In dungeons, I don’t worry about tanks. They don’t go lower 50%, unless they want so. As a heal, I worry about other idiots that stand in fire. Gladly, Evokers can move them to safe place.
Yeah I just let people die when they stand in shit, had someone yesterday say they were in fire, well yeah I see that and just prioritize my heal elsewhere
@@kwicnak4350 You realise that all classes are getting a nerf to the point where they are within 5% of eachother. Clearly this isnt exactly what blizzard had inteded at the making of theese builds so they are nerfing them to preserve the life of the game. Just because u cant handle fair nerfs isnt exactly a content creators problem, they just highlight things so it gets fixed sooner rather then later so they cant have a big impact on the game.
@@Slashresto If you think that game designers dont have the tools to run numbers or think about this before it happens and that this was "unintended" - but we as players have tools to simulate every single stat on evrey single item in every single specc in every single combination within 5 minutes - you are out of your mind "we didnt intend for this to happen" is basically just them admitting that they didnt care.
@@AftermathRV This is Blizzard we're talking about. They've always been incompetent when it came to balancing, and since GC left it's been even worse. The people doing the balancing don't even play the game, or play with a fucking drawing pad (Celestalon). They simply are so bad at the game that they couldn't even do this themselves.
I remember I played a character throughout vanilla to like late TBC or something that had a dangerous time killing just 1 mob. A very poorly built, frail and geriatric undead warlock that liked to melee :D
Thats why the newer expansion is the more trash it looks, 3 year old kid could play this, 0 intensity with pve, they took that fun part from game, sadge..
@@ivankrushensky Mrrlrlrlrlrlrlr was even better.. but actually as i recall it most humanoid became feared at 25% including murlucs mrlrlrlrlrlrlrllrlrlrlrllr The issue is im twisted as it is with vanilla vs the newer expansion easiness. Like in vanilla.. you really had to concentrate about the game on just basic trash in the open world. a constant kill a few mobs sit down eat/drink.. spend time to find a mage to buy cheap food from. spend hours in trade to find groups for dungs/raids.. Then spend hours or even an entire evening to complete a dungeon (looking at u BRD) On the other hand this gave the game a real challenge and you wouldnt just get max lvl in a few days. it also enforced the teamplay aspect and people got to learn that being a toxic player on a server would result in an unwanted fame which would make it way way harder for them to find groups... the professions back then made so much more sense and was way more worth the grind than it is today. in todays version the only real challenge in the game is in myth dungeons which any does not even take an hour per run.. and if you are like me one who aims for keystone master they wont even take 30minutes... To be honest i think WOTLK was their best middle ground between vanilla and how it is developing today. I dont believe wow would have stayed as big as it is if it had kept the difficulty for everything as it was in vanilla. some of the things they should deffo have had done but not all of them. But how to find an easy balance? Say they decided to keep dungeons as big as a challenge as they were in vanilla, but reduced their size to avoid taking half a day away (looking at you again BRD) then people would easy be able to gear up their chars in no time. This will in return punish professions even if you add a speciality like again WOTLK where each profession had their special own item such as alchemy had their own never ending potion. any ways i actually just wanted to write a few lines.. ending up writing half a book and the only reason it aint a full book is that im stopping myself in the middle of my own argument xD
Not to this extent, but I did do AOE farming like this on Paladin in 2007. Not just tanks but giving anyone the power to sustain themselves and DPS at the same time results in this. Necromancers in Guild Wars 2 had abilities that allowed them to mass DoT while also making those DoTs heal them. It was weak on single targets, but you get like 5+ mobs on you and you were practically immortal.
tanks were doing this since Wrath, back then it started with DK and Paladin and yes the other couldnt because they lack sustain. Giving tank classes self heals or absorbs results in degenerate gameplay like this and solution is oh so simple ... take away any form of relevant self healing, its MMO its supposed to be played as MULTIPLAYER, you want big pulls, get a healer for a party ... but noo instead they gave self sustain even to classes for which it makes no sense - DK or paladin kinda makes sense, maybe even a druid, anyone else ... ESPECIALLY warrior - just no
@@RockapeGTM Seems like you need to actually. *He said the WHOLE TIME, which is where you would be incorrect. As he was pulling he fell as low as 51%. Once he engaged his abilities/passives put him back, but even then juggled between 97-100%. So was not 100% the whole time. [Edit: someone else stated the duration, but point still stands]
This big horde of mobs is meant to be killed by big AOEs in a quest's riding sequence, so the low damage and loot make sense. That said it still looks absolutely nuts.
I remember when prot paladins were like the only ones who could do this consistently. I remember getting so many rage-tells in the Wrath pre-event since nobody else could get necrotic runes.
I remember when i was paying prot Pala in naxx 25man we were going heigan and almost whole group died on 1st dance and then rest in second. Everyone was telling me to wipe it and i was just nope i wanna teach you how to do it. So i started going full heal and took him from 80% all the way down to 3% or something like that then i died just Cause i didn't wanted to kill him while the rest of the group didn't do shit next attempts no one died 😂 prot Pala was NUTS in that time
I just started out in Dragonflight and was a bit careless with my newly acquired dragon mount, got jumped by far too many mobs, tried to run away but would just pull more mobs so had to stand and fight. My DK tank dealt with about 10 mobs like it was nothing in pretty much starter gear, I just couldn´t kill as fast as in the video.
@@ExceedProduction honestly, i feel like blood dks are protection warriors with extra edge, they're both immortals when played right. Imagine le me, barely lv 60, 20k hp, no idea how to play the damn game as a protection warrior. Imagine le boss, 331k hp, hits like a truck, saw a lv 70 warllock die to it. I'm like "damn, this is the mission i was given?" ..... be me, 10 minutes later. Full hp. With a dead boss on the ground.
Paladin word of glory too. Can solo a matched level elite and a mob at the same time because Word heals like 50k on prot and 20k on ret and power builds super fast (level 60, but earlier when tanking healer would just stand there and cast an occasional spell. Going to DK tank and see which is better for least damage and best near ded heals. With better gear i could slowly solo dungeon mobs on pally prob (same lvl)
@@itouchbuttons he didnt say has always been he's say has been which is true I do this on my tank demon hunter all the time to and solo mythic bosses without loseing any health really tanks are stupid strong because of mythic plus meta
@@itouchbuttons You can do this on Wrath with a warlock in leveling gear. What are you talking about lol. A heroic geared tank in wrath could absolutely do this.
Yeah i was already a little mad when he uploaded the first video thinking they would probably nerf prot warr. But luckily they nerfed all tanks equally. But this video just gives prot warr more attention :(
Problem is that a dev watched it that doesnt understand warrior. Asmon is perma in def stance. Thats not how good players play the spec. Because 5% of the nerf went towards a def stance nerf, this pretty much made warrior even stronger compared to other tank (who got 10%). Clueless dev combined with a mediocre famous streamer = completely f*d up tuning, who would have thought
@@djag-2001 Mate don't act like his video was enough to get Blizzard's attention to it. Everyone has known for weeks now that tanks are OP af and need to get nerfed even if slightly.
And that’s why I play tanking classes. I love LOVE seeing how much I can pull. Only thing that stops me from pulling the map is losing aggro from not atking them yet
@@pedrothin Mages didn't run face first into dozens of mobs. They had to carefully pull them and avoid getting hit at all. It required a more nuanced approach than this.
"OMG nerf wars" What is not mentioned: that zone can be pulled entirely by any tank, and most dps can pull half of it. But yes let's use a 50 seconds clip out of context to generate more random panic.
He used a few 1.5m or close to it cooldowns. Any tank can do this doing the same. Now put him against a tough single mob. Prot warrioir single target dps is one of the worst in the game.
Blizzard HQ: - Ayo you seen this video? That warrants a nerf! - Man you don’t say, the shit was crazy! Nerf is coming on the next reset The next reset patch notes: - The gold dropped from mobs in the outer world reduced by 63%.
thats also pretty easy to do on a prot pal at 378, its not a secret if you overgear stuff it becomes easy. mob scaling doesn't really keep up past a certain point as far as damage goes, its just the hp that keeps going up
@@Vassild Bruh he did this in a dungeon which I think was mythic. There aint no simple reason over the fact that they're overpowered and the balancing is trash as WoW often is.
@@Vassild indeed they are. Point is, non of this is excusable for being "he's just overgeared against weak enemies". Tanks are overpowered right now and will most likely get a big nerf.
Man, now I don't know what to play. My Devastation Evoker is at level 69 (giggity) and I enjoy it for PvP, but I'm very tempted to go back to DH for PvE content because of how busted tanks are and how busted Havoc is. That and soloing content is just much smoother as DH as you literally just pull everything together and burn it down while healing with leech versus Evoker where you panic once a few mobs hit you. And yes I know this is a warrior PoV but I'm sure Vengeance can do the same.
Me looking where to use my lvl 60 boost token: “should I use it on my lvl 27 warrior and try that class for once? No, that would be a waste” Me now: “…FUCK!”
Ive only played Wotlk (on private) and never ever played after this extension (I also dont know what it has after). Is it normal to poll that many mobs ? Because in WOTLK you can only poll (solo) 3 mobs max.
Them: I am just casually questing here. Asmon: Hold my soda I'll show you how it's done. Blizzard: welp looks like Asmon is at it again we must nerf the Warrior now.
Prot warrior being trash in the Last 4 expansions: no one talks. Prot warrior finally being a good tank: oh my god, they need a nerf, because they are better than prot paladins now.
Hey Blizzard, please just nerf tanks to a point where nobody wants to play them in Dungeons higher than M+5 and DDs finally have a reason to cry again because they don't find groups or the tank just dies. What people don't understand is that the content where tanks are being played right now is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT in 2 weeks. This will look totally different in M+. Why are people complaining? "Oh no, my group isn't dying constantly in M+ Dungeons, what a shitty game design!" "Casuals must not have fun!" "Why are there so many tanks? Finding a tank must be a pain in the ass!" M+ and Raids havent even started and some people already think they know better, wihout even being able to test difficult content. Who gives a fuck if you can solo 100 cannon fodder mobs or do very big pulls in an m0 (!) dungeon? People could have waited how things turn out but noooo, we must nerf NOW because M0 is the same as M+10. Ffs.
Felt like I was doing something wrong in dungeon with tank having nearly as much heal as me and sometime outhealing me, is it going to stay that way at lvl 70?
In the TBC/Vanilla solo players would go about paying healers to heal them in random quests. Any mmorpg classes today are self healers. Also the named healer classes do the highest dps.
