I don't even like the look of the box this year, let alone the contents! I like to reuse the boxes but that bright yellow would be hard to repurpose. (Here's a fraction of the money you've saved me this year as a token of my appreciation. Thank you for all the time and effort you spend on this!)

Crikey! Thank you! That's actually far more than the affiliate money I've made in the entire year 😂 But then I tell you NOT to buy, so who's going to click on affiliate links anyway! 😂😂 I'm sorry I'm very late with all the other calendars. My voice finally gave out last weekend, so I only have one more pre-filmed video, and couldn't film today. The CT chest with those sticking out handles reminds me of a heart with the valves coming out of it. I much prefer the chest box. The sizes are a complete insult!! What a rip off 🥹

Seriously, what IS that box? I bought a Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar once - it was their first one, and that was back when I only had my blog. As is STILL the case, there were all of three full sized products back then - the rest were all minis that they're happy to give away at the counters. As is STILL the case, about 60% of the products remain... the exact same products - maybe the shades are different 😂 As is NOT the case now, I was an idiotic young girl at the time, who thought she was getting a great deal for the £150 that she had spent 😂😂

Oooooh, I've found another Avant brand. Was watching a Glossybox advent calendar unboxing and there was a 10ml perfume in the most generic sprayer ever, supposedly retailing at £110 from a brand ive never heard of, Sentier👂🤔 Hmmm.... suspicious. One Google search later, of course it's the 166 College Road address in Harrow like all the other very high-end luxury brands like Avant, Able Skincare, Symbiosis and all the other ones 😏

You are an amazing investigator! Back when we talked about Avant this season (so it has to be on the LookFantastic calendar), someone replied to a comment, asking if Avant were also releated to Sentier fragrance, who have an advent calendar this year. Now I can go answer that person, thanks to you. How many more of these highly overpriced private label brands are they going to churn out? WHO is behind them? The beauty boxes? Retailers? People with... money to hide?

The LG and Glossybox calendars seem the best so far. Mostly full size products and a good price. I always see how much I want in a calendar but also how much I would willingly pay for it. And what other things I might buy instead. Fancy skincare sounds fun but I never buy it because my KBeauty is better and usually did it first anyway. Not buying expensive luxury knock offs of my Korean drugstore skincare 😂

This is why I got the LF and glossybox advent this year. £75 cheaper still and get way more full-sized products that I like and would use. What's your thoughts on the Marks and Spencer advent calendar this year? Undecided with that one and the Holland and Barrett one 🤔

TINY SAMPLE VIALS. It irks me so, SO much to see them! You can get them free at brand counters. I bought a Lancome perfume for my Mum last Christmas, and they gave me sample vials of pretty much everything they had, and a cute miniature bottle of La Vie En Rose as well (and some sachets of skincare) - all in all, it was more exciting than an advent calendar. At £250, I don't want to see those little samples.

Last year it seemed like a great calendar. This year, I was keeping an eye on it but nope... the patches are a weird choice, I don't really trust those to be effective. And the nail polishes aren't the best colours in my opinion. It's the second calendar that has Morrocan Oil, what is going on? I thought they were just the sponsors of the Eurovision 😋 I'll stop here, I'm dissapointed in the content, my wallet is happy. That was a perfect lyric match for the song 😁

Last year's had two of those nail polishes, but they were both quite different colours, AND one was a festive red, IIRC. Even the packaging was more festive. Plus, they had Lisa Eldridge, Rabanne, and a Byredo lipstick - much better than this year's lot.

I would have understood even a hot water bag - one of the cutesy ones that YesStyle sells (you don't want to know how many I've bought from there; I can make my own advent calendar at this point). But... between the toes... is a bit much for me 😂😂

Can we talk about products that have gone off contained within some of these advent calendars? I received a face oil in a Harrods advent calendars a few years ago that simply had to be off. It smelt rancid, but it was expensive.. I dont live near harrods so couldn’t take it back, and I simply dont know if it was supposed to smell that way. Then, I received a completely dried up charlotte tilbury mascara mini in a space nk advent calendar. They kindly refunded me for the mascara, but this should not be happening and has caused me to question how long some of these sample sizes have been hanging around for. My money is safe again this year, there is not enough to interest me in order to make the investment.

Would you mind if I quoted you? I'm receiving quite a few comments like this, about products going off, or having expired outright... and am thinking of doing a video compiling it all. I will definitely keep your screen name out of it OR include it, whichever way you wish. Someone got a 2021 Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk mascara last year in their Harrods calendar, which IS a bit old for 2023. This isn't just about missing products, or damaged products, or tat, or repeats, anymore. It is about OLD and EXPIRED products being palmed off on us, at super-high prices. Which also becomes a health and safety issue.

As far as I know, Selfridges, via DHL, allows exactly two numbers of perfume products in one international order... so you can't order a set of Penhaligon's or Maison Crivelli mini vials - whether it is tiny minis or full sizes, you can get two in all. So sets of six or four, or even three, are out. Or I could be wrong, and it depends from country to country!

I think we need to vote collectively with our purses for them to understand. Sadly, there will be enough panic-buyers who don't really know much about beauty, who are looking for some gift or the other for a beauty-lover person in their lives - those people will end up buying calendars such as this one, and the companies will never get the feedback we want them to get :(

WHAAAAAAT?????? OMG! That explains a LOT about why they're getting sold out despite being very poor curations! I thought we had seen the WORST when unethical resellers bought YesStyle with multiple accounts, and RESOLD them for sky-high prices on eBay. But I never thought they would break up the calendars as well! This is a horrible trend. Not only does it deny legit beauty lovers a shot at buying the calendars they want, but it also means the advent calendar companies never receive feedback that we don't like their curations. Because the calendars sell well anyway, the companies will continue to give us poorly put together, low-quality boxes. VERY sad.

None announced so far. At the moment, it is between Sweetcare (bought last year), Cohorted (bought the year before that), and YesStyle (bought the years before that). Too bad The Pip Box folded; I loved their advent calendar back when I got it. I wouldn't mind Sephora, but budgeting is a bit tough for me this year.

Don’t know what’s going on this year. The ones I liked last year are rubbish this year and vice versa. Last year I wanted both Harvey Nicks and Selfridges but couldn’t afford them. This year I have the money but both are disappointing so I’ve ordered Sephora and am going to order John Lewis. I’d say they are quite similar in terms of products and have a good variety. I was also tempted by liberty but gone off that one now lol.

I was looking to get another calendar, maybe a 12 day one but they are all disappointing, even the boots "luxury" calendar. And the ones I would be interesting doesn't ship to Ireland (Sephora). While there are slightly too many hair products in it, I bought the cult beauty calendar since it had enough products I already use or are interested in trying. So I guess I'm trying several hair products this year while sipping my tea or Matcha

Thanks! You're not going to believe me... but I actually said it this way in the Space NK video, and someone ELSE said it was the "k" sound 😂😂 But will revert to "sh" because it makes more sense to me, like acai and cupuacu.
