Assassin's Creed Mirage is baking in a nostalgic visual filter that brings back the blue-gray color palette of the original Assassin's Creed! #assassinscreed #assassinscreedmirage #gamingnews #summergamefest2023
@@Himeya-kuny’all are too hard on it, you don’t have to use it. Keep in mind the past 3 games we have had and compare it to this, now you’ll see the going back to the roots part
Ubi in 2007: We made a Prince of Persia game without a Prince of Persia so we will call it Assassin's Creed Ubi in 2018: it has no Assassin's but we are still gonna call it Assassin's Creed odessey
The filter doesn't look good on Baghdad. Besides, it was only used in Acre in AC 1 and it fitted the city and the ambiance really well. Damascus, Jerusalem and Masyaf had warmer colors.
@@Nathaniel_B400 yes but it's meaningless. it's a trick to fool fans like you into thinking they actually care when they don't even know why acre had that filter. that fact that they think that filter equals ac 1 is so hilarious, it doesn't fit Baghdad at all and is so pointless
@@harry5384 it’s literally not pointless you whiney baby. It was a 5 second coding project that you literally don’t even have to acknowledge the existence of but many people will still enjoy
@@Frankthegb why was it done? It was marketed as an ac1 filter lol. It’s to act like their going back to the roots when they’re far from it. Also it’s funny how ubisoft think the whole of ac1 looks like that. It’s only acre 😂
I love that they brought the bureau‘s back in this hopefully they all are like the first one where you drop in and there is a hookah smoking and another assassin just chilling lol
Reminds me of ac 1, especially when he dropped down and entered that building after the chase. That area in general reminded me of similar spots in ac 1.
The blue filter in AC1 was an artistic choice that reflected how oppressed Acre was by the Templars. It was a cold place that actively rejected your presence. That's why it was only used in Acre when you also had Damascus, Jerusalem, Masyaf and The Kingdom to explore. In AC2, Florence had a warm, orange filter because it was Ezio's hometown where he felt the most comfortable, whilst in Rome everything is washed out, mostly brown and grey because it's pretty much the same feeling as Acre. Baghdad is Bassim's hometown, so the blue filter is not appropiate at all. If they really wanted to go back to their roots, they'd sepparate the city into districts or zones where the color filter changes depending on the Ancient's influence. But still, Ubisoft keeps ignoring and misinterpreting everything the classic ACs had, did, or stood for.
honestly i kinda never noticed the change in colour compared to other cities...maybe because i was too invested into the gameplay...since you mentioned it,it kinda reminded me how saboteur have this black and white filter for areas tightly controlled by nazis...so,i guess, they kinda got inspired by acre´s filter, maaaaybe
@@gonzalosanchez8162 honestly, wouldn´t made that comparisson if i wouldn´t other stuff Saboteur borrowed from AC1 like 1. parkour (since when Saboteur released AC2 was simply too fresh to be claiming that Saboteur stole it from that game),2. it is rather AC1 from where i do remember citizens were comenting on Altair´s parkour, just like parisians do when seing Sean doing the stuff),3. Sean being able to blend in via disguises (just like we saw from AC1 trailers that Altair´s robes are quite close to "monk" robes while Ezio´s robes were far more unique compared to environment which he was moving through)
The loop of Investigation your target, Collection information about them and then Finally Locating and assassinating your target made Assassin's creed 1 special
@@aslychair3096 Bro, this week is fine but that week when I wrote this, oh my God. I don’t even know where to begin, so it might be like the saddest thing ever haha but I was just in such a bad headspace at that time
Are we forgetting ezio cloned himself with the apple??? Or any of the other magic elements from the older games. Your acting like it having some magic like elements is new
The teleporting reminds me of Fear Multi takendow from Batman AK, but IMO there it was done better cose u could see batman move between targets. I plan on using the filter but not on the first play thru, second or maybe 3rd after some time but not first for best feel they wat this game to be, i hope
They are missing the point of the colors but it's ubisoft they drop the ball hard in AC1 the colors meant something not jsut a color pallet it signified the templar rule in cities the cruelty of the war the lifelesness and ruin... not just a shitty filter
@@joaotoe2833fans - we want old style games developers - ok here you go fans- “NoStaLgiA BaiT MilKing MoNey WitH NostAlGia” bunch of fking 🤡 you all are
Ubisoft: we’re gonna return to our roots with a ac mirage Also Ubisoft: We added teleportation to the game even though it was never a feature in any other game within the franchise
@@hdudhehdhd2222the first two AC games had multiple cities not just one. There was no teleportation, the free running looks bad, crowd blending is missing and i mean real crowd blending not that knock off from Valhalla.
@@aslychair3096still nostalgic. That filter for anyone who is a real og gamer of assassins creed knows that’s from 1. Hell when the video first started I thought that was assassins creed 1 at the top
@@pumpkinspicecat650 ... Yeah... I used to do the same with evie Frye and her invisibility cloak remember that ability ? but it suck that I'm limited to force myself not use 3 triple assassination feature... Because it doesn't look grounded... Why they didn't use a triple Assassination like assassin's Creed liberation remember that Aveline can lock 3 targets and able to kill them in a more grounded way...
Meanwhile nobody complains about being able to fight a headless dude in Rogue, go literally completely invisible in Syndicate, shapeshift in Unity, let Assassins teleport to you in Brotherhood, have skeleton crew in Black Flag, somehow grab an infinite amount of torches from your inventory in Origins, heck even leap-of-faithing into a haystack isn’t realistic. Like what is your point?
Ppl complain about the teleportation saying it’s unrealistic mean while in unity you can literally change Arnos body to disguise himself to sneak past guards
I just cant believe it, in spite of physical handicap they did it, they actually did it....parkour. so muchhhhh power what a fucking inspiration. Must return to Bmi weight from sheer respect....i will do my best.
I mean I wouldn't have been even that mad when they showed the Eagle view from top I was bit aad but git even sadder when I saw Basim fucking teleporting 😔
Honestly I feel like it's fine, as long as it's explained by being in the animus. The older ac games had some weird sci fi elements and I think they made it more interesting. I just hope it's not the level of ridiculousness and magic from odyssey and Valhalla.
yeah mirage reminded me of the original assassins creed so much from the trailer, especially when basim teleporting all over the place to assassinate the guard, just like altair used to do
Honestly I never thought the dark blue look from ac1 was a factor to the nostalgia…I’m pretty sure we meant just the gameplay, the impact of the brotherhood and the Templars, the white robes and hidden blade, the beggars on the street following u (jk on that one, no one misses that! 🤣)
Are they gonna bring back the ability to fly from ac1 too? Because it sure was fun getting softlocked back then. But now for real, i'm very split on using it or not because the game looks great without it but the nodtalgia of the first game is a major factor
My dude old ac used to try to be era accurate as much as possible, having instant transmission power is breaking those terms and conditions. Just adding a colour pellet really, is that all ubisoft need to bring old fans back 😅
Aren’t they just making then a half assed clone of the older games? Like take what Unity did and just expand on that. Ubisoft literally misses the whole point of why they’re going back
@@Urmompeakedinhighschool2 maybe. I mean we dont know fs yet but my guess is, the animus just speeds up Basim’s chain kill for convenience. In the same way leap of faith’s weren’t actually that high and just added by the animus for convenience. Its also possible it could be related to a piece of eden
Its a nice addition, but the whole reason the original had that tint was because of graphics at the time that said tint was used to obscure and make up for. I don’t want to use a filter that dulls the color and lighting.
I went back to ac2 recently and it reminded me of the assasins whose tombs you needed to search to unlock altairs armour. Why tf didnt ubisoft just make six ac games each focusing on those assassins???? I enjoyed origins but there was literally an Egyptian assassin right in front of their eyes to make a game of.
Dude no place in real life has a blue tint. They could put a blue tint on whatever city they wanted to lmao. This is just an option for ppl who want to play it w the old filter
@@hdudhehdhd2222 This has nothing to do with how it actually is. The Colour grading in AC1 had for the three big Cities something special. Acre had the dark blueish grey, Damascus the yellow red and Jersualem a greenish Look to show how each city is affected by war. They try to replicate the Acre kind of grading but fail to understand why it was so Dark and Depressing. So it's poor Fan service with no second of thought.
@@darkflame2067 yes ik that. Point is, at least the general consensus by the community, the bluish look in acre is the most iconic style in AC1 bc of the content there. The base color scheme in this game is already similar to Damascus and Constantinople. This thing is a an additional filter thats entirely optional and solely for people who want to use it. Theres no issue with that at all. Yes acre was that color because of how fucked it became in the story, but that doesnt mean that same color scheme cant be used again to bring a similar aesthetic for the people who want it
