The REN may be an iconic product, but my skin hates it. Tiam all the way or me, much gentler but still effective

I think K-beauty products themselves are a lot gentler... equally effective, but definitely gentler - I haven't met a harsh Korean product till date!

The blursh colour is indeed not friendly for lots of skintones. It looks like there's a white base to it (I saw someone swatch it), if that's the case, it could have a greyish tint on darker skintones... I'm fair but with yellow/olive undertones, I wouldn't try it either.

Ugh. Yes, it looks SO chalky! Literally any medium pink or coral or peach shade would have been better than this one.

Renu, have you seen the Pretty Little Thing calendar? I saw it and thought of you instantly! If you fancy a good rant, you might want to dissect this one, It’s a SHOCKER. It’s the calendar of tools and fillers. And it’s £55!!

I've already see an unboxing of this calendar and I was so underwhelmed, also I've learnt from you to discard the minis from the value, plus her calendar had a product leaking and apparently is a common occurrence for products to leak in this calendar, so not worth it!

I bought one in 2018, for a mere £55 (paid a bit less with a code IIRC)... haven't bought one since the price shot up by £20 the following year (and tat and repeats started coming in). But it's a crying shame if they're sending it all leaky, and doing nothing about it. Now the price is nearly £100, so there's no excuse for shoddy packaging.

For the first time in years, I’m not buying an advent calendar. Really disappointed, but none of those I’ve seen have appealed. Bought the Vogue one last year and loved it. Was so looking forward to the 2024 one but no thanks. Got cashmere socks and a silk eye mask last year and I have no desire for a pack of playing cards!! Thank you for your wisdom and your wonderful videos x

I'm filming that one tomorrow 😂 Socks, playing cards, and a scarf, not to mention jewellery. The only good thing is, a lot of products are full sized, but I still think £355 is a LOT. Hopefully you'll find an advent calendar that works for you soon x

TBH the quality is now SO bad that you're better off buying the full sizes that you want when they're on sale, or when there's a gift with purchase, and then making your own advent calendar with those products - works out cheaper as well!

This is I did get it only because I could use a discount code and cost me 81 euros en that made it worth it for me (would never had paid the full-price) what I do like the Charlotte Tilbury, bum bum oil, Mac lipstick. Unpacking is horrible the boxes are glued so you have to destroy it to open it. 😮

I did order it because - yes, few options at that price 😂. The SDJ body oil is so small, they could have given a decent size which would have been something different and skipped the BumBum altogether. The hair ties are not exciting at all, but I will at least use them unlike the dreaded eye mask. I think haircare is a lot cheaper so they load it up, they don’t care that not everyone bleaches the crap out of their hair and doesn’t need it!

I hope so! I look forward to seeing what YesStyle does, and I sincerely hope they leave out the glitter and the tat this year. Their boxes are SO collectible that we tend to overlook the contents a bit 😂

Back when there were some eight gua sha stones back in 2022 or so, someone said they were using them for their cat to play with, so it's always fun to think up alternate uses for oft-repeated products 😂

@@CosmetopiaDigest gosh, those gua sha thingies were (and are) terrible. I'm a geologist and I just think of the waste of using those minerals as silly face pushers. 🤦‍♀️ Also what will archeologists think in the future when they dig thousands of these things up?

I stopped buying advent calendars. I had bought many when they first came out and I found I didn’t use many of the products. During 2021 I cancelled even my fab fit fun. The boxes were boring. I miss the surprise but not the products. And it was getting more and more expensive. At one point you out price yourself
