As someone who actually has color-deficient vision, I'm just wondering how you did your research for this video, because your explanation of color vision deficiency had about as much detail as I give when explaining it to people. I'm really impressed.

Fun fact: It is estimated that up to 8% of boys have some degree of color blindness (also called color vision deficiency), while less than 1% of girls have it. This corresponds to approximately one in 12 boys and one in 200 girls, but why? Color blindness has different causes, but in the majority of cases, the disease is hereditary and is transmitted genetically from the mother on the 23rd chromosome. This is the chromosome that determines the sex of the child. For a boy to have red-green color blindness, his X chromosome must carry the defective gene for color blindness. For girls, the defective gene must be present on both X chromosomes, hence the greater prevalence of red-green color blindness in boys. Note, however, that blue color blindness affects boys as much as girls, because the gene that causes it is carried by a chromosome that is not involved in sex determination.
@@dustedplays7014yes, but don’t worry if it’s difficult for you to see, lighting, contrast, reflections, everything could affect what you could see from a video (even in real life too.) :) if you’re worried, you can look for your local optometrist and do a colour vision test just to make sure :)

I was born with protanopia colorblindness and have been through several examinations like this when I was younger. this is an excellent explanation and thorough test

Yep, same here. ”Shapes? There are no shapes!” I was surprised I could see the first shapes, until she told us it was for the blue/yellow deficiency. :) I am red/green colorblind.
I don’t know how to explain but it relaxes when asmr roleplays and videos are very detailed and everything makes sense. Gibi videos relax me a lot cause the script is always complete and enjoyable !
Even if I didn't read the description before watching the video I would've been able to tell you did a lot of research on this topic after doing so, cause it was so well done, all the informations and examples at the beginning and end were super informative and interesting, and the tests were all very professionally done, I enjoyed this a lot Gibi, so thank you for all the effort you always put into these Medical Roleplays in order to make them more realistic 😊. I'm definitely gonna check out the channels you linked in the description now, cause this got me curious, and I wanna know more 😆.

As a person with this type of color blindness, mostly in my right eye, it was pretty fun to see you pointing out triangles and circles that- are there (I think 😆) while I couldn’t see them
To all my colorblind friends out there: Get yourself some Enchroma lenses. They're seriously amazing, and some vision plans even cover them. I was dumbfounded the first time I wore them

My first check-up came after coloring sun orange and using dark red instead of brown for dirt. Yeah color deficiency pretty quickly found out. It's fun talking to people and explaining I really, truly do not see the same color as them.
I already know I'm color deficient but only seeing a single circle in the top left of every single color dot test and nothing else during the screening portion was hilarious to me. I legit didn't see a single other shape in that whole test. i even thought the circle and x on one of the starter demonstration pages was a fish lmao.

Vision test ASMR isn't usually my jam, but I really enjoyed this one! Lots of amazing detail and you kept it way more interesting than just, "read these letters." Great video!

yep, there were colors. The different dots were different colors which stuck out as shapes. I watched this video through my camera afterwards in he black/white filter and was just as shocked!
We are all awesome in our own way. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I volunteered for the dentist program at my college once and the intro reminded me of it since I had to sign a bunch of papers saying that I consent since the student conducting the test was still in training and the teacher was there showing her, it wasn’t bad. Good job Gibi!
I went to join the military at 18 and took probably over 50 test that day then when they started showing me the dots I was confused. I thought they were trying to see if I would lie lol. I had no idea I was colorblind I got 0-14 correct and couldn’t get the job I wanted but found something else! Thx for making a video to show other people who may not know like I once was.
As someone who is colorblind this video was pretty funny. You're pointing at and tracing nothing for me lmao. For all I know this was an April Fool's joke and their weren't actually any colors in the video.

I already know I'm a strong protan (I believe it's spelled that way), I have a red - green deficiency so I struggle differenting between greens, reds, browns, aswell as blues, pinks and purples, but will still watch this anyway lol
As someonewith a similardeficiency, do you also find that people have a hard time understanding when you try to explain it to them? I feel like every time I get to know someone, I eventually have to Google one of the dot tests to show them because they can't comprehend how i can mix up reds and greens
@@chrissedgwick8854 yes, so many people just don't understand that I can't exactly see what they see, so the first thing they do to try and ubderstand is pick up the nearest pen and say "what colour is this" It can get quite tiring and annoying tbh

Hii Gibi First I just wanted to say I love your videos, they really help me distress after school and work. Second, today is (was for me since I live in the UK) transgender day of visibility and it would mean a lot to me, and the trans community, if you could maybe make a video on theme. I know it's a lot to ask and I don't expect you to even read this, but I thought it was worth a shot. Since coming out I feel like the world is against me, and it would mean a heck of a lot to know you support us as a community (especially for me since I think you're awesome
I have tritanomaly. Basically, it's hard to tell the difference between colors like blue and green, but it's not impossible. It doesn't really affect my daily life, but more vibrant colors are easier to tell the difference between. You just wear these really cool glasses that look like star wars things.
