Videos like these encourage me to take care of my things as opposed to buy new ones when the old things get wear and tear. Reducing mass consumerism is a great thing to do.
Love these videos 🧡🥰 Can I suggest not putting a red border around the main picture? RU-vid app puts a red line across the bottom of videos if you have watched it. I've skipped many of your videos in my feed thinking I already watched it!
Ferragamo giving a plastic heel block while pretending its stacked leather. I am not happy how the heel is constructed but the video is lovely! Keep up the great work!
@@valeriamariana4512 I dunno, probably trying to cut costs, but still if I am buying a good pair of shoes which should, in theory, last me a lifetime, I'd like a stack leather heel. =3=
So lovely... You can tell the shoes were well loved and worn from use instead of neglect. It's beautiful that they're made like new so they can continue to be loved. Such peaceful, thoughtful work.
Loved this. I just picked up a pair of of Ferragamo bow shoes identical to those and a pair of peep toes, from the shoe repair. He had fixed the heels but the patent leather has dulled some. I’m really excited to restore them. I’ve had both pairs for more than 20 years. Now they won’t look like it.
I have a brand new pair of men's leather Ferragamo oxfords just sitting in my closet that my husband bough just before he passed away. I wonder what they could be worth ( if anything ). When I saw the insole of these pumps....the name came to mind!
@@GarzaGoo i believe this was done on purpose otherwise the shoes would become very slippery. I take my new shoes to the cobbler's to have the soles "scrapped" after a fall i had.
Can you help me? I have a nylon Prada bag, the patent part of the strap of the bag bubbled up. I don’t want to touch it or do something, I might ruin it even more and I’m worried it will peel out. Do you have any suggestion? Thank you! Christie
I would LOVE to see you airbrush the enamel. Patent is so beautiful, but so fussy when it comes to blemishes. What kind of enamel are you using? Great job! One of my favorite videos now. 👍🏼👍🏼
It would be better if the video mentioned brief details like the year item was bought, how long it was used and how long it has been kept useless aside before restoring was done. All this details would give us a clear idea of the effort you put in and the durability of such products.. please do
How to remove stains from coloured patent leather. Ink and colour transfer and just dirt from use. I tried cleaning my patent cream prada and it became dull and scratched
How old are the shoes? What are the heels themselves made from? With the soles taken off they look like molded plastic of some kind, especially since the color is still so dark. The outside of the heel does look convincingly like stacked wood though, at least my I strained eyes, and on my phone sized screen. When you say “wash with water”. Do you mean “rinse with water”? Although you are not holding them under or immersing the shoes in water, you are removing the soap, rinsing it.
Reminds me of the old school way of restoring the body/glass to an automotive. These days all parts are simply replaceable. Years ago, my dad owned an old school Body Shop/Auto glass installation. I watched him do amazing things to restore an old, mistreated/forgotten vehicle to its former glory. These videos are fascinating! Thank you.
😍😍😍😍 observo tu trabajo y me identifico. Creo que en la vida pasada fui zapatero pero no son tan puntilloso como el tuyo... Felicitaciones!!! Espectacular producción!!!
FERRAGAMO obviously top quality shoes, worth restauring. Was wondering what the NUMBERS printed inside the shoes are about? Is it like a unique serial nr to prove the brand’s authenticity? Anyone knows ?
Looks to me like they, at the very least, just needed a good clean....fancy letting designer shoes get dirty like that....would like to have seen them all dyed...
Geez i wonder where do people wearing these pretty shoes go to that their shoes get ruined like this 😂 i mean if i wore a $1000 shoes i don’t wanna walk outside. 🤣🤣 that’s why i can’t afford them shoes lol
it depends on how much the shoe costs. if it's a luxury shoe(>$100), you'd prob wanna restore. if it's less than $100, prob not worth it. for less extensive repairs, it'll be worth it to repair. repairs usually start around $20
If you take care of your shoes and take them to be repaired before they suffer extensive damage... totally worth it, especially if they are confortable. Some repairs are not that expensive and they will increase the life of your shoes. Better to pay to repair confortable good quality shoes instead of buying some cheap ones that won't last long, right?
I have a pair of these same Ferragamo Lilaz pumps that I bought over 20 years ago. I take good care of them and they take good care of me. With a little bit a care, they keep getting better and better and they are so worth the investment!
