Like he said every hole has a story. Everything his mom had is still there as well and has a story for each thing. He talked about a few things here about his mom. You see little hints of it in his normal content whenever his mom gets mentioned or something she had gets mentioned. He loved her and got her anything she wanted because he could. His mom bought him a crappy HP computer and that's where it all began. I think the gamer life and his other life circumstances like his mom dying have led him to live like this. This is a hunch but I have a feeling he has no IRL friends nearby anymore. He definitely has friends online but not so much anywhere else. All his MTG playing friends are off doing their own thing with their own family. He doesn't want to forget the stories and old memories because he's lost his normal social life. He also doesn't have a normal life anymore, he's a very well-known person. I've read well-known people often end up the loneliest because your friends turn out to be fake often and just want to get a piece of the clout. Finding real friends is hard. I can empathize with him some. My friends did alright getting out of high school. Most have a family now or are planning one and have a house but I don't. I'm renting a room from my sister as she has also gotten a house. Everything I own can fit in my 700$ truck that barely runs with room to spare. I went almost straight downhill for awhile after high school. I'm climbing out a deep hole of 10 years of health problems and have no IRL friends anymore. My 3 good friends from high school still talk to me around once every couple months but that's it. I don't have friends online anymore and I have 1 older friend but we don't hang out or anything. She's got 13 years on me. I live in a similar chaos, I know where almost everything is but there are too many things. My hoarding nature comes from the lack of friends, a bit of min/maxing, and a lack of need to change. My memory is horrible unless I see the thing related. Then it all comes rushing back but if you asked me the same question without showing me the related item I couldn't tell you. I don't want to lose those memories and I know I will lose them without a reminder. I've found things and thought of things I hadn't thought of since I was in 3rd grade. It's amazing how the mind works with memory. It's all up there, you just need the correct circumstance to trigger the memory. I hope everyone has a nice day. Sigh.. I'm going to go forget everything I just said and disconnect from reality.

You make a great point. I have a history of making places I live in just as bad, if not sometimes worse than this, and it stems back to my rough childhood where my mom was a MASSIVE helicopter parent. My mom had an explosive anger problem, and one of the things she would get furious with me about was the tidiness of my room. I grew up with severe anxiety as a child and adult, and I now actively avoid cleaning and tidying until it's reaching a point of disaster.

thats not always the case. my house is just as messy maybe slightly more. i make 80k a year and am extremely happy. not lazy at all no mental issues. i went to a few phycologist with ex girlfriends and they all tought i was extremely reasonable and sound of mind. im just not materialistic and dont give a crap about stuff getting piled up i drive a rusted out 2004 dodge caravan and i could go buy a new car right now but it works fine so why bother? i will also say i never get sick. people are more suseptable to sickness if they live in a sterile enviroment. its scientifically proven fact. low level exposure over time will factually make your immune system tougher and more resilient. yes for many it could be depression, isolation etc... but for some like myself or asmon apparently its just not a big deal. he's a multimillionaire if it was a problem he could just buy another house live there and just keep the old house as is for sentimental reasons. people just overreact to this because its not what sociaty and media say is normal.

@asicveg I didn't mention anything about his hygiene, I was talking about most of his house being a cluster. As someone who is also a gamer degen who has grown up in a similar situation, after I got out of my old house, I can't stand a mess like that anywhere in my house. However, I'll let it slide in my bedroom because I don't really bring a whole lot of people to my room. My point was that if he had moved out or if he didn't have an emotional connection to the cluster everywhere, he probably wouldn't be so on guard to cleaning up. I don't think it's fair to say he lacks discipline. However, I'd agree he's probably depressed to a certain extent.

Dirty dishes and filled trashcans are a separate issue that is probably something to do with him being busy/depressed. I'm not making excuses for him nor is it really anyone's business, however it was a remark in response to Xaryu pondering/questioning outloud to his chat.

​@@ImAnOcean Majority of comments are directed towards the person who made the video, I shouldn't have to spell out that I was addressing a remark made by the Xaryu considering this is a video about his reaction to the other video, and if you watched the video you'd know that Tectone offered "You ever want me to ah clean up a room or something, you want me to like pick up a little bit sometime or nah". So it should be common sense that when I bring up Tectone in my response to why I think Asmon keeps the house a certain way it's within the context of the cluster of stuff throughout the house. Also I addressed that I wasn't talking about his hygiene to the first person who misunderstood, which by definition means "conditions or practices conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness." I.E. dirty dishes with leftover moldy food not just his shower routine or dirty laundry. So either you didn't read my comments all the way, or you're "reading comprehension" isn't all that great. Even the gaming room needs a complete overhaul first step the bug and extermination crew second thing would be maids coming in and cleaning everything probably them first before the bug crew and rat crew to make sure things are dead. @@erikrulez17 If you've listened to his reasons on why he would take months off of streaming then it's pretty apparent that he is suffering from depression. His mom passed away, his dads health from what I understand is declining, he lives alone and he has massive amounts anxiety. And, like Xaryu was saying, your mental state is reflected in how you keep your home.

Too bad no one can help him too. He has to want it.
