@europa_the_last_battleYeah, it does. The fact most of it is human, doesn’t take away the fact it looks good. Just takes away how appetizing it is, and if I’d eat it.
It’s fascinating to know that they got a group of professional chefs to come in and talk about how they would go about preparing meals made from human flesh
@@Fridelain Janice Poon was the food stylist on board but she and Bryan Fuller also spoke to Jose Andres about the what Hannibal would cook, how he would cook it and how he would plate it. So it was basically just Poon, Fuller and Andres writing emails to each other on how to cook people lmao
The genius of that series is that it's presented to you as human flesh in many cases, but the presentation is so immaculate, you find yourself salivating at human flesh, and you have to continually remind yourself that it isn't. Then you get to the point where you really don't mind if it's human or not. It just looks delicious.
Might be a "you" thing dawg. I just saw human meat and was grossed out by it. Even the fish I came to saw as "human-adjacent," like if you touch other food after working with raw meat it becomes contaminated. I guess my brain works correctly and there's something wrong with yours.... and everyone else's 😂
I love it how everything is done to its perfection, Mads really made me believe that i was watching an actual psychopath, cooking people... Hannibal was really one of the most spectacular characters to ever exist.
I love how Hannibal wasn't portrayed as a stereotypical Hollywood cannibal that randomly eats raw meat straight from people's bodies, he's actually talented and cunning.
I don’t think Cannibalism is disgusting in the first place , I’m genuinely curious as to why people find it ‘disgusting’ when they eat other species of animals without any regrets
@@DangerLevel10 chefs wear aprons and specific attires. White as they may, they are far easier to wash and maintain than, say, silk or high end tailored shirts and suits. No one would mind if you got greese on your aprons, but it's plain mad putting stains on shirts that costs no less than four digits.
@@J0NW31R I mean if he wants to live on the edge and risk soiling his shirt with gore and fish guts that's his choice, really. Goes to show that Hannibal truly is an unparalleled psychopath with an equal amount of fearlessness.
Nobody can withstand the instinctual act of nervous sweating when Gordon Ramsay is in the room. Even cannibals can recognise the threat of an apex predator.
@@thejordyoshi Not Hannibal though. Gotta remember that he's a sociopath, normal emotions like fear or guilt don't apply to him. He'd be calm, cold and calculative 100% of the time, I imagine. Besides, Hannibal kills and cooks whoever pisses him off. It's Ramsay who should be worrying about himself.
Việt Long Ahh but you see, Doctor Lecter still values his continued existence, something that is constantly under threat when a powerful deity such as Chef Ramsay is present.
"What kind of girl do you like?" "Medium rare" Edit: holy wow the likes! Yeah, this is a kitchen nightmare reference haha. That old bitch at the burger restaurant lol.
This is genius. The presentation and aesthetic of the cooking was done very proffesionaly but they did it in very low saturation, which is common in horror, giving a constant reminder that these are human meat
@@derigel9783 oh well. But think about how depressing it is for the mother. Her son was just a child but his mother lost her son to a cannibal. Isn’t it so depressing?
I like the Japanese animation in many of the movies the dishes are prepared and it is seen how they are cooked as well as the details of the cut, the mix and the presentation is something that is not seen much in western cinema but this type of detail in the series or movies I like a lot. They should appear in more western movies or series.
Japanese people are patient and do not get angry easily, but it is easy to try. Try wasting food by playing around or intentionally making it taste bad and throwing it away. The Japanese are very particular about their food.
These scenes are a great representation of how good cinematrography, sound design and editing can affect a scene. Because in context, these are really fancy dishes. But when he's making it, it looks gross and unsettling. The dull colours, the dark atmosphere, the squishy, liquidy sounds of the meat, how the water looks almost gelatinous. It all adds to the unsettling feeling. I have never seen the show but just from these scenes, i can tell how good the production is. Props to the people involved!
well if you're ok with gore and blood i would definitely recommend the show, beside the cinematography the writing is also genius every aspect of it is amazing
