@@buffoonustroglodytus4688 Yhorm was a gentle ruler over his people who appointed him. But the same people (funny enough) always doubted him and looked at him with disgust. Giants were overwhelmingly treated like shit being used as mere cannon fodder and subjected through torturous experiments. Even so, Yhorm always tried to prove himself to those that doubted him. He ultimately sacrificed himself in an attempt to save his kingdom but he failed. As he arose in the custscene, he looked around, saw that his sacrifice and torment was for nothing and let out a roar of anguish and sadness.
I wish he played it, such a great game and it would be really entertaining to watch him play it. It also seems like his kind of game with how it doesn't treat player like an idiot.
I would love to see him play Ds 1 and Ds 3. I remember, it was like end of april where I was really sick and he said, that he is going to play DS when the revamped version comes out at the end of may. It really helped me to deal with my sickness, because i was so fucking happy that he'll play my favorite game where i got like 1000+ game hours. ... It's nearly decembre now, he didn't touch it :(
The music is ... too good ._. I have all the albums and I love listening to them, also the cinematics are fucking beautiful every single fucking time I watch them I get goosebumps every time yeah.
@@miguelromero1163For a very long time we thought Manus was the Pygmy because he was called "primordial man" and nearly had the full Dark Soul. Dark Souls 3's DLCs disproved that theory though
@Phytom He beat the first one because he got helped, he beat the 3rd one by luck as he fat rolled the entire game and relied on chugging estus, heavy armour and dumping everything in vitality, and ofcourse he skipped the 2nd one because you can't cheese it no matter what, as you must time your dodges perfectly - he couldn't. He also quit bloodborne as it required even more skill than the others.
Dark Souls is fucking huge. I can understand if he's never played it, but to have never seen the intro, to know basically NOTHING about it? Like that's unheard of. You would think he'd seen something of the games, even by accident. It's literally everywhere
Not really dude. What do you mean everywhere? I havent seen shit apart from stuff I have looked up on youtube myself. It's not like you walk out and get bombarded by Dark Souls trailers or something
@@TheMegaRin I mean like for the past seven years every game that's come out since Dark Souls has tried to copy or bank on it's success and incorporate it's design/mechanics into their own games. All three DS and Bloodborne have won game of the year awards, and let's not forget the whole "this game is the Dark Souls of (insert genre)" meme that's still in game reviews to this day. It's been a cultural phenomenon in gaming, and Asmongold knowing basically nothing about it is a little bit odd, him being a hardcore gamer and all. Just saying.
@@gameofpayne asmongold is not a hardcore gamer. Hes a WoW hardcore gamer. Thats why he constantly goes on WoWhead, talks about blizzard and the game. Ive also never played or watched dark souls games because it simply that kind of game doesnt interest me. And im sure if the game was "everywhere" i would probably have seen it by now.
Sincerely disappointed he hasn't given these games due respect by playing. 1 is a masterpiece. 3 is an incredibly enjoyable experience. 2 was fun and beautiful.
I'm kind of sad that he didn't watch the Dark Souls 2 one. For all of the shit the game gets (and the flaws it does have), it has a really fucking cool opening cinematic (in terms of raw production and quality I think it's the best, but it doesn't do what the other cinematics do which is where it gets it's shit from) and in all reality is not a bad game. I do hope this means Asmon will play the games in the Souls series. They are some of the best games out there and are a lot of fun. Maybe someday he'll even play Bloodborne if he ever invested in a PS4.
I personally think Dark Souls 2 is the best Dark souls game followed by one and three. Something about the environments and the grey feeling of it all.
Hiraeth Dark Souls 2 isn’t bad but its just... different... I’m not sure how to describe it, but as a player of all three I can tell you moving from DS1 to DS2 just felt weirdly jarring. They where similar, but different enough to be really confusing. And I think thats what most of the DS/BB community thinks. Its not a bad game just.. different.
@@michael6079 I do agree that it feels different. I actually started with DS2 (SotFS) a few years ago, and when I went back to play DS1 for the first time it just felt.. different and clunkier and took awhile to get used to. But. People DO call DS2 a bad game. And it's really not. It actually did a lot of things better than any other game in the series (though it's by no means perfect; I don't try to say that it is. Nor do I think it's the best game in the series). I can go on for loooong comments about this kind of thing, but I really don't think this is the place for it (though I do love discussions about the series as long as people aren't assholes :p).
@@michael6079 Dark souls 2 had a lot of faults. But it also brought many great things to the series. (Which they didn't learn from going into 3). PVP in Darksouls 2 is unmatched. That shit was fun. The amount of builds you could do, that's just not possible in 1 or 3. It had a pretty good balance. Biggest gripe of 2 is that the level design doesn't make sense, and some areas seemed rushed. Mostly towards the end. Which I definitely agree with. But it's still really fun to play through, and didn't stop me from enjoying it. Edit: I'll also add Darksouls 2 had the best expansions aswell. And really shown what 2 could have accomplished if they took their time, and wasn't rushed.
Dark Souls 1 is a genuine masterpiece and if you're patient and don't rage quit when you get to the Taurus Demon like 30-60 minutes in then it will consume you and become one of your favorite games for the rest of your life. It has plenty of flaws, but even the flaws become part of your love for the game. It's probably my favorite game, and it's one that I can always revisit and become immediately immersed in and terrified by the cold and hostile world, no matter how many times I play it. Dark Souls 3 is an incredible game, but not on the same level as Dark Souls 1. Dark Souls 2.....you might like it, but you might not. For some people its their favorite, some people don't even consider it a good game. For me I was super hyped for it, moreso than I was for Dark Souls 3 or Bloodbourne, it's the only game I've ever pre-ordered, and yet it's the only Souls game that I started playing and didn't no life it until I finished it, I still have never finished it, and I think that says a lot.
I said the same thing, Dark Souls needs way more cinematic in game. I get that a lot of people like finding out the story themselves, but not all of us have the time to spend to figure everything out. For me, It's only a game with challenging worlds and bosses to make your way through. If I want to know the story, I have to look up fan made videos.
Budget for what lol. The game's lore is simple, you're ashen, and you go kill the lords who are denying peace or w/e but that's literally the bare minimum, scraping the very top crust off of the lore. the real shit is in the items. They can't really make cinematic for items no can they lol.
Actually I played those game sometimes you will become salty, and rage quit that happened a lot of times when I first darksoul I then demons soul , darksoul II , Darksoul III , Blood borne , and sekiro.
Dark souls games are great. But for some people to call it a masterpiece is a bit of a stretch. But it's a damn good game, a masterpiece for me is doom 2016. That game is godlike.
It is a masterpiece tho lol. There is a reason the term "the dark souls of ****" is popular. It set the bar for that type of gaming. Not to mention, the lore is literally multiple games deep. Some shit is still being discovered to this day lol as people gather items and make connections.
Under What rock does this guy live ? Has the news of steam engine even reached auch an obscure place? Brahh...ur playing with a fossil corpse of a game.
“This is actually really cool” yeah bro, there’s cooler things out there besides epic mounts, raid gear, and achievements. I feel bad for this dude. He won’t even allow himself to immerse into the world he’s so stuck on LOTR and WoW and other shit. Ooh it’s minas, is that golem? Dude just shut up and watch the Dark Souls trailer lol.
Nah. It tells you the basic lore (creation/genesis) without spoiling the current meta, kinda like the opening of The Lord of The Rings; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qj139dE7tFI.html
