I find it really special how much is still shared between Scandinavian languages like Norwegian and Swedish. A lot of phrases and words being almost verbatim apart from how they're spelt.

Guess what… the norwegian AE is just taken from the roman latin AE and is literally just a german Ä, same with the ø just an ö and take a guess where the ü is hidden 😂 - and, what a surprise, same alphabet… 😂

Oh wow, two things that I love: the Asmr and Norway ❤️❤️❤️. I'm italian, but I'm in love with Norway since I was 5. "Ha det"" is more like you're saying "have a good one", and på badet is likely just a cute way to rhyme with it even if it doesn't make sense. Badet can be in your bathtub, or a swimming hall/bathhouse etc.

wow on russian we also say “кот в мешке” which directly translates as the cat in the bag and the meaning is the same as in norwegian

"Ha det bra" is actually like saying "have a good one" or literal translation "have it good". The actual phrase for goodbye is "hej då", or oldtimey "adjö/adjø" (from french adéu) that we Swedes don't use anymore but the Norwegians might(?). But I think they still use "hej" or "hallå" (greeting), and "hej då" (goodbye) that can be translated to "bye then" Edit: Paused right before she said it to type this 😅

Are there different accents in Norway depending on the region? My family lived close to Alesund for a while and I did a Norwegian course then, but I remember some slightly different pronunciations. Love the language! 😍

English, Frisian, Dutch, German, Icelandic, Faraoeic, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Gothic are all germanic languages and therefor as a german you literally have no problem understanding them. Btw. that’s also the reason why you don’t have to put much effort in speaking english… Just buy yourself a Norwegian German Dictionary and you see what I mean…
