Same for me, I played liberation on the vita a ton despite the bugs. Just because it's a genuine AC on handheld. Now when I see this, part of me is wishing that I don't have the 3 games ready to be played on PC ...
@@FreakyxP Yeah, I never got really invested in liberation. It started with the wooden animations for the character, and the storyline didn’t grab me as much. The world also felt a bit empty after a while. I was really hoping for a full fledged A-C experience, but I had more fun with AC bloodlines on psp (even though I know it was graphically less powerful, and the areas were much smaller, with more Classic A-C gameplay, but to me that one felt like a great handheld testimony to the full game). I also liked the DS version way back, also Altair and the gameplay felt somewhat between A-C and prince of persia. I also really liked the stories and different areas in that one. But now here we are, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations, AC3, black flag, and rogue all playbable on handheld! That’s my younger self’s wildest dream come true! Although I’m planning to travel to India and stay with a friend in Goa for a month in september. I’m packing my good old vita and going to play A-C chronicles India when I’m there! That’s what I also did with the other A-C games. Visited Venice and Firenze, played AC2; visited Rome, played Brotherhood; visited Istanbul, played Revelations, Then for 3 I skipped the US and went to Barcelona instead. Only since Unity I’ve been at it again, visiting Paris with my gf. London solo, then playing Syndicate. Playing Odyssey and visiting Athens, Pireus and the island of Aegina. I’ve been holding off on origins until I plan my trip to Egypt. Unfrortunately me and my gf split up, but those travels we did remain some of my fondest memories! /\
@@stevoofd You're right, the vita version was pushing limits. Sometimes, if you want to make a great game for a handheld, you have to reimagine the franchise and invent entirely new gameplay. Think of all the GameBoy Advance/NDS adaptations :D Glad to hear you're still enjoying your vita! When it was no longer being made, I treated myself to an upgrade, the Aqua Blue Vita Slim and my gf got the Pink White version (both from Japan) and unwrapping it was really exciting, just like back then :) It's still incredible to take PS1 games on the go as well. Haha you won't believe how excited I got, traveling to Venice for the first time, just to see how much I recognize from AC2. Sorry to hear that my friend, but those surely sound like wonderful memories!! And I think you'll have an amazing time playing Origins, it's one of my favorites, I even went for 100%. So after 100 hours, I completed it, but haven't even touched the DLCs. The discovery tour will be especially epic while you're on vacation there :) Take care! p.s. Never touched the Chronicles series, would you recommend it?
@@FreakyxP I've only played India so far. It has some beautiful environments, but I do feel like the stealth mechanics and 2d gameplay aren't that great of a match. If you want to go for a gold rating (pure stealth and only assassinating assigned targets) there's a lot of trial and error, which kind of ruins the flow of a playthrough. If you can stumach that, it's possibly worth digging into. Otherwise you're totally fine skipping it. Yeah I started my third playthrough of AC2 in Venice on my switch, it felt great to let phantasy and real world overlap this way! I also just got back from India and AC chronicles was a good companion to have during the long trainrides between cities. Some could take up to 20 hours. Next on my list is Uncharted Lost Legacy, to extend my India travel high a bit further!
I remember the days playing AC2 for the very first time. I was kinda lost to where the game was going until the race where Ezio and his brother are racing to the tower and the opening sequence hits, I knew this game was gonna be a good one. I can’t wait to play this again.
Thank you for filming in this style, it’s what I was looking for. I wanted to see what the game looked like ok the switch. But like this not just the screen.
Nintendo has been making so many good decisions lately. From this, to saints row, gta and now no man's sky being released sometime this summer. Mind blown. So many classic games accessible wherever I want to play them.
I just had to play Assassin's Creed II on Switch and I think it still looks good, especially when it arrives in Venice the texture update of the buildings looks really good there
So for some reason when I'm climbing any wall, he doesnt continue to go up unless I push my joystick up for he him to keep going. Is this lag normal or like just a me issue? Have you experienced this in any way while playing? I've never had this issue playing on my ps before but on my switch its nonstop, causing me to replay over and over again which is very annoying.
Wow that's amazing That's it I'm buying myself a Nintendo switch lite Just to play these assassin's Creed games again on the go anywhere In my office .. Ezio collection is the best assassin's Creed games ever Is it available as physical or digital only?
