For this A Song of Ice & Fire battle report, I am playing a Balon Greyjoy list against Russell's Harmen Uller list. We're playing the Clash of Kings game mode at The Forge, in Houston Texas. Enjoy!

Rules Corrections: 1. When the Sunspear Dervishes were destroyed, "Unbowed Unbent Unbroken" should have been removed from the Lysene Sellswords. This would have saved them some panic wounds later on. 2. The Sunspear Skirmishers shoot into a friendly combat but we forget to have the engaged Martell unit take a panic test.

You also forgot about the panic test at 1:02:55 if I'm not mistaken. I feel like a lot of players overlook the panic test when they fire into units engaged with other units. This is quite a shame, really, as you are passing over a potential trigger on abilities such as dauntless and stubborn tenacity.

I was just recently introduced to this game a few weeks ago by the owners of my FLGS, and I am hooked! I currently own two 40 point armies - Baratheon and Lannister. I highly enjoy your channel, above many of the others out there covering ASoIaF. I have slowly started adding some videos of my own to the QuestWise channel and plan to do more as time goes on. Always love seeing your videos pop up. Loved the end of game recap analysis. One thing to point out is that Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken comes off the unit it's attached to when a friendly Martell unit is destroyed. When the Dervishes died, UUU should have come off the pirates. It would have saved you 5 wounds of panic damage overall. Turn 6 pirates could have been on the middle point with 6 wounds in the unit but I agree that it's probably a moot point since the Sand Skirmishers could have dealt with the unit still.

Thanks for the support! I completely missed that UUU drops off after a friendly Martell unit dies. I’m still not as familiar with all their cars text as I really should be for a faction that’s been out in the wild for over half a year. Thanks for the correction!

Great batrep as always! At 51:12 I think you mean “Reek was granted mercy at the tip of a Royal Guard spear” lol. This is a particularly interesting battle for me as I just played my GJ’s into my friend’s Martells, and got absolutely smoked.

Theon had it coming! I totally forgot to use his ability, so he was totally useless, aside from proxying a standard Sellswords later in the game. Greyjoys are a lot of fun. No matter how the game goes, I always have fun running them. I can’t say the same for every faction I’ve played. Glad you enjoyed the game!

Great report :) im new to the game and find yours easy to follow. I really appreciate the intro deployment map and the planned strategy going into the match. Id maybe say throw the map graphic back up between turns as the current state of things, but your end review is really good in

Thanks for watching. Greyjoys will always hold a special place for me. They’re so much fun to play, and the models are awesome. It’s just a shame they aren’t as competitive at a high level. But I have hope that they’ll work their way up in the future.

Great game. Greyjoys occurred stronger than I had expected. Resurrecting like a Phoenix from ashes. :) Any leaks about how the Greyjoys will be changed by CMON?

Greyjoys are one of my all time favorite factions to play. So much fun. I unfortunately do not have any inside information on the upcoming Greyjoy faction rework, but I’m hopeful that it will be for the better! We’re all hoping that the update will come sometime in the next few months, but there hasn’t been any official word about it since the initial developer livestream earlier in the summer.

When the chosen charged the dervishes, and after he made his attack with set for charge, wouldnt the martell player have been able to swift retreat before the chosen's actual attack?

Yep! Set for charge counts as an attack, which could then trigger swift retreat.

What is Dead May Never Dies requires you to take D3 wounds before taking any action *unless* you control the Sword zone. Knowing this, I made sure I always controlled the Sword once that card was in play 😎

1:41:22 warcry only affects one enemy unit, not two. Great BatRep!

Thanks for the comment. I believe that in the scene you are referencing, I had two enemy units to pick from. One already had a vulnerable token so I decided to give the other unit a panic token. I don’t believe I have two tokens out. In retrospect though I probably should have given the first unit a panic token, because I believe it could have forced them to fail a panic test and be destroyed after they were attacked by my Bowmen.

@@imperialminis857 Warcry says "On a success, target 1 enemy in long range, it becomes Panicked and Vulnerable". I think you have to put both on 1 target enemy. I don't believe you can put one panic on one enemy unit, and one vulnerable on another. If that enemy unit already has a Panic or Vulnerable, you could only put the other. Unless this rule has changed?

The War Cry ability actually changed in the last patch. The card I used for Asha’s attachment shows the old version. That’s a mistake on my part. But the new War Cry says, “…on a success, it becomes Panicked *or* Vulnerable”. So now we can only give out one token or the other.
