Ac3 was a lazy port of the original version with only added legacy robe. They didn't even bother to fix some old glitches in it. Like oak island wolf qte and dyed robe didn't appear in cutscene.

@Matuscara but aliasing is stronger the higher the contrast 😅 Also alien isolation proved that the switch is capable of better anti aliasing than the ps4 xP The cpu might be cellphone class but the gpu is in another league than cellphones.

AC 3 is worse technically than Rogue/Black Flag on every other platform. No wonder they didn't put enough effort to make it better for Switch either. The Remastered AC III is a fucking joke when it comes to optimisation.

wish I knew. I still enjoy AC 3 so I got it for the switch, but they definitely didn't do us right on the AC 3 remaster. AC rebel collection is proof that they just got lazy with 3, bc rebel collection looks awesome on switch. So my guess is, they were just straight up lazy lol

What ambient occlusion? Minute? And facial details are exactly the same, the increased resolution and increased contrast is what's changing the way they look

@@YOEL_44 ok, now that i look more carefully, the facial detail is the same. i thought i could see more veins and wrinkles, but you really gotta look carefully to see the same details on ps3 buuuut examples of ambient occlusion cranked up to 11, whether it be more added, or the resolution was much better 1:40 look around his eyes and under his neck. 3:17. higher res AO brings out the depth of his hair on switch, as apposed to the flatter look it has on ps3

@@dexthegamer3234 The first example is not ambient occlusion, is just regular shading, and the hair is just a texture which with the cranked contrast looks sharper

Only in portability. In the docked mode it's actually not too far off Xbox one

@@thelegendgamer33 maybe on a couple games, but the vast majority are quite noticeably dowgraded. Especially when you consider performance overall, with visuals, pop in issues AND frames per second, slowdown etc...I own all three major systems and love them all equally. I'm not a fanboy or anything. But being objective, the Switch is not nearly as capable. But it doesn't bother me, because it's still remarkable what they've done on such a small portable system. And the library of games is awesome. My only complaint is I wish there was a virtual console-type system (like on the Wii), where older Nintendo games, from more platforms, were easily accessible.

@@tjriz91 I never said the games weren't downgraded a d they are; but that's because they have to target portable and build it for that then enhance it for docked per se

@@thelegendgamer33 I'm referring to speciffically the docked capability. It's still impressive considering the size, and that all the dock adds is a more stable power source. But look at a game like Divinity 2, or the Witcher 3, or DOOM...the differences are stark when comparing in docked mode. I'm cool with it because of the portability, but in the best of circumstances the performance falls quite short.

Literally the only thing the dock adds is more efficient source of power, for the processor to function at it's best. And the television it's connected to slightly boosts the resolution. Just because of what is there internally, it physically can't achieve anything near the Xbox One or PS4. But like I said, it's still impressive.

Yeah I found that too but only really in portable mode. On the TV, I have my sharpness down to 0 and it looks good. Contrast is still a little too high but impressed to have this game on a portable gaming system :)

Xbox360 is the same as Ps3, play it and you will see that is more like the ps4 remaster

In Handheld mode yes the Switch is a little bit stronger than a PS3 and Xbox 360,but in docked mode the Switch is twice as strong as in handheld and comes powerwise close to a base Xbox One, but it can't really use this power since games also have to run in handheld mode + optimizeing between the two modes is an absolute pain in the ass.

Yeah nintendo exclusives like remastered games in 60 bucks charge... Sadly nintendo isnt innovative at all

How on earth did you get that assumption lol, the switches hardware is more efficient then ps3s not to mention the vast amount of ram then ps3, clock speeds only mean so much when each core isn't as efficient as newer tech witcher 3 would most likely not even be able to boot on a ps3 or load textures properly with with its lacking vram

@@sebastiankarlsson7358 you realize crysis was fully redone for consoles stripped of most what was on PC, they implemented a fully redone lighting system, detail was severely stripped, audio was redone, foliage was pretty much jagged pixels, the AI was worse, foliage physics were removed, LODs were reduced greatly all effects were reduced.not to mention they changed engines from cry engine 2 to 3 which was basically a engine refitted for consoles to help with the limited RAM. If crysis didn't swap engines you'd never play it on last gens console. So no witcher 3 can't play on ps3 on it's current engine. Not to mention the porting team said witcher 3 ran at 10fps when they started working on it for switch, they cut out unused areas in the game did a new lighting system, altered cloth simulation, LODs, textures etc and that was on a more powerful system then ps3 so how you think a ps3 gonna run witcher 3 😂

thedreadedzero Alien Isolation on Switch actually looks better than the PS4 version due to its more proper implementation of AA. Other than that, they look identical. The video here clearly shows AC Rogue looking better on Switch than the PS3 version, with the PS3 looking washed out at times. Also the game runs at a lower res on PS3.

Sig Fried I watched the video twice and the super dark shadows on the switch version almost make it look cell shaded when compared to the more realistic look of the ps3 version. It might just be a matter of opinion/preference but to me the right side looks better and less distracting
