One of my besties LOVES bonsais and he goes out into the woods and takes cuttings of trees in state parks 😂 and then every so often, he goes and plants bushes or new plants to give back. It’s such a fun vigilante bonsai creation

I had to giggle at the part you mentioned your dad's hobby and his struggle with patience. I think I can relate to him and your giggles 😂I have been knitting for about 10 years and it's also a super slow and sometimes tedious process, and my patience has been tested million times 😂 I usually feel like Penelope from the greek mythology and my partner has so much fun every time I have to restart a piece (It's definetly healthy for me, so no bad feelings)😂
