. I don’t agree that it has to be avoidable. There are examples in elden ring (a game that he thinks is one of the best of all time) where there are mechanics that aren’t avoidable but he didn’t complain this much if at all. It’s a bit inconsistent. Regardless there are ways to circumvent getting one shot. Build a more defensive character, use defensive skills, or pursue dungeons more in line with your character’s abilities/level. He’s just seems frustrated that he can’t progress like other mainstream builds with one he likes.

What you said about Elden Ring is true and is literally the biggest problem of the game imo. Dark Souls bosses did not have attacks that you couldn’t avoid and that’s why bosses felt significantly better than in ER.

managed to do it on my necro at 58 with minions + sever build, just had blood mist since is a lvl 70 dg, is prone to have some wierd combo that 1shots you. And those minions they melt like butter. Later on on t4 had to swap to bonespear coz of it. BUT i completely agree with being a shitty situation to have a mob 1shot you outside the screen, no markers to indicate he s about to do a smash or something. No way that s fun, really bad design or prob untested.

Anyone offering stat fixes to this death doesn't get the point. It's not fun getting one shot killed, and the grind to get better in the game isn't fun either. We play games because they are fun. Endless grinding on the same thing for hundreds of hours for cookie cutter gear is just poor game mechanics. Nothing stands out, builds are all so similar and boring. They took one of the greatest game franchises, watered it down and overcharged us for it. Asmongold gets it.

To be fair, Asmongold was fighting lvl 70 enemies with a lvl 59 character. I think it's reasonable to expect to be one shot if you are more than ten levels below, no? That's how RPGs work, if you are in an area with higher level enemies and you can not beat them, it gives you a motivation to go elsewhere, level up and return when you are stronger. But I agree that some attacks need to be more telegraphed, so the player can have a chance to react, I think this can be improved.

Literally bought grim dawn 3 hours ago, compared to the 4 hours of diablo 4 i played before attempting to get a refund, the gameplay on both games is night and day. Grimdawn i have 5+ abiltiies i actually like using that all have an impact (including my basic hits) - and to add to that - i actually feel like im getting stronger

I tried PoE as a semi-casual player. I hit around level 10, realized I made a mistake with my skill tree. I wasn't following a build guide cause I would rather throw my face against the wall a few times until I find something that works. Then I found out about orbs of regret. So being only level 10 I decided to remake the character entirely. It wasn't much time wasted and I played around with the passive tree builder online. I hit about 10 amd felt so overwhelmed by the tree still because my decisions were too impactful right from the start of the game and I haven't played it since. That was like 2 weeks ago. 😂 I liked PoE, but I don't like following build guides.

Regarding beating Elden Ring while level 1 - dude, the only reason you completed any From Soft game is because of streams and chat. Without it you wouldve quit DS1 after an hour, same with Elden Ring, because chat was your guide and compass. You are only good for swinging a weapon. I tried it got rekt... got my health up to around 4k in like 1-2 days... did it again at level 67 or so was EZ as hell! You just need more HP noob.

Well, what's so weird to me.. is being upset about not being able to clear a 70 level dungeon as a lvl 59 and getting pissed off about it. Ran into this exact same elite type earlier. 😂 Tried doing the cathedral of light at lvl 40. Pretty sure they put em in the capstones to prevent early completion. I don't recall the frost "poof" death elite being in season 0. Mix them with other CC elites and it's a bad time. You can't even react at x.25 video speed lmao. Diablo 4 is fun for me bc I play with my gf and friends. Without friends, it's cookie clicker. 100% agree. You can't play better. My advice is play casually w/ friends or don't play.

Tbh when I first tried the capstone on Tier3 at lvl 66 I got oneshot by those big guys as a Barbarian. He could have easily dodged those attack and just killed the mobs. Thats what I did. Wait for attack -> dodge -> dmg the mob -> repeat if needed. Not saying it was fun getting oneshot but could work through it. Also I don't know why you would fight an enemy that you can not see. Also valid that the guy was 11 levels below the content and I was 4 levels below and still had problems.

Asmond REALLY needs to give Grim Dawn a shot, it's the perfect amount of complexity and unending creative builds. Muticlassing and constellations allow you to solve just about any problem in the game and you can stack resistances for whatever fight you're having a hard time with. I've already uninstalled D4 and gone back to playing Grim Dawn until PoE2 arrives

I personally don't mind the speed of GD at all, I find when ARPGs start moving so fast that you just clear an entire screen with no regard for what's going on that it get's stale way too fast. You are right about the end game though, that could use some more dynamic fights. I'm just a huge fan of the combat options and how you can mix everything to your own taste and make it work. Plague fire build with a demon companion, dual wielding shields, DW lifesteal fighter with traps, 2h lightning tank build, long range artillery build, etc

I see both sides of the argument. The game wants you to be within a certain level to the area, so health pool and DPS scale. so #1 you need more health. Then #2 the Dev's also need to allow us to see farther out, WTF are we so zoomed in for? #3 Everyone wants to over achieve and beat a higher level boss and move up for better gear. The last two are where this game is CRAP, along with many other QOL issues that we shouldn't have to deal with at this point in gaming. The game has a chance to be fun but the DEV's seem to want to force us to GRIND GARBAGE just to play their game? No thanks Blizzard I've already put my money where my mouth is and moved on. If and when they et us to today's gaming standard I might come back depending on what other games are out.

I am playing summoner nec and completed that capstone with 54 summoner nec, the key is not to stand where that guy is facing, a summoner is able to kill that exact mob easier than every other class as our summons can distract him much easier.

I love Asmon but really don't know what he was expecting with this one. He choose to play a build that is low on the tier lists and he knew as much. Tries to go do a capstone 11 levels under recommended with said build, struggles and quits. Yeah the mechanics are kinda shit but we've known that since day one, what did he expect? I think the real reason he was done was annoyance from the viewers constantly exclaiming "play bone spear" "play blood mist" minions are garbage etc. So he wanted to try and show that HE could do it anyways, even extra 11 levels early. When he hit the wall he got frustrated bad and it all kinda boiled out.

It's a dungeon 70+, you are level 59. I did that yesterday with a barb (level 59 as well), died a bunch of times, upgraded equip and learned what it does. He stops for a second and does a very specific animation before firing what looks like an ice spell or something, it does oneshot... the game isn't perfect but you definitely don't know how to play. Either learn to face enemies much stronger than you or come back later at a much higher level or yes... quit the game, not for you, nothing bad in it.

I think d3 reaper of souls was better. I played pretty much only dh in 3. All its builds were fun besides karlais point impale. Rest of the classes were meh to me. Now in d4 rouge plays nothing like dh and imo is the 2nd most boring class to play behind druid. Idk i got bored with d4 before i finished a single playthrough. You use the same build the entire time and it lacks that oh shit i got an item that either changes up my build or maked me way stronger feel from d3. D4 is just repetitive, boring, trash.

IDK... I never felt like there was anything to do in any Diablo game after beating. All you do is just farm a single dungeon or boss, or you restart the campaign on a new game plus or new character. The games haven't changed in over two decades. I'm still having a great time with D4.

It’s hard for sure and the challenge and build crafting is rough in the beginning. but it has everything I thought D4 was gonna do huge build potential, really fun boss fights, challenging endgame with things to actually do.

Also, there are serious balance issues, and because too many people cried during their last live campfire session, they are scared shitless and now dont dare to offer balance patches for fear of more tears. Thing players dont realise is, if they dont attempt to balance stuff, eventually there will be just one overplayed class. i dont want to be specific, but for those of you still keeping updated with the game, you know what i mean. There's no need to play any other class that takes 10 mins to kill lilith when there's one that can do it in under 1 min. Also in pvp, its dominated by 2 classes, the other classes dont even need to try.

When asked if you should be able to kill any boss at level 1, he simply said that you should be able to AVOID taking damage. Obviously in this kind of game you wouldn’t have nearly enough damage to kill Lilith at lvl 1, but you should 100% be able to dodge every single attack, otherwise it’s bad design.

I am in full agreement with Asmon on the builds being unplayable unless it's meta. Necro minion should be primarily the reason you play that class. The only thing i argue is that he can't complain about getting one shot if the NM dungeon he is trying to complete are 20 levels above his characters level. Yes, getting one shot is pure garbage in this game, but is he getting one shot by mobs about 5-10 levels above or by 20 levels above?

I don't know if anyone else has done this but I've completed my renown for each zone on world tier 1 even before doing the world tier 3 capstone. So that it's done and out of the way before I hit lvl 50. Now when I do capstone and get into world tier 3 I can fully play the game with nothing holding me back. I feel that way I have min maxed my time in game. ( casual dad gamer here lol)

PoE was an easier game. It’s simple. He has less resistance than what the enemy he’s fighting against can deal through frost. He got killed by a frost status explosion. Again, my point stands. Unless he can pay his way or breeze through it, he “doesn’t give a fuck” about it. Diablo 4 isn’t a perfect game but to cry about a loss that resulted in his stats being sub par to that of the enemies isn’t the correct excuse either.

But he clearly says that he “doesn’t feel good” when he can’t do anything about damage he takes he can’t control. There is a way. Grind, lvl up, equip stuff that boosts resistance….fact is he just doesn’t WANT to do it and that’s fine. The thing is that now that he’s come up against a barrier, since it would take literal hours of him grinding to get past this challenge, since he can’t find an easy way out (paying or breaking the game) he quits and shits on the game that couple hours ago he was just breezing through it. Remember Artorias? He even said it himself that he would have to bang his head against a wall for an hour and then he’d beat it but he doesn’t want to because he remembers what it did to him. Now, this can also be another well thought of tactic where he puts on this show and drama only to rack up views when he decides to bring D4 back up and get past this part. I didn't suffer through all 3 hours of Asmongold's pain, like he had to... but every time I watched a bit of this, he looked just utterly bored and deflated. Like, he was really wanting the fun to start, but it wasn't happening... and then we get to the end where you have to fight the end boss, RNG, with just one ability, raw numbers. I 100% agree it's time to move on to another game. This is like when I find myself logging into an MMO just to do daily quests, which means I'm not really playing the game anymore, just treating it like a job I have to do.
