ireally enjoyed watching you pack but the idea of travelling with all that luggage blows my mind. i travelled for six months last year, incorporating snow and heat, with less than half that luggage. have a lovely trip!
i love the way you pack Emma, and the packing cubes and bags are fantastic - they keep everything so organised and neat (because travelling can get a bit chaotic 😅). the companies that make those items aren’t silly - they make them from lightweight fabrics and notions so that there is barely any additional (minimal) weight added to your packed items. awesome! hope you have a wonderful cruise 😊
I loved the video and your dedication to organisation. I am the same and it brings a lot of peace of mind. It also helps to find and use everything that you packed with ease. Which means more time for fun at your destination! I also have the same fear of losing things at the airport. A place for everything and everything in its place makes it simple to see where your items are at any given time. As for the presumed wastefulness of packing cubes; I have mine for years and it keeps your items from getting damaged or lost during travel or at the destination. I often keep my items in the cubes. So losing items and having to replace them or damaging clothes I believe to be more wasteful then the cubes itself. Although I love your calming voice on a Sunday morning, this kind of ASMR style video was absolutely satisfying to watch and listen to. Who doesn't love the sound of suitcase zippers?! Instant holidy feels. Have a great trip and enjoy your perfectly packed items ❤
I love a packing vlog and have to say this is by far the most aesthetically pleasing and satisfying one I’ve ever seen. I love how you pack everything. I love using separate bags for everything too, this has given me some great tips! 😊 Have a. Great trip x
I always use packing cubes for underwear, socks, nightwear etc. In fact anything that goes into a drawer in my cruise cabin or hotel. Sometimes drawers have not been vacuumed, so placing the cubes directly into the drawers prevent any dust etc getting on my stuff. Nice video Emma x
As someone who loves travelling, bags and luggage accessories and asmr this was my idea of heaven. I'm off to Greece in September and this will be a go to for my packing.
LOVED this video Emma. As an ASMR junkie, don’t worry about focusing too much on making sure each step has a loud sound, even a faint sound of a zip being opened gently is more triggering from an ASMR perspective than quick/ rushed movements that are louder. Would love to see more of this though!
I remember requesting a packing video from you some months ago and now that it's there - wow! - this is the best packing video I have ever seen! So many fantastic and useful tips! I have been weighing up the whole packing cube thing for ages now, but this video has finally converted me - and I love the way you have organised all the little bits and pieces into suitable cases as well. Loved the stripey toiletries case! I used to have one that was so useful but got rid of it when my daughter bought me an expensive designer wash bag. It's beautiful but I'm always rummaging through it trying to find things! In addition, I never thought to put an organiser into my Le Pilage bag - and never thought of steaming it too to get rid of the creases! Why not? Thank you so much for so many tips. I hope you are having a fantastic holiday - have been watching your Instagram reels. As ever love to you, Simon and the Bs - they must all be missing you. Xxx
So satisfying to watch. I laughed when I saw the pouch with the foldable hanger. I also kreep my foldable hangers in the exact same pouch. I have not lined them up like you did, so I will on my next trip 😂 Thank you. Would love a travel accessoire video from you❤
Wow, pure efficiency!!...there is no doubt that the English and Hispanics are very different and some of those big differences are; planning, organization and efficiency. I would never travel with so much stuff, (and I confess that my clothes always travel and remain wrinkled)...but I still enjoy the surprises and unforeseen events of the moment and I go on a trip with my mind and heart open to a world of possibilities. and setbacks without expecting everything to be perfect...I still have fun and I enjoy it a lot!!!...in short, I will try to improve my way of packing...thanks for another nice video and have a great trip!!
This is a work trip so it's slightly different and I definitely need to be more organised in order to get the content I want to create done. However, Simon and I have done many a road trip adventure across Canada and the USA, where we live out of a suitcase, making no plans at all and see where the road takes us, which I absolutely love. You can't beat a good adventure ❤️
@@EmmaHill First of all, thank you very much for taking the time to respond to me Emma...you are definitely right, a business trip is very different from a pleasure trip and my trips, although not many, have always been for pleasure, thank God! Because the truth is I'm not organized at all, that's why I thank you for your videos because it's never too late to learn to be more efficient in all areas of our life. Thank you again and have a nice and successful trip. 😉
I LOVED watching this. I really miss this type of content that’s in real time. The organisation is just right up my street. Thanks for sharing. I hope you have a lovely holiday ❤
Finally! Someone who packs like me 😂! I have a pouch/packing cube for everything. Keeps me organised and calm…. Also I figure if I get searched at the airport it’s easier to repack!
Cross packing when you have multiple checked luggage is a must (if you can). When we went to Lapland the first time, there were terrible issues with luggage getting lost, so I cross packed checked luggage and put a change of clothes for everyone in 2 small hand carries… for 2 adults and 2 young children. Lots of organising required to make sure everyone’s everything was cross packed but once that was done, I didn’t have to worry about it. Luckily nothing was lost and on the way home things were just chucked in 😂😅
Brilliant video. Probably the best packing one I’ve ever watched to be honest. I’ve added a few items to my Amazon basket after watching it 🥰. Hope you both have a fab holiday.x
Hi Emma. You have given us a real lesson in today’s video about the art of packing- so beautifully organised! It’s so much easier to pack for a summer sunshine holiday rather than the other way round. Whenever I come over to England, it’s really difficult deciding what to take as the weather is so unpredictable . Fortunately, I stay with family and friends who are always willing to lend me a sweatshirt or cardigan if needed and there’s always a local charity shop where you can pick up fab bargains and even return them in good condition when it’s time to leave! Have a wonderful holiday!💖🌸
so true. Try packing for Australia when we went in June one year. We were packing for spring/summerish weather in Sydney, chillier/fallish weather in Adelaide, and down right tropical/summer in Queensland! That was super hard to pack for. :)
I think being organised whilst packing leads to a stress free holiday as you have thought carefully about all that you need. It's entirely personal how much we take and what we need depending on our priorities, mine is to always pack very lightly clothes and toiletries wise, as i like to leave room for notebook, sketchbook, pens, pencils, wool, scissors, needles, kobo.... my priority is walking in nature when i'm away and being creative, writing, drawing, knitting, reading, exploring on foot as much as possible and i prepare the week before by laying out outfits and putting them to one side, but i also have my son to pack for and our 2 dogs and their toys, beds, towels, dishes, food 😂 see why i have to pack lightly? But we always travel UK so our car holds it all ( just about 😅)
I’m very organised but this is too much even for me!! I’ve used packing cubes but didn’t like them. I also like to split my shoes when packing I don’t keep them in pairs I think they take up more room and I use freezer bags! so one shoe per bag and I can then easily slide them down the side of my luggage. Also bags are reused too. I plan my outfits so that way I’m not overpacking. But hey ho were all different 😂
Have a great trip 😁✈️💺🌍 maybe I've been watching your channel for too long but I pack pretty much the same 😅 I just use dust bags instead of packing cubes. We had quite a unique suitcase for a recent trip around Asia and it made it super easy to locate on the carousel.
I really enjoyed watching. Incredibly organized. I have a trip next week and will be implementing some of these great tips! Thank you. I did miss hearing your voice btw!
I’ve never travelled with two suitcases so all I can see is a a lot of free gaps in suitcases and packing cubes 😅 no wonder all my clothing is crinkled when I am in my destination 😅 great packing tips anyway ❤
Hope your pristine suitcases make it through okay, do you get them wrapped? I bought myself a nice khaki case this year and it came out scuffed and so dirty..so annoying!! I always use packing cubes as I like to be organised too! I fold my clothes though as I find rolling makes creases..enjoy your trip
I pack in a similar way , a place for everything and you gave me some good ideas to add to my packing , it all goes to make me feel less stressed , as packing can get a little overwhelming , that said , when packing to come home , I chuck everything everywhere and in any bag !!! 😂 , have a wonderful holiday 🎉
Thank you Emma for your packing video! Longchamp totes are the best, but did not know about the bag insert! Was wondering why it is always hard to locate items in my bag!🤔 So helpful! Have a wonderful trip! ❤
Good morning Emma, gosh that’s what I call packing. Never seen such organization ever. It made me realize I must get some packing cubes NOW. Wow congratulations to yet another inspirational output. Have a great time on the cruise. Looking forward to your buffet breakfast report. Yummy 😋 Relax and let it all flow by 🛳⚓️💦🌊
I thought, no way, no one packs better than me or is more organized. Then you pull out the foldable hangers and the magnetic hooks. Genius!! Although, at one of our Kauai hotels last month I saw someone request more hangers. I thought that was a baller move and something I never thought of. It was a 5 star hotel though so probably not an option on cruises or other hotels but I might start asking for that. I really enjoy just hanging up everything in the hotel. I think I will purchase those hangers for our condo we are renting in April, I know for a fact you won't get a request filled of extra hangers at a condo type situation or Air BnB. Thanks Emma.
Such a wonderful video and very relaxing to watch! ❤ I really envy your organization skills. I find packing for holidays to be very, very stressful. Especially when packing for the whole family with 3 young children. You have inspired me to try out these packing cubes. Thanks a lot and enjoy your holiday! 😘
Ps: Emma, I love the magnetic hooks never mind the folding hangers….this is going to be a new experience for me going travelling. After all is packed, don’t forget the kitchen sink 🤣
“Embarkation outfit” - this is a new one on me. Sounds fancy! What is it? Safe travels yourself, lovely video, it’s cute that you steam your Longchamps. Looking forward to the cruise videos x
😆 It's just my outfit for the day we board the ship. We flew to Greece the night before departure so wanted my outfit for that day to hand instead of having to search through suitcases 😆
Love this 🤩🫶🏻 Packing cubes are the best, I also like to use them. Now I am going to rewatch the video, as it is soooo aesthetically pleasing and I crave more packing ASMR 🙃
I'm so glad I'm not the only one one with an arsenal of packing cubes, pouches, bags, containers, luggage straps, bag scales, what have you (we even have the same beige set, lol). 😅 However I wasn't able to relax into the ASMR because all I could think of was the state of your white suitcases on the conveyor belt at baggage claim 😬 I hope you had them wrapped or got those protector bags for them...
I am amazed at your dedication to organising, very impressive, I have considered packing cubes but they are extra effort and all the unzipping when you arrive seems quite busy, I might give it a go, though.
The Next level on packing 🙌👏👏👏👏.!!!!!! Impressive.!!!!!!!!! The Tricky about hanging linen on the bathroom for Steam is amazing. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. Learning a lot from you. Like i Said Before: Next level on packing 🙌
I bought it - from M&S - after seeing it on a previous video. All I can say is it's clear Emma hasn't use it as the minute you put anything in it the lining pulls the edges over! I used it on our last holiday in May/June - also a cruise - as my everyday bag and the edges are so 'rolled' now. :(
Unfortunately Simon hasn't come with me, it is me and a friend. He stayed at home to look after the pups as we still haven't found a new house sitter since moving 😞
Hi Emma. Thank you for this video - I hope you have a lovely trip. I wondered where your shoe storage is from (the plastic boxes that close)? Thanks. X
