As a 4 I agree! I have bird feeders all close to my deck and I sit either outside or inside with the screen door open listening to the birds. I also love the sound of leaves rustling in the wind

9 and my favorite sound is rain at night. The dryer and birdsong are pretty great too.

As a 1, I do love the warmth and smell from freshly printed paper, but I was so stressed watching the papers, thinking one would fall to the ground as it came out of the printer. I love the videos you’d see from a Calm advertisement where they’re running small wooden rakes through sand gardens and making rows of perfect lines….so soothing…

As a 9 I was like, what's the sound for sleep? Lol my hubby literally throws hot laundry on ne from the dryer and I melt into a puddle of delight 😊

HECK YES. 7 here. I was listening to this while doing several other things (surprise, surprise). That sound came on... and I stopped DEAD. HUUUUGE GRIN!! "Take me somewhere!"

I think type 6’s would love positive affirmations/ self care type asmr. Like “you are safe” repeated

8 here. I do listen to ASMR actually. If you want to control the things around you, you must first make sure you're in control of yourself, and that means not stressed out of your mind imho. I love the sound of footsteps in snow or on dried leaves.

When you played all the sounds at the beginning I automatically loved the dryer sound - so soothing. I’m a 9 so I’d say you were spot on lol

As a seven I LIGHT UP at the sound of a seatbelt sign! But also I think a can or cotton opening- chk! Or champagne!! *POP* 🍾 that’s the start of a fun event, meal or party!

I'm 5w4, but I kind of have anxiety like a 6, codependency like a 2, the impatience of an 8, "OCD" like a 1, claustrophobia and boredom like a 7, and some avoidance of conflict like a 9 (sorry 3's, I am not achievement focused at all). I definitely like the bird sounds (couldn't imagine anyone who doesn't). Pages in a book being turned one by one could be a good sound too. When doing all the pages like that, I think for me it has to be the right book with the right kind of paper and it has to go perfectly from front to back, and just the right speed. One sound that gives me that ASMR feeling is the sound of lawnmowers in the distance. I think this is twofold. One, the weather is always nice on days when people are mowing the lawn and I am a stickler for good weather. Too hot sucks; cold and gloomy sucks. So, subconsciously, if I hear lawnmowers, it must be a nice day. Second, no one is going to be mowing the lawn if there's a really big problem happening. So, things must be OK out there if someone is mowing the lawn. And there is for sure one person out there at the moment who is having an OK-to-Awesome day. The thought of other people being happy makes me happy. I don't think about the fact that some people might be begrudgingly mowing the lawn out of a feeling of obligation because I personally enjoy mowing the lawn. I also like vacuuming. I hate loud noises, so I use earplugs. But something I just thought of was that no one can talk to you when you're vacuuming or mowing the lawn, lol! So that's a plus :)

As a 6w5 I found the sound of the books to be spot on. I don't know about the locks, though..... Good thought, but I'd prefer a Sound Bowl

4 💯 I was very curious which nature sound would be used. Bird and rustling leaves are my favorite part of my walks. 🤍

As a 1, I feel slightly mocked by the printer, but I don't even care, because it's totally my favorite. I can smell the warm ink and feel the warm papers, perfectly collated and ready for me to staple. (I also liked the rifling the book pages and the clothes dryer.)

I’m a nine and my first thought was the dryer! Nice work! Also the copy machine sound (wing 1?!) and birds were pretty good too

5w4 here. 1 and 2 were the most irritating sounds for me, followed closely by 6. And the birds and writing was pretty accurate; if it could have been like a park sounds combo (birds, water, wind) while I took photos (constant soft clicks), it'd have been perfect 🥰.

5w4- I definitely prefer nature sounds- the birds are great, crunch of walking on leaves, and my absolute favorite- water- waves of an ocean or a stream, or even rain. But if it's not nature, that book sound is pretty nice- just needs to be slower. 🙂

So right about the 4! :D. I literally started relaxing

Interesting idea. 9w1 here and in general ASMR (and all recorded white noise) drives me crazy. I can handle things like a fan, actual falling rain/birds outside, or the sounds that my essential oil diffuser makes, but otherwise, leave the white noise, rainfall recordings, or looped nature sounds out of it. Sound 3 was the most irritating, followed quickly by 2 and 7. 6 and 8 were also annoying because they are loud. Even the sound for 9 was rather annoying because doing laundry can stress me out. If I had to pick a sound to relax to, it would be classical music.

My enneagram type has been difficult to pin down, and I think it's because I didn't discover it until I was older and had already done some work and experienced some stress! I THINK I'm a 3W4 who has spent a lot of time hanging out in 9 land. ANYWAY, before you started, my first thought was birds, my second, silence. However, the applause speaks to my inner 3 (I am a musician ...) Unfortunately, the sound of the dryer just means I'll have to get up and fold stuff soon, so, not really my thing!

Sometimes I print unnecessary documents at work just to hear the printer...and feel the warm paper 😅😅

Nine here. A cat purring would work better for me. Dryer sounds remind me that energy is being used when the sun and wind could do the job. Control over energy is increasingly causing conflict and conflict is BAD!

You nailed the 4! Spot on :) I literally have 3 bird feeders on my property and looking to get more. I collect bird figures as well :) Also for the 3s.. my husband is a 3 and we have that exact same flavor of Waterloo, which he picked out.. I died laughing when I saw you crush it :)
