Great video! Can I ask why you didn't remove the old sole patch before gluing the new vibram on? That black rubber patch doesn't come with the shoe. Thanks.

It is an integral part of the sole, not a patch.

Is this standard practice now in cobblery , to just put over a protector on a leather sole? No changing the sole for a new leather one or just a half leather sole?

@vadeadyl When the original leather soles were totally gone, we replace the soles otherwise we try to keep the original soles and protecting them.

Hmm..how did you fix black dye? Not one the sole edges,but on shoe itself? I think i want to restore my own heels 😣 where can i buy all the stuff (dye,brushes,cleaner,filler..)

@Gi Si you can use black leather dye(fiebing's or angelus) you can buy at the local repair stores or Amazon:)

I used fluid type of leather filler, but paste or cream type would be better result:)

love these type videos. but you probably need a last for hammering on those soles. and thats not a criticism. just be easier for you. have a look at vetiver's lab channel
