I never had raw eggplant before. Here in Suriname we always cook it. It's very delicious with shrimp or fish. And we use to eat it with rice😊

Bitter gourd is peeled cut and covered in salt to take away the bitterness then after an hour wash excess salt and fry that’s how we make it in a curry with lamb

U can cook the bitter melon in bamboo shoots water as it is sour n with green chilli obvious thing salt too. It doesn't taste bitter

1:00 you should suggest people that they should try “raw” eggplants instead of “cooked” ones because everybody already do eat eggplants “cooked” in many dishes lol at least most of us specially South Asians/any Asian in general then Mediterranean/Persian/Africans and many other people it’s a very common staple dish for us but what most people don’t eat often is “raw” eggplants like you do haha😂so it should be the other way around coz who doesn’t eat cooked eggplant right? (just something I found funny in the video that’s all lmao)🤣

When I was a small child, I would thoroughly enjoy West Bengali style fish curry. However, on multiple occasions, I remember my classmates as a small child and giving me one out of two reactions the first one being that they’re staring at me neither because they’re absolutely curious as to what I’m eating for lunch as I went to preschool in the local community center for my childhood town of Schaumburg Chicago, where I spent the first seven years of my life growing up. Very rarely were my fellow classmates, staring at me out of actual spitefulness. But mostly it was Donna, sheer curiosity that comes with being a preschooler other times again very rarely people would say that meeting my fish, curry was kind of odd. As it was smelling, an unfamiliar smell to them, and just looking at the container, holding the food was somehow making them lose their appetite, but that was the rare exception. Now I can say with quite a bit of confidence, I do enjoy eating fish curry as long as it’s not Asiatic salmon steak as you’ve got to do quite a bit of work picking out the individual bits of bone. There is another type of white fish that I do not know the name of that is native to west India that also has the same problem only multiply the contents of bone in this fish by 1000% and you see my fish eating dilemma. 😂 ! I also discovered this most delectable cuddle fish noodles. It has small pieces of cuttlefish and it’s so delectable. I don’t know why I stopped eating fish because I was too socially conscious for my early teenage years, but I can happily say that most seafood, with the exception of large octopus and large industrial sized shrimp, shellfish. Basically anything seafood base that is industrial sized I cannot eat. But the exception to this rule is fish. As long as I stay away from seafood, that is the exception of extremely large fish like large crabs, large shrimp, large oysters, etc. seafood is delectably good! Lol I am now craving a bit of salmon. I could go for some super yummy salmon fillet lol 😂 ! I’m such a foodie!
