Dude, I wish the algorithm on RU-vid was a lot better... RU-vid should have recommended your channel to me a long time ago with how much ASMR and how much financial stuff I watch. I definitely think you should have a lot more subscribers and views than what you do.

Mate, it’s such a no brainer and the best investment you can make if you have a bit of money together. 6 years ago I inherited a bit of cash and was able to buy a small flat, which I rented out. It paid its own mortgage and I actually was able to profit a bit too - it’s now fully paid off and now that I’ve started my career, it’s an unbelievably good stream of passive income, which pays my own rent in a different city I’m temporarily living in. When I come to eventually buy my own home, I’ll be in a fantastic position to do so. Recommending against buying is a symptom of a very very specific lifestyle which is not applicable to 99.9% of people. If you can buy, buy.

the average price was a shock to me. where i live, middle class homes are sold for at LEAST 1 mil. imagine what the rent is for a 1 bedroom apartment! even a studio isn’t affordable. it’s very expensive to live here 😣

This is information that we don’t really think about. I’ve been in retail almost 30 years and we don’t get paid the best. I don’t believe in using credit cards and like to pay everything right then. At almost 50 I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I’ve never bought a house and I do rent. Here in Alabama prices of houses and rent keep going up. I have a two bedroom that I rent for $550 a month and feel like it’s not too bad because I don’t have to worry about anything extra other than my other bills for the month. You always have great information to share. Take care.

interesting video. my bf and i are paying off an apartment in canada. houses are so expensive here now and they keep raising interest. i'm in my early 30s. many people my age are wondering how to buy a house now =( rent inner city in my city is now at like over 1600 CAD for a one bedroom apartment apparently. crazy.

Housing prices seem so much better in Indiana than where I am in Ontario, Canada. Toronto has maybe the worst housing market in North America. For me to afford a nice house I would need to move maybe 6 or 7 hours up north or to another country.

I love you whispering, but you also seem very disconnected on the reality of what it costs to own a home nowadays, I make 6 figures in CA and where I live the average home price is over 500K, I do not live in LA or San Francisco, I live in a fairly small agriculture town. Who has 100K (20%) down payment laying around for a down payment, who can do over 4K a month to own especially if there is an issue/damage at the home that comes out of your pocket, renting costs half to less than half of a mortgage here and if there is any issues it comes out of their pocket not your own, the dream of people owning a home has faded with my generation and younger (I am 30). Owning a home doesn't mean what it used to unfortunately. Also paychecks do not grow as much as you make it seem when you were talking about "housing goes up and so does your paycheck". That sentence right there told me ahhh that is how you know he is disconnected, of course YOUR paycheck goes up with the housing market... you are a realtor... I apologies for the rant, but there is a huge difference in peoples raises compared to a realtor.

I would love a house but here in Texas, rich yankees and Commiefornians keep moving here and outbidding people who have lived here for generations. They are, as usual, ruining everything about this great state

I wish i could buy a home. but fixing my credit will take some time so renting is my only option really
