The black thing you thought was a little hiding spot is a trim panel cover for the neutral release for the transmission in case the truck loses all power or key communication so it can still be put in neutral and moved. Sincerely a guy that owns a shop and a tow company.

4:00, its a neutral pull. if the battery on the truck ever dies/something happens where you need a tow, you pull the rope under the cover to put the truck into neutral so it can roll.

yup dodge charger's have that exact neutral lever thingy which is why they so easy to steal😂 just break the window hop in & pull the neutral switch & u jus got urself a hellcat😂
