Reading from the Book of Creation (Sefer Yetzira), which is the most ancient and arcane book of Kabbalah.
Reading starts at • ASMR עברית Hebrew Kabb...
The Book of Creation is the oldest book of Kabbalah, and is the cornerstone for all Jewish mysticism. Its teachings date to Abraham the Patriarch, and its knowledge had been transmitted orally from teacher to pupil since that epoch, for thousands of years.
The word Kabbala means the "receiving" of esoteric spiritual teachings in this direct, personal manner, when the pupil is ready, and has mastered the exoteric teachings. Kabbalistic wisdom was not to be found in writing, and there was no access to it for those not personally initiated in its mysteries.
This oral knowledge was first put into writing during the 2nd century CE, around the time the Mishnah was compiled, and all previously oral teachings were transcribed (because of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, and the exile and tribulations which put in danger the further preservation of the ancient oral wisdom).
As its name suggests, the contents of this book deal with the elements of creation, from the non-physical realm to the most tangible manifestation of our reality, through the Sefirot and the mystical meaning of the Hebrew alphabet, as well as the relationship between the macrocosm (the universe) and the microcosm (Man).
The book is very concise, and is comprised of about 2000 words (roughly 8 pages), like a code to be deciphered by those in the know. Throughout the ages, the greatest of our sages have written commentaries and elaborated upon it.
