That was my favorite part, immediately followed by, "cut the newly cut butternut..." so good, you have to say it twice. Although I know I'm going to be saying that in my head all day - my new mantra.

One Quick Tip: For something like a smooth soup, don’t bother with all the annoying peeling and cubing. Just split the squash in half, clean out the seeds, then bake it, or steam it, or steam-bake it. Once the flesh is soft and has cooled a bit, you can just scoop it right off the rind with a spoon. Dramatically reduces the overhead/hassle, and I think roasting really concentrated and accentuates the squash flavors.
Loved the video, can this be a reccuring thing? A mini series where you make every soup in the book? Would love that personally, then I can watch it to sleep and when I want to make dinner!
You need to do more cooking videos! Something about it is so comforting like sitting at the counter watching your grandma cook before everyone shows up for the gathering.
This is slightly irrelevant but in school we had to make macaroni and something in pairs, this was part of a lesson. ...When my friend and I were done our macaroni were slightly grey from all the pepper.. **Sigh**, man that was some tasty macaroni. I actually enjoyed it 😅

Cooking asmr is my absolute favorite and it is so underrepresented. Not only are the sounds amazing but you get the added comfort of having someone make you food. It's just very comforting and homey and so relaxing
I literally catch myself saying, "No spoons.. WHAT?" constantly because of this video. The first time I watched it I was trying to sleep and burst out laughing. 🤣
There are 2 things in this world that I can rely on to relax me, ASMR and cooking. It warms my heart to have them brought together like this. If you ever consider doing more cooking videos I'd be very much in favour!
luckybear20 I’m literally in culinary school and cilantro is the bane of my existence. It’s a pain to desprig and cut, and it doesn’t even add much flavor.

You know what makes her so amazing? She has been productive her whole life while most people, like me, waste their youth on video games or other timesinks.. You too can become amazing. It just takes time and dedication. Thank you Erin, for inspiring me to do better and lead a more fulfilling life.

Other ASMRtists are starting to copy your style. This makes me a little angry sometimes, but I guess it can't be helped. I think you are the best, and no one can replicate the warmth and whimsy of your videos.

phantomwaltz no i really dont? because like, people in the asmr community are always using ideas from each other and putting their own spin on things. maybe it is "copying" but its not stealing. unless they are actually making the exact same kind of videos with the same triggers and characters or whatever. just trying to understand.

Serious business: Cooks Illustrated is the best source for good recipes. They take a bunch of different approaches to any recipe and figure out what works, what doesn't, and they explain why. I can't cook, but I can follow a recipe and they have the best. Therefore I am de facto a good cook. Also, any time anyone says put X amount of garlic, multiply it by 10.
Please oh please do more cooking videos! (Honestly a baking homemade bread one would be very much appreciated.) Not only am I going to immediately steal this recipe for myself, I now feel educated AND relaxed. You're an absolute treasure
