Why are complaining? If it was as your same level you would be disappointed. "I've beaten an incredibly strong mercenary and I don't get a proper reward worthy of the effort" you would say. Plus, equipping something stronger than you makes the game a relaxing walk, then the difficulty levels don't make sense
Hüseyin Delidogan First of all, they wouldn’t be super strong if you were the same level as them. Second of all, you can’t equip a weapon stronger than you so that’s why he said it. Third of all, you’re actually stupid. That probably should’ve been first though.
Mercenaries roamn the open world by themselves. Depending on who they are, they might have "enemies" that will fight them even if you are not aware. For example, I had a quest where I had to kill a Athenian mercenary. The zone where he was was under Spartan occupation, and I found him dead near a Spartan camp.
BernardoOne Yes same happened to me but with Athenians that had a conflict with some pirates in Keos island next to Athens...i found their corpses lying on every corner of the beach
ultra fire one of the first things I do when starting is going straight for Poseidon’s trident because then I can put the breathe underwater effect on any of my weapons and can get a cool cosmetic skin
I hate when im riding a fort and some dumbass puts a bounty on me. And then mercenary comes and the bounty goes up and up..it even worse when they attack you in athens or places where the people use to attack you. Im allways at max bounty. Aint paying that sht 😂
@@99yearsago37 yea the ones showing the skull instead of the level. They usually one hit you. But i really like thos ekind of battles. Cause youte literally fighting for your life. And you get to sweat.. haha tbh for me thats the best thing about having max bounty level.
@@katie-iw6js sometimes the ledges can be glitchy trust me. I've Spartan kicked atlantean polemarches, they are WAAAAAY more op than max level bounty hunters

Same here, I was in a fight with Mercenary way above my level and i drag him to the beach and i start to swimming to my ship, and guess what she drown herself into the water.
I know this is probably late but mercenaries at high level take little to no knock back with that ability and are heavily resistant to charged heavy attacks. Sucks bu that’s the game.
@@99yearsago37 told you to fight mercenaries ships ...you get a lot of loot, and its much easier because your lieutenants will help you, so you can fight higher rank mercenaries..also, before starting a naval battle, use your eagle to scout on other ships, so you might have an idea on the loot available
Even without others to help you fight, once you unlocked Hero Strike and build-up your Assassin damage, you can pretty much cheese any merc beyond ur lvl. Now that the Ezio's outfit is out, its even more ridiculous.
Then try to get them to an edge of the nearest/highest cliff and continue to attack then until the last hit of your weapon combo hits(sorry if am not making sense it’s kinda hard to explain)which can/will knock them over. However their back must face the edge of the cliff in order to work
There is this trick I discovered a few years ago. If you use a elevator and the counterweight drop on top of an enemy, he would be killed regardless of level, whereas an invisible wall would block higher level enemies from getting kicked off cliffs.
I did the same thing with the lvl 42 mercenary with the flaming hammer while I was level 14. So many deaths but seriously, killing them was worth it and exhilarating
It's not so simple even if you kill the stronger mercenary in the game you advance only one step in the mercenary tiers and the second mercenary become the first one
I remembered I did something similar for fun, I brought 7 or 8 athen soilders and commenders with level 10 to the sparten camp which has over 40 level 7 soilders. The athen team almost killed all the spartens in the camp...
Ahhh, ac odyssey. Those were the days! Before the stamina bar and you had unlimited dodging capabilities. When dodge slowmos we’re so long, you could get enough hit in to gain back a full Adrenaline bar. I miss those times.
if I were to be in your position personally I would’ve finished her with a Sparta kick so I could later recruit her. Imagine being a level 16 newbie with a level 49 mercenary in your ship, reminds when I was around level 60 something attempting to defeat the #1 mercenary, Exekias the legend who was around level 86 I believe. I attempted to recruit post beating him just to realize that when I had finished him off, bare handed he was one of the sages of the cult and welp, the staff just stayed in my inventory for a very long time
In case anyone forgot: The woman who has to slash at her opponent for what might actually be hundreds of times is canonically a demigod and powerful far beyond human ability.
Looking at this I miss how fun it was fighting mercenaries. I have reached a point in my game where literally a critical assasinate will one-shot the mercenary
“You fight well” Coming from the one who led the enemy into a bear fight, ran around map taking pot shots at both parties, then the victor had to face the loop de loop hit and run of death to the end 😂😂😂 it’s fun to find the cheese in games lmao
FT I like to play stealth. It’s one of the few things in the series that improves or at least stays consistent. Unlike the combat which is always up in the air in quality and style. Combat is a failure state to me.
im starting to agree regarding the combat in odessey. i wanted to be a athenian warrior going deep into warrior tech tree. but the combat is so inconsistant in odessey. its not really a nice flow to it. steath is an issue in odessey aswell. its on an all time low with this game imo. tho i havent spend so much into assassin tech tree so thats maybe why.
U have got guts kid. In nightmare difficulty and pure assassin build glass cannon, I killed the erythemean boar(hope I spelled correctly) by luring 3 mercenaries to it. On nightmare difficulty that farting boar is a nightmare especially in my pure assassin pirate set build.
It's useless to kill them when they have special talents to upgrade or protect your ship from enemies ships plus you can recruit them as lieutenant or commander of your ship .
he evade like a pro but I will be disappointed if is not the max difficulty because they predict your second evade when you are luring those bow's attacks are pretty fun
