@@p3ter408 The PS3 cpu is actually still more powerful than the ps4 because of it's special design. Not even one game could use it's full power though that's why they went with a simple cpu on the ps4.
Isnt it crazy how far technology has come? The switch sure is impressive. Imagine, in 10 or so years, we will be able to play beautiful games like red dead redemption 2 on a sandwich sized tablet. Absolutely incredible
The switch is almost as strong as a ps3 in handheld mode meaning that the next switch will be as strong or stronger than the og ps4. The switch is the future of gaming
Not 10 years. Now. The technology already exists. The new Surface pro X is on an ARM mobile processor just like the switch. It has 2 teraflops of power, and for comparison, the base ps4 is 1.8 teraflops
lmao, AC3 is the best for last gen if you talking about graphic, i mean look at the physic of the grass, in AC3 when you're about to hide or walk pass the grass, it's move, but in AC4 & Rogue it's dead like a fuckin PC low setting
@@lilpp4791 Just looking at the specs you can realize that Switch is WAY more powerful than PS3. Just some companies do lazy ports to it, not like Naughty Dog making remasters for PS4.
@@lilpp4791 dude switch is like 4x-6x stronger than the ps3 how the freak is that the same power or a little stronger than ps3 in that case switch is slightly weaker than the ps4 because it's 4x weaker than ps4
Switch looks mostly like it's just the last gen port at a higher resolution. Which isn't bad though. Does look to have better reflections over last gen also

I just played this game on the switch for an hour....I was excited and amazed by the game and the console I mean...imagine a game like AC BLACK FLAG on the go with you....it's amazing! Loving the game!☆☆☆☆☆
The background music is really soothing. Is it part of a soundtrack? I've been debating whether i should buy or not but i think i just got sold by just of it.
Got it yesterday for my lite, never had a Nintendo since the Gameboy color, long time. I'm so glad I got the comsole 2 weeks ago, the power it has to give some of its games their graphics. This video is a testament to it. Amazing machine for €229
I’ve beat this game on Xbox 360 (on a garbage TV), garbage pc at 20fps 720p, a PS4 in full HD and now finally on my Nintendo Switch. So happy the have it in handheld, brings back all the memories.
@@dexthegamer3234 but it also got a lot of upgrades that make it look even better than the ps4 version... Ubisoft was obviously lazy @ porting assassin's creed to switch...
@@HermesderWetterbote one is a open world action game and another is a linear horror game which was released on the PS4 the day it was released and another is a 5 year old Port that uses different technologies to make it look better than then the old version
Devs can work really hard and still make a bad looking game. Appearances matter in the industry. DOOM '16's port gets a pass because it was the first of its kind, but now consumers are over the technical achievement and want their games to look pretty on the big screen and handheld. Alien Isolation exceeds in this regard. Frankly, I think Ubisoft has enough money to make their game look / run great on any machine, but often choose not to. (E.G. Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Assassin's Creed Unity)

When they ported the game to Switch, it was initially over 50gb and ran at 10fps. The only reason it was brought to switch was the portability aspect. The game would have looked and ran worse on PS3/360 with additional screen tearing that was prominent in even the best games last gen.
Switch is more powerful than PS3/X360 and run TW3 at fucking 480p and with potato texture quality. If they ported it for PS3/X360 running with that quality, people would get very angry.
@@lilpp4791 no they couldn't Lol. the switch is 2016 tech, thats why witcher 3 is possible on it. ps3 has not even 512 of RAM available for games, there's NO WAY a game like witcher 3 could be possible. hell it struggle on running dark souls and skyrim. don't foll yourselves y'all
For anyone doubting the Switch version, it plays incredible in portable mode! Smooth as! When docked, your gonna nitpick it. It’s main draw is for portable gaming!

7th gen. And... yes and no. This game looks mostly the same across all versions, and was build for CPU-based systems. But if you look at other games, designed for Switch, the Switch version has a substantial advantage over 7th gen consoles.
Not popular opinion, but, despite the fact that a console the size of a tablet is running at 900p a detailed and beautiful open world game like this, which is one of the best action open world multiplatform from its era, Switch is capable of more. We are talking about a system capable of running The Witcher 3, or even further, Monster Hunter Rise and Doom Eternal. Don´t get me wrong Black Flag is a great game and i´m sure it looks pretty well, specially in handheld mode, but at least it should have some of the upgrades of One/PS4 version, like more detailed textures and physics on the vegetation (even Breath of The Wild can do that on WiiU...so...). It´s good to have AC games on the go, but Ubisoft should put a little bit of effort, instead of straight porting 360/PS3/Wii U version and just increase the resolution and kind of fix a little the lighting. With some effort i´m sure Switch could run Unity with cuts here and there....And even WiiU could had run some of the improvements of PS4 Black Flag, with lower framerate and resolution.
The engine was very well optimized for last gen consoles. Its clearly not that well optimized for Switch, even so the brute force hardware power of Switch allowed higher resolution, but it does not used new shaders. A bit emberassing that Ubisoft still not manged to optimize the engine for Switch.
Klapauzius The game is one of the best looking games for the system I have it, just finished downloading Rouge and the DLC yesterday this is an amazing port Ubisoft did a great job. You obviously don’t understand cost, this is a Hybrid system shaving off little to no resolution for it to be played in handheld, tabletop and tv such surprising quality.
Honestly, I just don't see much of a difference, between the PS3 and Xbox 360 Version and the PS4 and Xbox One Version. Thing is, you've gotta remember, games like: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Metal Gear Solid 5 Uncharted 1-3 The Last of Us Watch Dogs Tomb Raider Were built from the ground up, on PS3 and Xbox 360. The PS4 and Xbox One Versions of these games, however, are just Ports in 1080p and 60FPS, plus all DLC included. I don't mind seeing Older Generation Games on Newer Generation Consoles, BUT they need to do things that makes the Originals better and feel expanded upon, not just up the Resolution and Frame Rate, because that's just a Cash Grab and I'm not a fan of those at all. So, Publishers and Developers, if you're going to bring Older Games to Newer Generation Consoles, that's fine, but give them the same amount of love and respect, too. That's what I want to see and so does everyone else.
When i play on my switch it looks pretty good but there are a lottttttt lf glitches like once black beard was on his ship smoking his pipe but his npc was not there but the pipe was

@@GGBGameplays but shitty thermals which makes them impossible to use their full potential. let alone fhe fact that these games won't sell on mobile because consumers are just people with the cheapest taste possible and the rights are weak
@@GGBGameplays yes but the companies aren't interested on wasting resources to port to mobile because they wouldn't make much money, and it be pretty useless to play cool games with touch controls.
Ive only played the pc version. I never knew how much was cut for the PS4. No volumetrics at all, soft shadows, or a decent AO. That said the pc version had a broken triple buffering that need to be tricked to turn off, up until a couple years ago. The Switch appears to be medium settings with shadows on high. Such a cool game.
So, they used the last gen version as a base for the Switch version. Shadow quality and textures seem pretty close between them. Both are missing the water drops on the ship while raining. And just like PS3, it doesn't have colision physics for the high grass at certain points. Also for some reason, facial hair on the protagonist is reduced by a lot compared with PS3. It's a shame. The Switch can do much better. But... I guess it's easy money for Ubisoft.
@@eastern2687 The only thing Switch has over PS3 is resolution and framerate. Everything else is comparable between them. Low res shadows, low res textures, no water drops during storms on the ship, character models with less detail... and at times, just like PS3, the Switch also misses colission with high grass. It is what it is: The Switch version is much, MUCH closer to PS3 than PS4. It's a fact. Get over it.
