I remember my Mom's Avon Lady in the 1950s. She always wore gloves and a little pillbox hat and she always smelled wonderful. I was raised to stay out of grown folks face, but I was so fascinated with the Avon Lady's carrying case full of fragrance, lipsticks, etc., that Mom always let me sit in on her visits. She reminds me of Mom's Avon Lady.
I felt like Susan started from the bottom, worked her ass off, and reached at the top of the tier which led her to this shining new get-up with this expensive aura, and *I live for it* ✨💅👄
The 80s Avon was long before it became a pyramid scheme. It used to be a legitimate business where reps just sold products door to door and has clients and their money came from a base salary and commission. There were no tiers until the early 2000’s

I think my comment gave a hint that Susan had gotten involved into some hierarchial scheme, but I was only just describing her hustle and all and may not reflect reality at all haha. Don't get me wrong, though, it's great that I got to learn a bit about Avon's history (I actually didn't see Avon as a legitimate business ever lol).
I think I was too young (or not born lol) when Avon was big so I don't feel the same nostalgia as others might but I'm SO obsessed with these vids too 😂
Yasssss! Avon is back! And mom is doing great guys she’s experiencing dry mouth due to chemo.. so no double chemo.. it was just her weekly medication of rituximab.. she’s home but goes back Monday.. thank you so much for the love and positivity! I sympathize with your mom, my grandmother had lung cancer and sadly now is passed but I remember her being on all the meds and seeing her fight so hard. Sending you and your mom all the love 💕
My grandma used to collect the unique Avon bottles. I still have a swan shaped bottle with a crown on it, 2 bottles in the shape of fancy pipes, and one made to look like a small magenta wine bottle. This video is so relaxing and makes me think of her. Thank you for another great ASMR experience.

It was the best - seems like you could slap on a full face of makeup, complete with a line of demarcation, and nobody noticed or said anything. I loved that shorts were longer (jams) because I hated short shorts - as soon as the 90’s hit I was thankful I didn’t have to wear those short/tight styles. Had to listen to tapes or records to hear favorite songs. Talked on the phone for hours to get to know someone or hung out in person - doing things online isn’t the same.

My mom was an Avon lady and I had the Sweet Honesty set in the mid-to-late 90’s. Body cream, powder, and spray. Part of my “evening routine” as the kids these days would say.

You nailed it - bright colored makeup and shoulder pads. Can you do a 60’s with nude lips, behive, and lower lashes like Twiggy? With your round eyes it would look awesome. My favorite scent in jr high was Coty Wild Musk, high school was Calvin Klein Obsession - I think it would give me a headache now days. 1934? Nobody would remember it for sure.

I love this series! But I also kind of died a little when you opened the sealed packages! It does give it more of a real feel though so I guess that makes it ok lol I love and collect “vintage” things as well. I can assume you use is legit because of the yellowing, which is really neat. I’d love to know where you found all your stuff!

I must watched this and it brought back so many memories. I was teen in the 60s and remember these fragrances. I had a Snowman for Xmas and it was on my dresser for the longest time. My Mom loved Occur, and some other Avon colognes too. Great video.

That is the eyeshadow I was wearing in my driver’s license pic when I was 16... in the 80’s. Are those shoulder pads! She must have gone to an estate sale of an AVON rep. Every one I knew had at least 1 of those bottles in there house. I bet my mother still has some.
Love these. Reminds me when my mum used to take me down the road as a kid to see the avon lady, but she let me play with the avon toys and holly hobble stuff she had. 😊👍🏻
My love of this series has sent me down an eBay rabbit hole of vintage Avon products, and crazily thinking, “Oh wow, these are great, I should send them to her.” And then snapping out of it because 1) I don’t know you/have your address, and 2) I’m sure you don’t want your house loaded with even more vintage Avon stuff. That said, I absolutely love this series. Thank you so much. The looks and time periods may change, but the tingles remain.
