Imagine being in ancient Egypt and looking up to the sky and seeing a massive bipedal armored dragon raining swords upon a temple

I am not into Final Fantasy so I have no idea who that was, but thanks for the free gear.

“Inspired by historical events and characters, this work of fiction was designed, developed and produced by a multicultural team of various religious faiths and beliefs” Yeah, I remember that one time in history class how Ardyn showed up in the middle of an Egyptian tomb from a meteor falling to earth and a giant armored man with sword wings showed up to stop him from taking a stroll.

In FFXV story it states Ardyn was ostracized and demonized by a jealous king, that usurped his throne. In story it says that happened about 2,000 years ago. Final Fantasy XV dropped in 2016. Assassin Creed Origins takes place around 49 BCE. That's about 2,065 years ago. I see what you did there Square Enix and Ubisoft, clever... I think this a Episode Ardyn teaser.

Guys I got it. It's said that the Crystal was used to banish Ardyn. What better place to banish someone then a funky trap in another dimension(ancient egypt). When Bayek released Ardyn, Bahamut came to retrieve Ardyn from unleashing havoc upon a world where no one would have the power to stop him.

So let me get this straight; I just released an evil demonic unaging person on the world from his prison just because the game gave me an objective to do so?

Bahamut chased him across universes. “Nah, you’re coming here, dammit.”

I'm not into the gear for this mission, but just to be able to see this moment because hearing Bayek pray to the gods the way he did was amazing.

So Ardyn was the one that broke the Sphinx nose.

So we’re just gonna ignore the fact that everyone in Egypt didn’t notice the events that had happen? Ok then.

I wish there was a dlc in ac origins where during the AC festival, bayek was transported to Eos or in FFXV Noctis would help Bayek. We could see what Bayek would look like in Final Fantasy

I'm shook that they actually put Ardyn in here

Bahamut be like "Nuh-uh. You're coming back to Eos with me."

Ardyn would have made entire Egypt his kingdom

This was so weird when I experienced it. When I finished it, I was like, “Did I just bring Final Fantasy into Assassin’s creed?”

I knew that the Roman numeral 15 has to be from final fantasy. The only thing that I saw was Ardyn Izunia in this side quest

You could notice the difference of cinematic style when Ardyn shows up until Bahamut gone and back to Bayek again

My jaw droped like fire when I saw the cutscene of meteor droping down or well, the star. But the video with Ardyn & Bahamut was epic, to think AC would collab with FFXV. Ultima Weapon is nice and Chocobo mount was like a fun thing to get. Shield is aright.

I found cool how ac and ffxv made a collab i loved festival of assasin in ffxv but i never managed to get ffxv item in origins but i think noctis (the protag from ffxv) looks good in altair outfit great collab

Not only does the gear look dope, but its pretty useful, kweh for one was a pretty fast and versatile camel, literally carried me through most of the main story (see what I did there 😂) and that ultima blade crits really hard too. Not so sure about the shield, I used but not sure if bleeding on block actually works

There should totally be a fanfic about ardyn spreading the starscourge across earth in assassin's creed.

Thats so Awesome!!!! More games need to do this !!! You get the ultima blade a chocobo mount and zeidreich shield that is a long time artifact in FF series

i have learned a lot of history in assassin creed origins more than the other parts we even have tour mode this game is really beautiful.

In a place, where you can power up pillars, there's a drawings in the wall with Ardyn and Noctis egyptian-style

Well in FFXV it is said that ardyn was ostracized and demonized by a jealous king...and the fact that he absorb every Daemon into his body..making him immortal..and thus why he live..through the aincent Egypt time...beside ardyn event was 2000 thousand years ago..even before the Egypt time I think... And now bayek just realese him.. Well shit .... I think bayek can start warping through his sword now..

When i heard the name of the quest all i could think of is Craster's wives from Game Of Thrones "A gift for the gods. A gift for the gods" lol

Bro when I first saw this I was so amazed. I had no idea who that was but I knew i stumbled into a FF Easter egg. That’s was a good experience

I've been playing through AC Origins for the first time. I recenrly finished the main story and was mopping up the remainder of the side quests I had missed. I just did this one.... Mind blown. As soon as he appeared I was like "THATS THE GUY FROM FF15!!!" I love the sword, shield and mount. Kinda wish I had got them sooner, though I guess I could use them in New Game +

If you cant get the pillars to open at dawn try resetting your game. I had to reset twice and then it worked.

Man the beginning, i remember playing Mad Max on PC jessus the graphics man 💜

I think that in the game when Egypt was beginning to exist, in FFXV the Mystic King imprisoned his brother Ardyn in our world using tech from Insomnia to create the prison to keep him from claiming his revenge on the family and the crystal (because Ardyn turned an immortal demonic being because he tried to save his homeworld from the star scourge by using his gift of storing darkness in his body to protect others, until the dark energy stored in his body twisted his mind). Of course the Mystic King knew Ardyn would return and the prophecy of "the king of light" who would make sure Ardyn would permanently R.I.P, that came from the crystal kicked in. 2,065 years passed, Bayek accidentally frees Ardyn not knowing who he is, Bahamut(god of war in the world of FFXV, who is really huge, whose armor looks good, and his wings are actually giant swords and can use them obviously as extra swords and ultimate attacks in combat)somehow feels his presence to have connection to the royal family, gets him from our world unaware it's Ardyn, and Ardyn as the gentleman he acts/pretends to be, somehow gives Bayek a replica of Noctis weapon and Ziedrich shield to whoever freed him setting the events in FFXV in motion. It's my theory people, I may be wrong, because I cannot explain why the meteor crashed in Ardyn's prison/tomb guiding Bayek to it or how Ardyn or Bahamut had replicas of the weapons Bayek received. but I could explain why the egyptians knew about the events that would take place in FFXV, the Mystic King must have asked the first citizens of Egypt to guard Ardyn's tomb and explain to them of what would come if Ardyn was freed, and somehow the Egyptians must have known about the king of light prophecy and decided to write it down in history in order to have a reason why they guarded the tomb for the decendants to guard it for the future events to come, they must have believed the Mystic King was a god because of the kingly powers must have looked like god like abilities and that the strange tech used to make the prison was believed to come from the heavens, and that Ardyn was a dangerous creature being imprisoned, maybe because of that they believed the Mystic King was a god and did whatever he asked, the egyptians couldn't have made a prison that advanced and complicated. Of course they must have grown tired of guarding it and future generations must have believed that the prophecy would never come true and gave up on guarding the tomb and lost memory of the tech making up the prison to the point in where we are. Again it is all a theory. My theory.

Welp now we all know who's fault is it that Ardyn got freed from his prison, way to go Bayek

This DLC is a welcome surprise, but WOW, Ardyn and Bahamut, especially Ardyn, look really ugly here. They look much nicer in FFXV.

I got final fantasy xv after getting this game not even knowing that this easter egg was from this game since I found it before I got it and I suddenly knew everything lol

So, Square-Enix give us a festival, little mission, customes and weapons; and Ubisoft just a puzzle, a tiny cinematic, a sword, a shield and Skew. I was expecting something bigger

When I saw XV Final fantasy came to mind but not in a serious way. Then I saw Ardyn and I thought i was hallucinating. I didn't know I needed this in my life

I rented this game once but wow never knew about this. Meaning he's the 3rd person to wield Noctis's Ultima Blade. First to wield it was the original owner of course, second one: 2B from Nier Automata.
