You certainly are NOT a "terrible person!" You bring far too much joy into our lives to be "terrible." I'm a librarian, and believe me - there are behaviors among our numbers which do not do honor to the profession; your being able to bring laughter and relaxation to it is a wonderful gift. :)
This brought back an instant memory. I was in the third grade, a classmate by the name of Dominic had this exact trapper keeper. The inside flaps with the blue circles, those are textured so when you scratch them they made a sound that to me as a child, induced asmr. I used to bug him to let scratch the inside just to hear the noise it made🤣😂😂😂😂
I totally understand you! I was in a music appreciation class, and there was a guy who sat behind me, chewing slowly on his pen cap. I would buy the kind of pen he used, in case he wouldn't have a pen to chew on. I needed to make sure he always had a pen to chew on behind me.
I wish pen pals were a thing. I had a couple growing up, even though I was born in 92. One of them was my cousin who lived across the country that I never met who was my age. I think I'm going to encourage my daughter to write to her out of state cousins (she was just born and she has twin cousins that are her age in the next state over) It's good practice for penmanship, spelling and communication skills!
Super late reply to this but I found a bunch of pen pals on Instagram a few years ago! I have like 10 of them :) it’s a lot of fun. We exchange letters and packages!
Oh my goodness! I wanted that Trapper Keeper SO BAD! I totally remember it! I can picture it in my mind right now! My mom and I went to Kmart to get it, and they were all sold out. I was SO SAD! :(
What a good thrift store find! This Trapper Keeper is almost just like the one I had as a kid (I'm a 90's kid). Same color on the binding, but it had a picture of 2 rabbits. I wanted to buy mine on eBay too!
This may sound weird, but I think it might be an interesting video to do an ebay listing of us, the viewer! Like do a role play and give a description and details and take some pictures of the viewer to be sold on ebay.

Yep. Trapper Keepers were popular back in my Junior High/High school days......I graduated in 1983! I really enjoyed getting my notebook each new school year and setting it up,with the paper, pencil bags, dividers etc. oh, the dats before the Internet and cell phones.

So much so that as an adult, I vowed never to share walls with people again, and have only lived in detached houses since - so much more peaceful...

I love dollar tree!! I live in Las Vegas and they are all over, when I moved in to my first apartment that’s where I purchased most of my kitchen supplies!! I also love getting gift bags and tissue paper there
Sometimes I truly feel sad for my children that their generation today consists of nothing but technology and no imagination. they sometimes get excited just to see their name on a piece of mail in the mailbox because everything is usually emailed to you today. I so remember the days of the Trapper Keeper the different colored pens that would sometimes smell like strawberry or grape, scratch and smell stickers, Fat pencils and fun erasers to put on top of your pencils.having to figure out what paper bag you were going to use and decorate for your textbooks. We had so much to do to get prepared for school it was so much fun back then.

@@Tubigirl I was born in 1990 and I think they were on their way out when I hit middle school. It was all about the 5 star binders that were covered in fabric I had a denim one with stars that I adored. You don't get more early 2000s than that! lol

I loved my Trapper Keeper. It was bright green and white. I was so excited to bring it to school. I felt so organized and scholarly. Don't worry about what other people say. Hurt people hurt people. For all of the people who say something bad, you have three times as many folks who say something good. You're still way in the lead. Hugs.
I have seen a rainbow inside of a cloud before. It was beautiful and exciting because I have only seen one once. I looked up “sun dog” and it means two bright spots in the sky on the right and left of the sun (part of a bright halo around the sun), which is different than what I saw and what I think you were describing. Also, I think Trapper Keepers were a requirement for our generation at school. Mead must have made a ton of money on them! It is funny that people are still collecting them.
I think this is my all time favourite ASMR video as I always come back to it. Though some of your shopping haul videos are definitely in the running. There is just something so relaxing about listening to you explain your thought process. I love the fact that you didn't really know what to write but it feels so unscripted which just feels like such genuine ASMR! No other ASMR artist can really come close to you in my opinion
Hah! I had that trapper keeper. Idk why but i still remember fondly the sound & sensation of ripping open that velcro-so satisfying!! You felt so like, strong/intentional & like a boss! Then the fabric one i had after that-loved ripping that zipper around grabbing it by the Eiffel tower keychain i had attached. Lol felt like racing around a racetrack in a car with a lot of horses. Lol the 4th grade equivalent. The smallest things!
Oh my how I wish I had held on to my Trapper Keepers! I had 2..a blue one and a Lisa Frank one!!! Also, I loved my metal lunch boxes too...I had a ton of different ones of those...again wish I had held on to those as well 😭😭😭
I love thrift stores 😍 and I remember when I was younger I used to have one of those keepers . But the flap would always get ruined 😂 from opening and closing it too much . Your voice sounds like the lady from The Help . Very lovely .

A few years ago in school we had pen pals and it was so much fun we would get a little bit of class time to make a letter! I still am friends with my pen pal to this day!
I still have my sticker book from the 80's!! My 9yr old daughter has it now and started her own. Some of my scratch and sniff still have a faint scent which is crazy...dill pickle was my favourite! Love your videos Mary...my twins both watch at bedtime, by request...you are their favourite!!! My daughter loves your southern accent, she tries to copy you saying" that's nice" or "that's so pretty", pretty funny from a 9 yr old Canadian girl😁♥️💜
