The fact Berg mentions Lucy leads to me to believe was going to be an "Inspiration: Lucy Stillman" file, but Ubisoft cut it.
@brandonperez8977
@brandonperez8977 2 года назад
Maybe there weren't many info about Lucy because we have never seen her true self until she was being so suspicious at the end of AC Brotherhood because she was looking around while Desmond was picking up the Apple.
@hellstrom4209
@hellstrom4209 Месяц назад
@brandonperez8977 mainly, it's because Lucy wasn't planned to be a traitor. Ubisoft killed her off because the actress demanded royalties. The traitor twist was a middle finger as there were no audio logs or anything that showed her 'true self'.

Berg is hypocritical when it comes to Haytham Kenway. I bet if Berg's own child became an assassin and Berg found out, Berg would stay his blade as well. No parent can kill their own child mate. And Haytham was a morally ethical templar, not the tyrants like the Borgias. And also the truth is too much freedom or control are both chaotic. A strict balance between them is the only way to achieve peace and cumulative goals.
@randomcenturion7264

Problem is, every time the Templars and Assassins try to reach an accord, someone on either side fucks it up. It's a pity. In the end, if both groups truly worked towards peace, they could really make the world better.
@enlightenmentdoesntcomeeas5337
Finally someone understands. Haytham is so hated simply for choosing being a Templar. He understood the Templar cause and wished to carry it out truthfully. Even the wikia page describes him as an Assassin traitor. When he simply chose his own path. Isn't that what freedom is? What Assassins fight for? The right to choose what they desire without being criticized for it. May the father of understanding guide you brother.

@@lautaro8611 I think we can all agree that he's a complex character. There's a lot more to him than just working with the bad guys. Though admittedly given the nature of the Assassin Templar conflict the lines between good and bad tend to get blurred.

AC Rogue showed Shay a true embodiment of the Templar Order. He is kind, caring, ruthless, and non-bias. He fought the Assassins not out of revenge but to stop them from breaking another precursor site and because he fully liked the Templar ideology over the Assassin's Creed.

I saw him as self-righteous. He outright accused Achilles of intentionally destroying Lisbon when Achilles had no idea just to ease his own guilt for triggering an earthquake. And he mainly chose the Templars because they brown nosed him. Ubisoft was too scared to make us play as a villain, or at least a morally questionable character, so they butchered the Assassins and swapped their roles with the Templars.

You're right and I believe it's time to see things from the Templar's perspective and to see the flaws in Assassin's Creed and ideology. If Ubisoft does comply with that idea then hopefully some the areas they could go in are Scandinavia, Germany, France, America, the UK, the Netherlands, Japan, and some asian countries.
@gus.1997
@gus.1997 4 года назад
@@takerweapon1 Assassins may have flaws in their actions, but at the end of the day they are the ones who protect freedom and free will. They are, ultimately, the right side. Of course, it's not all about good guys and bad guys, because, like the Nazis, the Templars didn't think they were bad. They really believed that they did it for the greater good. But again, like the Nazis, they were in fact the evil side. They want to end freedom and democracy. They want to dominate humanity just as the Isu did. They are bad at their core, even if they don't see it. The Assassins, on the other hand, have no desire to control. Of course, they have their flaws, and of course many of them will fall and do things that shouldn't be done. But the big difference between them and the Templars is that they don't intend to do that. These are errors that occur along the way. They are humans after all, and humans make mistakes. And they suffer a lot for their mistakes. They deeply regret it. And then they evolve and move on. So I find it a waste of time to see the Templar perspective. It is not a situation where both sides are equally wrong. The Templars have a much longer list of crimes. And their crimes are intentional and well planned.

Bert Moens Well, technically Al Mualim was never offically a Templar. :P Also there was always Vali Cel Tradat from ACR but he only got a brief mention here. And I'm pretty sure neither Haytham nor Daniel never actually joined the Assassins. Their lives were fucked up too early on.
@Subject0ne

If I'm not mistaken Haytham was getting trained by Edward to become an Assassin, but they never finished their training (for obvious reasons). Daniel Cross was an Assassin, but he was a sleeper agent as well for the Templars.
@CosmicClefable35
@CosmicClefable35 9 лет назад
That's because the Templars from the Ezio trilogy were "black". They were just stereotypical antagonist, and that's why I believe they ruined the Templar's actual image, and messed up most of the AC fandom, thinking the Assassin's are the "good guys" thanks to Ezio.

Alfred reformed the order for good purpose, but it sadly failed, as we see, by those who inherited after him. Except Haytham and De La Serre family members, they all ruined templar. Why not Shay? After the rogue, he caused the French Revolution which killed many innocents. That pretty much contradicts the very reason why he became a traitor.

Well the Jedi say they are the keepers of peace. They try to maintain it. I never heard or read a description of the Jedi function being to put and end to all conflict/war/distress entirely. Templars want to take free will away from everyone. Sith just want to attain and abuse great power, the Assassin's in these games fight against those who want to attain great power and abuse it, fighting for people freedom
@DeathMessenger1988
@DeathMessenger1988 6 лет назад
I wouldn't say either Jedi or Assassins are like Sith and Templars Because all 4 orders are all incredibly self-centered, hypocritical and paradoxical with their own goals and beliefs, and these tend to shift and change with each era. All four of them claim they should have hegemonical influence or control over their environment because it's either the best moral thing or the natural thing to do. It isn't just a vicious cycle of war, but a vicious cycle of beliefs that always self-destruct and rebuild over millennia, never learning from their own mistakes and never achieving any compromise. Assassins, Templars, Jedi and Sith don't just sabotage each other, but their own members whenever they seek truces or changes, and outsider who interferes or stumbles upon them. Because all sides, at their very worse, want to reduce the conflict to a "good vs. evil" morality, or a "no holds barred" conflict which can only end in death, which just keeps escalating things infinitely. The Sith and Jedi would be, funnily enough, the middle road that embodies the worst of both groups. Jedi CLAIM they're like the best of Assassins and Templars, when deep down they're the worst of both sides. They create a theocratic organization with castes that get to control what the whole group believes in. They may not be openly violent, but whenever someone doesn't follow their doctrine, they become social outcasts and pariahs and get nagged to death or into falling to the Dark Side. And like both Assassins and Templars, the Jedi never learn from their mistakes. Plus, they have the bad tendency to think they have the right to say whenever people get to live or die based on personal beliefs or emotions (that they otherwise look down on), then side with the very same sort they claim to hate and fight against (i.e. corrupt politicians and criminals). When confronted with this hard true, both Assassins and Jedi just revert to plain old violence, no different from the factions they claim to be "the ones who only deal in absolutes". Sith start out like the Assassins, rebelling against the Jedi for trying to control them and what they can do and learn. But then they wind up like the worst Templars, creating a tyrannical dictatorship where they can rape, pillage and kill to their heart's content. The best Sith are a hybrid between Templar and Assassin, in that they know the best way to help the galaxy is by taking action and charge, not by being comic book heroes who deal with crime but not the cause of it and being too passive to deal with issues. Rather than say that any side is the ultimate good side, I try finding individuals that match my own personal morality and belief. Jedi - Ahsoka Tano, Quinlan Vos, Jolee Bindo, Anakin Skywalker, Kyle Katarn, Sith - Revan, Darth Plagueis, Emperor's Wrath and Sith Inquisitor, Darth Traya, Darth Malgus, Darth Marr, Lana Beniko, Darth Vader, Count Dooku Assassins - Shaun Hastings, Machiavelli (duh), Piri Reis, Aveline de Grandpe, Edward Kenway, Arno Dorian, Comte de Mirabeau, Templars - Ahmet, Stefano da Bagnone, Emilio Barbarigo, Manuel Palaiologos, Vali cel Tradat, Haytham Kenway, Shay Cormac and the Colonial Templars in general, Laureano de Torres, Élise and François de la Serre, Albert Boden, Pothinus, Julius Caesar (I refuse to let AC Origins screw up Caesar's story like that), Sophia Rikkin, Juhani Berg himself. In fact, Sophia and Berg are the only Modern Templars I like and trust not to give Juno exactly what she wants.

This my favourite files of Berg being inspired by the assassin turncoats that joined the Templar cause yep it seems Templars order purpose is far way better then Assassin’s purpose for freedom since order is what our great Earth needs over the silly freedom idea the assassin’s hypothesis idea about 100% all the way uphold the principles of our order and all that for which we stand, Never share our secrets nor divulge in the true nature of our work, Do so until death, whatever the cost this is the rightfully creed for humanity and the world its the way to a path of light and brand new world of unity and good order for utopia, I am Drew Harding soon one day to become, George Harding, I will help the Templars give humanity a new bright future to inspire and the Assassin’s will never stop that ever from achieving our dreams of the New World indeed May the father of understanding guide us all oorah.
