Beautiful colours Monsieur and the fireplace sounds were just gorgeous :) Please do a video with fire crackling in the background accompanied by your exquisite voice!
I'm just curious but are you a historian? It seems your historical knowledge is extremely extensive and may I say incredibly detailed, if not you must put a hell of a lot of research for your videos and for that I salute you sir.
French Whisperer is so pleasant and tactful. Aside from the amazing content he provides, it's his microphone set up. So many other ASMR content creators don't take in to account the "wetness" of their mouth. I have a small case of misophonia, so unnecessary, unconscious noises people make will drive me INSANE. Mr. Whisper is so clean, without odd guttural noises, lip smacking between words, or any of that.
Glad you say that, because I spend an insane amount of time manually cleaning up audio tracks from that kind of sounds (they don't happen or go unnoticed when you speak normally, but when you speak softly they are unavoidable - and I also dislike when there are too many of them in ASMR videos).
It is a perfect combination of content and form. The tone of the voice, the choice of items according to the theme, the well-constructed narrative associated with interesting and historical facts make this channel unique.
Yeah, pure blue (as opposed to violet or indigo) is a pretty rare color in biology because cyanins are all poisonous. Most blue colors rely on diffraction of ambient light.
I’m so glad you put out these videos. Question: does it ever bother you that most people fall asleep 20 minutes in and don’t get to hear 80% of the content that you put so much time into? I bet if you added random gibberish for the last 30 minutes no one would notice lol
I play it the next night starting from the last thing I remember, and repeat that until i get through it. I first started doing that with Dan Jones' and Michael Sealey's hypnosis videos. Or sometimes I'll listen to it while I'm cleaning dishes or cooking, when i won't fall asleep.
Your videos just get better and better! A variety of obscure topics covered in a factual, interesting manner. A beautiful backdrop with slow deliberate movements which you can choose to watch but are not necessary to follow the audio. And ohhh that audio... easily one of the most relaxing voices on RU-vid!!
I used to have a few relaxation and meditation cassettes, back in the dark ages. Some players were noisy when (automagically) changing sides and I am a light sleeper. Really annoying, as are sudden loud noises or suddenly talking louder on ASMR vids. People need to control their voices/audio. But no worries about that here!
They did exist on CDs in the 80s and 90s, they were just rare and you had to depend on whatever your record store stocked. Reel-to-reel tape goes back to the 1950s, and home recorders had several speeds, so a 1-hour tape could go three times as long at a slow speed. The tradeoff was sound quality. Prerecorded tapes were done at the fast speed of course, or at least the second-fastest speed. Incidentally, the size and speed of a phonograph record was designed to fit Beethoven's 9th Symphony. And tapes and CDs kept that album length more or less, just lengthening it by 10-15 minutes.
Perfect timing! I was just trying to decide which video of yours to listen to and you made it very easy! Thank you for all the effort and time you put into your videos. I learn something new from each one. Though, it may take a few attempts as I can never stay awake long enough to hear it all the first time.
Out of all the ASMR content creators on RU-vid, you are by far my favorite. I do hope to see much more of your amazing content in the future! Thank you so much for helping combat my depression and anxiety, you are fantastic.
So grateful for this channel. Deeply soothing audio and visual, well thought out table set ups, and fascinating subjects. This is truly the best of the best in asmr.
I see "Girl with a Pearl Earring" and I click. Lovely video as always and I'm a huge art history fan among other things. You are doing the work of the ASMR God's my friend.
Your asmr is some of the best on RU-vid. It’s just always so relaxing and yet intriguing at the same time. Love your work and thank you for making me sleepy :)
I just got in bed, opened my phone & here you are, my favorite person & voice to go to sleep to. A recent comment I made referred to your perfect timing. And you've done it again. Goodnight, Mr French Whisperer & many, many thanks to you!! 💜😴
This is utter perfection. My body is so torn between the interesting content, professional props, delicate hand movements and your soothing, velvety voice! It is so wonderfully frustrating! This is so, meticulously researched and polished that I can't believe I'm not watching this on the Discovery or History channel. Your art is very appreciated!
Hello! I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I’ve found them to be so helpful and yet educational. I love to learn new things and it’s great to relax or fall asleep while doing so. I have set up a donation through PayPal. You are the first RU-vidr I have ever set up a donation for. What you contribute, in my opinion, is so good that I feel I MUST help support this channel with more than likes and views. Thank you so much for what you do. You are helping people more than you will ever know. I hope contributing to the support of this channel will keep it going for a long time. Looking forward to another great video. Keep up the excellent work. You are awesome! 😀❤️
I'm feeling really sick and my nausea has decided that your ASMR is the only stuff that's not going to make us...you know. While we're stuck in bed. Thank you for having such good variety I don't get bored even though I can't go to sleep all the time. 🌺
A new video from you! Merci, merci! Interesting, educational AND relaxing. I woke up early and just finished it, as it put me to serene sleep last night. I love art and nature, so right up my alley.
The restless artist in me is thanking you sincerely for this video. I love your soothing voice and I appreciate all the work you put into you videos. Bravo!
I am always blown away by your videos. I listen to them falling asleep so I miss the visuals but every now and then I'll see a little bit and my god the amount of effort and attention to detail is insane. You are a true artist and dedicated to your craft. Thank you for lulling me to sleep whilst I learn something interesting!
I am a new fan. So glad I found you. Being educated in such a relaxing way is fantastic. I assume a lot of research and effort goes into these videos. So I thank you lovely smart french man.
There's actually an interesting theory that humans may not have been able to perceive blue until the last few thousand years. I have no idea if it's true but the thought is interesting. Glad to see you're back though Monsiour. Your content is the gold standard of ASMR in my opinion.
As always my dear French Whisperer your videos are enchanting. I'm completely enamoured with your art pieces. I adore the Vermeer - thank you for so much beauty.
I would say that there is still some connection between blue and the working classes even in the modern day as exemplified by the term "blue collar." Perhaps not prevalent as it was historically, but still present in modern vernacular and some attitudes.
Hello, Mr. French Whisperer, sir! Im such a huge fan of your work, its flawless and so well put together! Its art, really. Your voice by its own is heavenly, but one of my all time favorites is rembrandts! The music was such a special touch! It would be lovely if there were other videos with background sounds!!! Anyways, thank you for the great work!
Thanks! Music in videos is very polarizing and many people dislike it, which is why I generally don't add music to the entire video. And there is also the issue of copyrights: if I use copyrighted music, the monetization benefits the rights owners and they can do whatever they want with the video, including adding loud video ads every 5 minutes (it happened to me on an old video about Bach). I'll have another look at the RU-vid library of free music though, and see if I can find something for my next art video, which should be about Impressionism.
Great idea of opening this channel, combining super interesting stuff about history and mythology with a very pleasant way of speaking and explaining. There is one thing though. Hearing priceless information related to history, the point would be to not fall asleep.😁😅
I saw an amazing documentary (part art history, part anthropology) on the history of the hue blue. Blue was cherished and revered for its rarity in painting. The materials to mix and make blue were incredibly rare and expensive. The amount of influence one color can have on a species is WILD. Blue, like the flame has a sort of visceral part in the human imagination.
I have extraordinarily intense misophonia, your videos are so friendly to that ❤ I appreciate all your work so genuinely! Your accent also reminds me of Antonio Banderas. Super charming.
That's really interesting. I've carrying out a study which, amounts other things, includes "your favourite colour". Blue was was one of the multiple choice options. Although many candidates would have chosen another colour, limited top those presented in the multiple choice option, they almost (to a 90% option) chose Blue. I suspect that the fact that I live in Spain, a country known for it's blue skies and a people who enjoy the outdoors socialization that that brings, is not irrelevant.
I love your material. The one critique would be the ambient parts you've put into a few videos. I usually fall asleep well before the end of the talking section so the extra hour of sound is excessive particularly since it's voice not sound that works best for me. It's just excess data usage. That said you are my favorite asmr artist. I actually get to learn something instead of just answer questions while i get my hair cut 😉
Thanks. I know not everyone likes these ambient sounds but they are quite popular overall and I get more requests to add more than complaints. What you can do if you are on the YT app is set a timer to end the video when the story is finished (it is always indicated in the timestamps in the pinned comment). Alternatively, the downloadable audio tracks I put on Patreon are just the voice without sound effects.
Hello I really enjoy your video on colors are you a professor I speak Spanish and English how did you get the accents so good in Spanish and French Saludos from Chicago 🇺🇸
