Various English translations of Assanhado suggest 'sassy' or 'outgoing'. There's a real swagger in Jacob do Bandolim's playful theme that's carried by the amazing rhythmic drive of the ensemble Época de Ouro on the 1961 LP 'Chorinhos e Chorões'.
Here I try to evoke those elements into a solo version for guitar. DdV
