I know it's a hot take, but I always liked ac odyssey despite it's negative reviews. One reason, is because out of all the RPG ac games, this one had the most take down animations and greece is just beautiful with lots of environmental variety. enjoy.
If you enjoyed Odyssey for its finishers and combat, you will love Valhalla because it has the best combat of the rpg era ac games in my opinion. They updated it so that every kill with a basic light attack activates multiple finishers unique to your weapon of choice and whether you’re holding it with two hands or one hand, whether you’re dual wielding two weapons in both hands, etc. You can also get a guaranteed finisher if you heavy attack an unaware enemy. It makes the combat so brutal, with all the decapitation and flying limbs and blood everywhere it’s a actually so good. I spent hours just experimenting with every weapon to discover all the unique finisher animations, and there is a shocking amount of variety. I just put the enemy health super low in the settings and then run around one-tapping everyone. The controller rumble makes every connection feel super crunchy. One majors drawback is that there are few opportunities to engage in combat unless you seek it out. The open world is designed to be explored and you will rarely stumble across dynamic combat events after you beat the golden path. Regardless, the combat is awesome. If that doesn’t sell you on Valhalla nothing will.
If they make the main sword slightly shorter and less wide, it's would look less cursed. And I knew the Mycenaean Greek uses sword that length and similar width, but no one gonna make sword like than in a era dominated by hoplite combat, and I knew he/she can get similar sword length from Europe, from the Celt, but it is near impossible for commodities to travels that far in this era, you got to be waiting until 4 BC with Alexander conquests to have commercial reaching that far.
To add to the other comment, like origins it's filled with copy pasted activities and a lot of jankiness on a ridiculously huge map that require you to take it slowly, otherwise you will get burned out quite fast. It's great value if you get them on sale, but only buy if you have a lot of time you want to kill.
