And it is even more ridiculous if you know that this is a reference to King Oedipus (Supideo backwards), where the king tries to avoid the prophecy of killing his father and having children from his mother by running away from his adoptive parents (which he didn't know they were) and thus fulfilling the prophecy. Because of this, he blinds himself 🤣
Thank you, I knew it was the quest was a reference to Oedipus Rex and I was looking for another hint. I'm terrible with any kind of word puzzles and didn't spot the name.
I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I don't like Alexios, he's acting is too dry for me, and he's a lot better as Deimos than Kassandra is, and his accent is too thick for me, so hate me if you want but that's my opinion.
@James Hayes I also think it's funnier that Kassandra did it, her reactions, and dialogue in the game in general seems to me like it's for her not Alexios
It actually took me a while to realize this was a reenactment of Oedipus' story. I realized it as soon as I noticed his name is spelled Oedipus backwards.
Interesting thing - if you don’t ‘fuck his pater’ his actual parentage isn’t revealed and Alexios or Kassandra simply says ‘Odd family’ once you finish everything. Lmao.
the thing that is funny is that in french the voice actor for supideo is a very popular youtuber called amixem and he didnt even know the content of the quest before playing it himself
Refusing to accept the blacksmiths ‘spear’ and at the end of the quest then proving the oracle was talking lies, suits my Alexios just fine. He’s a realist. Doesn’t believe oracle/prophecy talking babble of any kind lol
I just finished this quest with alexios and there was a part when I was running back with the shield, alexio said something like, “i better get this back to supidio before he does something …stupidio”
This whole quest is stupid, and hilarious. Hilariously stupid, perhaps? Can I just say "screw the rules" and kill the mater, pater AND son after I complete it? I'll need to bleach my brain as soon as I finish this mission. LOL
Holy shit I just realised this is a while lot funnier playing as the woman and I need to play this game again as her. Also, I know everyone hates on Stadia but I noticed there's a couple of seconds of load time before each dialogue here. It's instant in Stadia.
My cousin watched me do this mission and when I found out the smith had a waifu, I began moaning in disgust that I slept with him. He ain't gonna let me live it down XD
lol i didnt even kill the mater!!! i literally walked into the town from (i think the north) and i found his shield in a chest, then i started the quest, did the blacksmith part, then i thought the game would realize that i had already picked up the shield like it did for a couple other quests, but no, it just awkwardly jumped to the next cutscene, then he accused me of killing his mater even tho i never met the bitch! either way, best quest i've done in any game, the Devs are quite clever, making it an Oedipus parody YOU FUCKED MY PATER AND KILLED MY MATER!

Its a fun game I just got to this part today the quests are fun there's some good parts in the game the only thing I don't like is the amount of money and stuff you need to spend on upgrading your stuff and I think its the most disconnected of all the games but I am happy with it
