Hi friends! Join me once again for a whispered journey into the past with a 1926 issue of National Geographic! I picked up this old tome at a thrift store for a mere $8, and it contains a wealth of fascinating historical photographs and stories. From icebergs in the North Atlantic to the stunning beauty of the Amalfi Coast and an aerial tour across Canada, we take a relaxing voyage into the past and around the globe!
ASMR triggers include up-close, ear-to-ear whispering, incidental mouth sounds, pointing, tracing, page turning, tapping, and scratching. I recommend listening with headphones for the best experience! 🎧

WHAT IS ASMR? 👨‍🏫
---------------------------------------------------
My videos are designed to trigger a relaxing feeling called ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a particular sensation that some people experience when they hear quiet sounds like whispering and soft speaking or watch certain actions like slow hand motions. ASMR is often described as a pleasant tingling on the head and neck, accompanied by a feeling of deep calm and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to relax and manage anxiety, stress, or insomnia. To learn more about ASMR, check out asmruniversity....

Never realized how crisp the sound on that mic was until you scraped the book cover.👌

The sheets on the inside covers are called end papers.

Yes, more 1920s NatGeo! I really hope to see this turn into a long term thing eventually. There's a lot to cover, and it's still very on brand for fellow nerds with a knack for history.

James Michener's Poland is one of the best light reading sweeping histories of Poland. Highly recommended.

Wow, fascinating to watch that bit about Poland, I could read the paragraph mentioning the huge Yiddish speaking Jewish population and how they resented the American NatGeo reporter over the immigration changes at Ellis Island. Just fascinating to see pre ww2 history laid out like that. Kind of ominous knowing what happened to those people…Left me with a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach I must say… not to darken the video though, which was very good sensory wise. Love these history videos I hope you make more! ❤
