I think you’re supposed to feel pressured because they want to sell you something. I guess this feels more make believe or like a friend is showing me her favorite fragrances and there is no real pressure to help someone get their commission or to make a sale.
It's different when you already know you WANT to buy something from the start and YOU approach them because you need help determining which one you should get. When they know you are already determined to make a purchase, they feel less inclined to "convince" you and are more interested in genuinely exploring your options with you. That's when the personal shopper experience really shines!
You're one of the only Asmrtists that can make a sponsored product commercial the best thing ever! That little head shake test was soooo relatable lol.
@@eilis5341 Not many! Lol Ms Joanne from "Relax A While" is seamless in her delivery. Maria from "Gentle Whispering'' does a really good job. But I have to say Erin here is my favorite when it comes to doing ads. Idk, it's like its a part of the asmr experience, like I Don't wanna skip it lol.
I have hyposmia, so I don't really smell things unless they are like crazy strong (citrus, vanilla, and mint are my favorites because I can usually smell them). Hearing someone talk about scents is so intriguing to me because I cant even fathom what that's like. To me, it's like trying to imagine a new color. But Erin's videos are so relaxing I don't even mind.
Woah. The way you describe that is like if I tried smelling from my elbow. My nose may catch it distantly if it’s strong enough, but overall my elbow doesn’t get a tiny whiff. That’s so interesting, thanks for sharing your experience.

This video reminds me so much of the few months I worked security at a Macy's . I was mainly posted near the men's fragrance counter and Erin does such a perfect job of portraying how the workers there acted. This video brings me back to the days of trying to prevent people from smuggling perfume out of the store in their pants.
I like that most of her videos are not so bright...a lot of asmr videos have such strong lighting in their videos so the non harsh lighting is grealy appreciated :)

That bit about having a new scent for different eras of your life is so spot on. I’m in need of new one but can’t find anything that fits yet. Sandalwood/tobacco/vanilla on men has been ruined for me though. Too many men I’ve dated have work some variation and even though I LOVE it, I can’t smell it without thinking about them 🥴
Ooof I feel you. One of my favorite scents on myself is vanilla (used to have vanilla everything: bodywash, lotion, perfume...) but not one but THREE of my exes were practically obsessed with it and now I can't wear it anymore 😧 Hope you find a new scent that works for you soon! P.S. if you are looking for something perhaps a tad more unique, Erin's 20's perfume video is all invented, BUT a kind viewer with a hobby for scents matched every single one of them with real fragrances. It's the most liked comment so you'll find it easily. Perhaps stepping out of the usual would help?

@@teatime9649 Seems like the Babblebrook ones are more spaced because in terms of makeup, costuming, scripting, backgrounds and so on, both the difficulty and the cost are off the charts, and they're also not sponsored. So it's understandable she needs to make them less often (though I'm still on the edge of my seat to meet Adelia!) But you are absolutely right, her 20's videos are dazzling, that's exactly the word! They're my favorite series along with Valley Girl. (Babblebrook is its own separate category at this point 😅)

I’m literally only 4 minutes in. I have never really gotten tingles since the first time I tried asmr, but right now I’m SHAKING. For some reason, iv’e always loved when people did hand gestures, and loved it when people talked in a fancy way or described things. This video is EXACTLY WHAT IV’E BEEN LOOKING FOR. I've been obsessed with perfume lately so this was a treat. I've even started learning to make my own so it was cool to hear you talk about the different notes and accords. Although, I only use natural perfume, as these synthetics are not the healthiest option, and too overpowering for me. And I think the most wonderful thing about perfume is that it connects us to nature and to memories, and I feel that deeply with natural indie perfume. A natural indie perfume RP would be soooo cool but kinda niche I'm sure lol
